  abstract     = {{Intelligent mechatronic systems, such as self-optimizing systems, allow an adaptation of the system behavior at runtime based on the current situation. To do so, they generally select among several pre-defined working points. A common method to determine working points for a mechatronic system is to use model-based multiobjective optimization. It allows finding compromises among conflicting objectives, called objective functions, by adapting parameters. To evaluate the system behavior for different parameter sets, a model of the system behavior is included in the objective functions and is evaluated during each function call. Intelligent mechatronic systems also have the ability to adapt their behavior based on their current reliability, thus increasing their availability, or on changed safety requirements; all of which are summed up by the common term dependability. To allow this adaptation, dependability can be considered in multiobjective optimization by including dependability-related objective functions. However, whereas performance-related objective functions are easily found, formulation of dependability-related objective functions is highly system-specific and not intuitive, making it complex and error-prone. Since each mechatronic system is different, individual failure modes have to be taken into account, which need to be found using common methods such as Failure-Modes and Effects Analysis or Fault Tree Analysis. Using component degradation models, which again are specific to the system at hand, the main loading factors can be determined. By including these in the model of the system behavior, the relation between working point and dependability can be formulated as an objective function. In our work, this approach is presented in more detail. It is exemplified using an actively actuated single plate dry clutch system. Results show that this approach is suitable for formulating dependability-related objective functions and that these can be used to extend system lifetime by adapting system behavior.}},

  abstract     = {{A model to calculate the locally resolved tangential contact forces of the wheel rail contact with respect to contact kinematics, material and surface properties as well as temperature is introduced. The elasticity of wheel and rail is modeled as an elastic layer consisting of point contact elements connected by springs to each other and to the wheel. Each element has two degrees of freedom in tangential directions. The resulting total stiffness matrix is reduced to calculate only the position of the elements in contact. Friction forces as well as contact stiffnesses are incorporated by a nonlinear force-displacement characteristic, which originates from a detailed contact model. The contact elements are transported through the contact zone in discrete time steps. After each time step an equilibrium is calculated. For all elements, their temperature and its influence on local friction are regarded by calculating friction power and temperature each time step.}},

  abstract     = {{Parts produced by Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) tend to have rough and undulating surfaces with staircase effects on rounded and slanting areas of the part. This is due to the characteristics of the process. In many fields of application, high demands are made on the optical quality of the part. An improvement in the surface quality of FDM parts made of Ultem*9085 can be achieved through post-treatment with a mass finishing process. In this paper, FDM specimens are post-treated in a disk finishing unit. Influences of the mass finishing process are analyzed with regard to the dependence of surface quality on the various process parameters and on the finishing medium, grinding time and grinding speed. The finishing efficiency depends on the finishing media and decreases for lower finishing time. For all media a lower disk velocity results a smaller grinding effect, but there are clearly differences between the finishing media. The paper also discusses effects of the grinding process on the mechanical properties of the parts. Especially small part geometries and parts build in z-direction tend to break during the finishing process.}},

  abstract     = {{Additive production techniques have the advantage of manufacturing parts without needing a forming tool. One of the most used additive manufacturing processes is "Fused Deposition Modeling" (FDM) which allows the production of prototypes and end-use parts. Due to the manufacture layer by layer, also complex part geometries can be created in one working step. Furthermore, lightweight parts with specific inner core structures can be manufactured in order to achieve good weightrelated strength properties. In this paper the mechanical behavior of lightweight parts manufactured with the 3D production system Fortus 400mc from Stratasys and the material Polyetherimide (PEI) with the trade name Ultem*9085 is analyzed. The test specimens were built up with different inner structures and building directions. Therefore, test specimens with known lightweight core geometries (e.g. corrugated and honeycomb cores) were designed. A four-point bending test was conducted to analyze the strength properties as well as the weight-related strength properties. Additionally the influence of the structure width, the structure wall thickness and the top layer thickness was analyzed using a honeycomb structure.}},

  abstract     = {{Abstract In this paper we present an approach for synchronizing a wireless acoustic sensor network using a two-stage procedure. First the clock frequency and phase differences between pairs of nodes are estimated employing a two-way message exchange protocol. The estimates are further improved in a Kalman filter with a dedicated observation error model. In the second stage network-wide synchronization is achieved by means of a gossiping algorithm which estimates the average clock frequency and phase of the sensor nodes. These averages are viewed as frequency and phase of a virtual master clock, to which the clocks of the sensor nodes have to be adjusted. The amount of adjustment is computed in a specific control loop. While these steps are done in software, the actual sampling rate correction is carried out in hardware by using an adjustable frequency synthesizer. Experimental results obtained from hardware devices and software simulations of large scale networks are presented.}},

  abstract     = {{"Acoustic sensor network clock synchronization via time stamp exchange between the sensor nodes is not accurate enough for many acoustic signal processing tasks, such as speaker localization. To improve synchronization accuracy it has therefore been proposed to employ a Kalman Filter to obtain improved frequency deviation and phase offset estimates. The estimation requires a statistical model of the errors of the measurements obtained from the time stamp exchange algorithm. These errors are caused by random transmission delays and hardware effects and are thus network specific. In this contribution we develop an algorithm to estimate the parameters of the measurement error model alongside the Kalman filter based sampling clock synchronization, employing the Expectation Maximization algorithm. Simulation results demonstrate that the online estimation of the error model parameters leads only to a small degradation of the synchronization performance compared to a perfectly known observation error model."}},

