The working principle meanwhile gives rise to the crucial problem and challenge to protect the metasurface from dust or clean the unavoidable contaminants during daily usage. Here, taking advantage of the intelligent bioinspired surfaces which exhibit self-cleaning properties, a versatile dielectric metasurface benefiting from the obtained superhydrophilic or quasi-superhydrophobic states is shown. The design is realized by embedding the metasurface inside a large area of wettability supporting structures, which is highly efficient in fabrication, and achieves both optical and wettability functionality at the same time. The superhydrophilic state enables an enhanced optical response with water, while the quasi-superhydrophobic state imparts the fragile antennas an ability to self-clean dust contamination. Furthermore, the metasurface can be easily switched and repeated between these two wettability or functional states by appropriate treatments in a repeatable way, without degrading the optical performance. The proposed design strategy will bring new opportunities to smart metasurfaces with improved optical performance, versatility, and physical stability."}],"file":[{"date_created":"2021-10-25T06:42:52Z","creator":"zentgraf","file_id":"26748","content_type":"application/pdf","success":1,"file_name":"AdvOptMat_Lu_2021.pdf","access_level":"closed","file_size":2801333,"relation":"main_file","date_updated":"2021-10-25T06:42:52Z"}],"date_created":"2021-10-25T06:34:38Z","type":"journal_article","department":[{"_id":"15"},{"_id":"230"},{"_id":"289"}]},{"language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"date_updated":"2022-03-10T18:28:19Z","author":[{"orcid":"0000-0001-8210-4011","first_name":"Stefan Balthasar","last_name":"Schneider","full_name":"Schneider, Stefan Balthasar","id":"35343"},{"first_name":"Stefan","last_name":"Werner","full_name":"Werner, Stefan"},{"last_name":"Khalili","first_name":"Ramin","full_name":"Khalili, Ramin"},{"last_name":"Hecker","first_name":"Artur","full_name":"Hecker, Artur"},{"last_name":"Karl","first_name":"Holger","full_name":"Karl, Holger","id":"126"}],"year":"2022","title":"mobile-env: An Open Platform for Reinforcement Learning in Wireless Mobile Networks","department":[{"_id":"75"}],"type":"conference","keyword":["wireless mobile networks","network management","continuous control","cognitive networks","autonomous coordination","reinforcement learning","gym environment","simulation","open source"],"date_created":"2022-03-10T18:28:14Z","file":[{"file_size":223412,"access_level":"open_access","file_name":"author_version.pdf","date_updated":"2022-03-10T18:25:41Z","relation":"main_file","content_type":"application/pdf","file_id":"30237","creator":"stschn","date_created":"2022-03-10T18:25:41Z"}],"abstract":[{"text":"Recent reinforcement learning approaches for continuous control in wireless mobile networks have shown impressive\r\nresults. But due to the lack of open and compatible simulators, authors typically create their own simulation environments for training and evaluation. This is cumbersome and time-consuming for authors and limits reproducibility and comparability, ultimately impeding progress in the field.\r\n\r\nTo this end, we propose mobile-env, a simple and open platform for training, evaluating, and comparing reinforcement learning and conventional approaches for continuous control in mobile wireless networks. mobile-env is lightweight and implements the common OpenAI Gym interface and additional wrappers, which allows connecting virtually any single-agent or multi-agent reinforcement learning framework to the environment. While mobile-env provides sensible default values and can be used out of the box, it also has many configuration options and is easy to extend. We therefore believe mobile-env to be a valuable platform for driving meaningful progress in autonomous coordination of\r\nwireless mobile networks.","lang":"eng"}],"publication":"IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium (NOMS)","ddc":["004"],"user_id":"35343","_id":"30236","publisher":"IEEE","has_accepted_license":"1","conference":{"location":"Budapest","name":"IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium (NOMS)","start_date":"2022-04-25","end_date":"2022-04-29"},"status":"public","oa":"1","project":[{"name":"SFB 901: SFB 901","_id":"1"},{"name":"SFB 901 - C: SFB 901 - Project Area C","_id":"4"},{"_id":"16","name":"SFB 901 - C4: SFB 901 - Subproject C4"}],"quality_controlled":"1","citation":{"bibtex":"@inproceedings{Schneider_Werner_Khalili_Hecker_Karl_2022, title={mobile-env: An Open Platform for Reinforcement Learning in Wireless Mobile Networks}, booktitle={IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium (NOMS)}, publisher={IEEE}, author={Schneider, Stefan Balthasar and Werner, Stefan and Khalili, Ramin and Hecker, Artur and Karl, Holger}, year={2022} }","ama":"Schneider SB, Werner S, Khalili R, Hecker A, Karl H. mobile-env: An Open Platform for Reinforcement Learning in Wireless Mobile Networks. By breaking certain spatial symmetries, chiral structures arise and provide robust chiroptical responses to these plasmonic resonances. Here, we observe strong chiroptical responses in the linear and nonlinear optical regime for chiral L-handed helicoid-III nanoparticles and quantify them by means of an asymmetric factor, the so-called g-factor. We calculate the linear optical g-factors for two distinct chiroptical resonances to −0.12 and –0.43 and the nonlinear optical g-factors to −1.45 and −1.63. Daher wurde ein Prüfstand entwickelt, der die Untersuchung bei Gleitgeschwindigkeiten von bis zu 50 m/s bei verschiedenen Lastträgheiten ermöglicht. Variations with respect to punch geometries and cutting clearance are made to describe the damage behavior of the material under different loading conditions. Experimental investigations are conducted to identify the crack initiation in the specimens. Furthermore, the numerical FEM simulations are performed to identify the stress state at crack initiation. It is shown that different stress states from shear to biaxial tension can be achieved by changing the geometries of punch and varying the cutting clearance. Moreover, it is presented how changing the configurations can influence the stress state variables: Triaxiality and lode angle parameter."}],"issue":"c","publication":"Engineering Failure Analysis","doi":"10.1016/j.engfailanal.2022.106183","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"publication_status":"published","date_updated":"2022-04-25T07:48:20Z","article_type":"original","intvolume":" 136","title":"Influence of cutting clearance and punch geometry on the stress state in small punch test ","year":"2022","author":[{"full_name":"Otroshi, Mortaza","first_name":"Mortaza","last_name":"Otroshi","orcid":"0000-0002-8652-9209","id":"71269"},{"first_name":"Gerson","orcid":"0000-0002-2763-1246","last_name":"Meschut","full_name":"Meschut, Gerson","id":"32056"}],"publication_identifier":{"issn":["1350-6307"]}},{"type":"journal_article","keyword":["General Physics and Astronomy","General Engineering","Biochemistry","Genetics and Molecular Biology (miscellaneous)","General Materials Science","General Chemical Engineering","Medicine (miscellaneous)"],"department":[{"_id":"15"},{"_id":"230"},{"_id":"289"},{"_id":"623"}],"file":[{"content_type":"application/pdf","success":1,"file_id":"30196","date_updated":"2022-03-03T07:23:15Z","relation":"main_file","access_level":"closed","file_size":1001422,"file_name":"2022_ACSPhotonics_NonlinearChiral_Arxiv.pdf","date_created":"2022-03-03T07:23:15Z","creator":"zentgraf"}],"date_created":"2022-02-21T08:09:02Z","issue":"12","publication":"Advanced Science","doi":"10.1002/advs.202104508","main_file_link":[{"url":"https://doi.org/10.1002/advs.202104508","open_access":"1"}],"article_number":"2104508","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"date_updated":"2022-04-25T13:04:44Z","publication_status":"published","intvolume":" 9","article_type":"original","year":"2022","title":"Efficient Frequency Conversion with Geometric Phase Control in Optical Metasurfaces","author":[{"first_name":"Bernhard","last_name":"Reineke Matsudo","full_name":"Reineke