  abstract     = {{The increasingly simulation-driven design process of ultrasonic transducers requires several reliable parameters for the description of the material behaviour. Exact results can only be achieved when a single specimen is used in the identification process, which typically is prone to the problem of low sensitivities to certain material parameters and thus high uncertainties. Therefore, a custom electrode topology for increased sensitivity is proposed for a piezoceramic disc. The thereupon conducted measurements of the electric impedance can be used as a starting point for an inverse approach where an equivalent simulation model is used to identify fitting material parameters. An optimisation strategy based on a preliminary sensitivity analysis is presented that leads to a good agreement between measurement and simulation. Furthermore, the proposed measurement procedure is able to evaluate the quality of the simulation model. Hence, different frequency-dependent damping models are presented and evaluated.}},

  abstract     = {{Digital devices such as social robots are increasingly being developed as artificially intelligent learning tools that could support and expand early childhood education by providing new ways to engage children in social interaction. Given this potential, research in child-robot interaction has begun to investigate which aspects of a robot’s behavior provide advantages within the interaction. However, a perspective that addresses the child’s communicative behavior within a child-robot interaction is seldom explored. In this chapter, the results of a long-term child-robot study with preschool children are presented, in which children’s multimodal response behavior during a word learning task with a social robot was in focus. The results reveal that children not only used different communicative multimodal signals such as gestures or delay markers when interacting with the robot, but also changed their behavior over the course of the sessions. The findings suggest that children shape their responses to a robot in a manifold multimodal way beyond verbal lexical utterances. Finally, implications for future child-robot interaction research, as well as identifying issues that will need to be resolved for social robots to be helpful and responsive in interaction with young learners, are discussed.}},

  abstract     = {{Although there are numerous design methodologies for the LLC resonant converter, they often do not consider the possibility of input voltage adjustment. In the proposed concept, a modular multi-level converter (MMC) is used to step-down the three-phase medium voltage of 10 kV, and provide up to 1 MW of pure DC power to the load consisting of electrolyzers for hydrogen generation. Therefore, each module is extended by an LLC resonant converter to adapt to the specific electrolyzers DC voltage range of 142...220 V and to provide galvanic isolation. In order to achieve a high efficiency for a wide range of load conditions, the input voltage of the LLC converter is adjusted between 600 V and 770 V while operating at resonance or close to resonance. The parameters of the 11kW LLC resonant converter with an integrated leakage inductance are systematically optimized to maximize the efficiency for all loads while achieving zero-voltage switching. For a fast estimation of eddy current losses, a new method is proposed, which uses a single FEM simulation to fit newly developed loss equations. The calculated average efficiency is 97.8%. The prototype of the LLC converter reaches a peak efficiency of over 98% at resonance at half load which is similar to the precalculated value.}},

Schnell avancierte sie so zum Paradigma – einerseits für das weibliche Geschlecht, andererseits für die Ausübung von Macht, aber auch für den antiken ‚Orient‘ im Allgemeinen. Semiramis findet sich in der Folge in nahezu allen Literatur- und Kunstgattungen der Spätantike, des Mittelalters, der Renaissance und der Frühen Neuzeit und erhielt so einen festen Platz im kulturellen Gedächtnis der westlichen Welt. An ihr wurden über die Epochen hinweg Weiblichkeit und Herrschaft miteinander verknüpft, Transgressionen von weiblichen Handlungsräumen thematisiert, Geschlechterordnungen und Geschlechternormen verhandelt und Handlungsspielräume für das weibliche Geschlecht reflektiert.
Der Band folgt den Spuren der Semiramis durch die Jahrhunderte – von der griechischen Historiographie des 5. Jahrhunderts v.Chr. bis auf die Opernbühnen des Barock. Er kombiniert eine historisch-kritische Aufarbeitung des in den antiken Quellentexten präsentierten Semiramisbildes mit der späteren Wahrnehmung, Aneignung und Verargumentierung der Semiramis als Figur der Erinnerung.}},

  abstract     = {{Faults in the realization and usage of cyber-physical systems can cause significant security issues. Attackers might exploit vulnerabilities in the physical configurations, control systems, or accessibility through internet connections. For CPS, two challenges are combined: Firstly, discipline-specific security measures should be applied. Secondly, new measures have to be created to cover interdisciplinary impacts. For instance, faulty software configurations in cyber-physical production systems (CPPS) might allow attackers to manipulate the correct control of production processes impacting the quality of end products. From liability and publicity perspective, a worst-case scenario is that such a corrupted product is delivered to a customer. In this context, security-oriented fault-tolerance in Systems Engineering (SE) requires measures to evaluate interdisciplinary system designs with regard to potential scenarios of attacks. The paper at hand contributes a conceptual threat modelling approach to cover potential attack scenarios. The approach can be used to derive both system-level and discipline-specific security solutions. As an application case, issues are focused on which attackers intend to exploit vulnerabilities in a CPPS. The goal is to support systems engineers in verification and validation tasks regarding security-oriented fault-tolerance.}},