  abstract     = {{Charles Perrault literarisierte das Volksmärchen vom Mädchen mordenden, hässlichen Mann in seiner 1697 erschienenen Erzählung "La Barbe bleue". Ein knappes Jahrhundert später griffen erstmals Opernautoren Perraults Blaubart-Märchen auf; Jean-Michel Sedaine (Libretto) und André-Ernest-Modeste Grétry (Partitur) brachten am 2. März 1789 die opéra comique "Raoul Barbe-Bleue" zur Uraufführung, die bis 1818 152 Pariser Aufführungen erlebte und auch europaweit breit rezipiert wurde. Sedaines Libretto geht mit der Vorlage überaus kreativ um. Wo hält sich Sedaine an die Vorlage und an welchen Stellen greift er umarbeitend ein? Welchen theatermedialen Strategien folgen diese Übernahmen beziehungsweise Eingriffe? Grétry und Sedaine scheinen die Klarheit und "Gefährlichkeit" (Hedy Law) des körperlich-szenischen Zeigens bewusst zu nutzen, um dramatische Unmittelbarkeit zu erzielen. Wie schon Michel Paul Guy de Chabanon bemerkte, gute Musik könne leichter auf Worte als auf Gesten und Bewegungen verzichten, so ist auch Grétrys Musikdramaturgie in "Raoul Barbe-Bleue" in diesem Sinne zu verstehen: Das Drama wird konsequent in den Vordergrund einer szenischen Präsenz geholt, der Sedaine und Grétry noch über das Wort hinaus intensivste Ausdruckskraft zutrauten. An diesen Vordergrund hält sich Grétrys Musik mit Beharrlichkeit.}},

  abstract     = {{Mit ihren besonderen musikdramaturgischen Voraussetzungen stellt die Gattung Vaudeville mit Blick auf kulturelle Transfervorgänge einen besonders interessanten und komplizierten Fall dar. Wo in anderen Gattungszusammenhängen allenfalls die Texte einer Übersetzung bedürfen, gilt dies beim Vaudeville auch für die Musik, und zwar aufgrund ihres gewissermaßen literarischen Charakters, aufgrund ihres prädeterminierten semantischen Gehalts: Konnte ein deutscher Hörer beispielsweise bei einer aus dem Französischen übertragenen Oper die Bedeutung der Musik mithilfe von Text und Szene während des Zuschauens/Zuhörens verstehen, so war gerade dieser Modus der Theatermusikrezeption beim Vaudeville weder intendiert noch möglich, wo der Zuschauer die mit dem musikalischen Timbre-Verfahren eingebrachten Bedeutungsdimensionen bereits vorher, in anderen Zusammenhängen, gelernt haben musste. Der große Erfolg der Gattung Vaudeville im napoleonischen und postnapoleonischen Frankreich ging auch in Deutschland mit einer intensiven Auseinandersetzung mit der Gattung einher. Hier stand die Frage der Übersetzbarkeit weniger der textlichen, als vielmehr der musikalischen Komponente im Zentrum – eine Transferfrage, die sich in dieser Grundsätzlichkeit für keine andere (Musik-)Theatergattung stellte. Dies spiegelt sich sowohl in der theoretischen als auch der praktischen Auseinandersetzung mit der französischen Gattung im deutschen Sprachraum.}},

  abstract     = {{Designbasierte Forschung zielt darauf, praktische Problemstellungen zu lösen und gleichzeitig wissenschaftliche Theorien (weiter) zu entwickeln. Dabei durchläuft designbasierte Forschung in der Regel die Phasen der Problemdefinition, der Entwicklung eines didaktischen Designs, der zyklischen Design-Implementation sowie der Evaluation und Reflexion in enger Kooperation von Wissenschaft und Praxis. Inwieweit es mittels designbasierter Forschung gelingen kann, wissenschaftliche Gültigkeit und praktische Relevanz von Forschung gleichermassen zu steigern, wird im Beitrag anhand des Konzepts multipler Signifikanzen erörtert. Dabei wird diskutiert, wie die Gestaltung der Kooperation von Forschenden und Praktikern/-innen dazu beitragen kann, die praktische, statistische, klinische und wirtschaftliche Signifikanz des designbasierten Forschungsprozesses sicherzustellen.}},

  abstract     = {{Beim Übergang von der Schule in die Hochschule stehen Studienanfänger/innen einer Vielzahl von Herausforderungen gegenüber (z. B. Ankommen am Studienort, Bewältigung der Studienanforderungen). Dabei gibt es - abgesehen von deskriptiven Untersuchungen - kaum gesicherte Forschungsergebnisse darüber, in welchem Umfang individuell unterschiedliche Eingangsvoraussetzungen die wahrgenommene Intensität der Übergangsherausforderungen beeinflussen. Mittels einer Längsschnittstudie wird eine Kohorte von Studienanfängerinnen und -anfängern anhand ihrer Selbstwirksamkeit in Gruppen eingeteilt. Es wird gezeigt, dass diese Gruppen sich auch im Ausmass der erwarteten und erlebten Herausforderungen des ersten Studienjahres signifikant unterscheiden.}},