Matsudo, Bernhard"},{"first_name":"Basudeb","last_name":"Sain","full_name":"Sain, Basudeb"},{"full_name":"Carletti, Luca","first_name":"Luca","last_name":"Carletti"},{"full_name":"Zhang, Xue","first_name":"Xue","last_name":"Zhang"},{"first_name":"Wenlong","last_name":"Gao","full_name":"Gao, Wenlong"},{"last_name":"Angelis","first_name":"Costantino","full_name":"Angelis, Costantino"},{"last_name":"Huang","first_name":"Lingling","full_name":"Huang, Lingling"},{"orcid":"0000-0002-8662-1101","last_name":"Zentgraf","first_name":"Thomas","full_name":"Zentgraf, Thomas","id":"30525"}],"publication_identifier":{"issn":["2198-3844","2198-3844"]},"oa":"1","quality_controlled":"1","project":[{"name":"TRR 142: TRR 142","_id":"53"},{"_id":"56","name":"TRR 142 - C: TRR 142 - Project Area C"},{"name":"TRR 142 - C5: TRR 142 - Subproject C5","_id":"75"}],"file_date_updated":"2022-03-03T07:23:15Z","citation":{"apa":"Reineke Matsudo, B., Sain, B., Carletti, L., Zhang, X., Gao, W., Angelis, C., Huang, L., & Zentgraf, T. It is shown that clamping of the components leads to superimposed residual stresses and geometry changes. Therefore, the part properties differ from the initial state of the semifinished products, which has to be considered in the design of clinched joints. This paper presents an approach for coupled determination of the properties of semifinished and finished parts during deep drawing and clamping as well as their effects on the joint quality during clinching. One method for the effective and efficient determination of the properties of semifinished products and components during production is using process data from the preceding manufacturing processes, which is concretely presented in this work. In addition to the interconnection of the entire production chain, it is necessary to define relevant process data for each individual manufacturing step and to correlate the data with the material properties reliably. Therefore, the cross-process interactions of different steps of the process chain for the manufacturing of sheet metal components and the effect of process variations on subsequent manufacturing steps are investigated. Consequently, the boundary conditions for a mechanical joining process based on data from preceding process steps can be predicted."}],"date_created":"2022-04-14T12:05:59Z","keyword":["Mechanical Engineering","General Materials Science"],"type":"journal_article","department":[{"_id":"157"}],"title":"Consideration of the manufacturing history of sheet metal components for the adaptation of a clinching process","year":"2022","author":[{"last_name":"Heyser","first_name":"Per","full_name":"Heyser, Per","id":"40450"},{"first_name":"S","last_name":"Wiesenmayer","full_name":"Wiesenmayer, S"},{"first_name":"P","last_name":"Frey","full_name":"Frey, P"},{"last_name":"Nehls","first_name":"T","full_name":"Nehls, T"},{"full_name":"Scharr, C","last_name":"Scharr","first_name":"C"},{"full_name":"Flügge, W","first_name":"W","last_name":"Flügge"},{"first_name":"M","last_name":"Merklein","full_name":"Merklein, M"},{"id":"32056","last_name":"Meschut","orcid":"0000-0002-2763-1246","first_name":"Gerson","full_name":"Meschut, Gerson"}],"publication_identifier":{"issn":["1464-4207","2041-3076"]},"date_updated":"2022-04-25T20:01:18Z","publication_status":"published","article_type":"review","article_number":"146442072210775","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"doi":"10.1177/14644207221077560"},{"date_created":"2022-04-27T11:07:03Z","keyword":["General Physics and Astronomy"],"type":"journal_article","department":[{"_id":"15"},{"_id":"230"},{"_id":"289"},{"_id":"623"}],"publication":"Physical Review Applied","issue":"4","main_file_link":[{"url":"https://doi.org/10.48550/arXiv.2202.11980","open_access":"1"}],"article_number":"044022","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"doi":"10.1103/physrevapplied.17.044022","title":"Spin-Orbit Interaction of Light Enabled by Negative Coupling in High-Quality-Factor Optical Metasurfaces","year":"2022","publication_identifier":{"issn":["2331-7019"]},"author":[{"first_name":"Wenlong","last_name":"Gao","full_name":"Gao, Wenlong"},{"full_name":"Sain, Basudeb","first_name":"Basudeb","last_name":"Sain"},{"last_name":"Zentgraf","orcid":"0000-0002-8662-1101","first_name":"Thomas","full_name":"Zentgraf, Thomas","id":"30525"}],"date_updated":"2022-04-27T11:09:11Z","publication_status":"published","intvolume":" 17","article_type":"letter_note","oa":"1","citation":{"bibtex":"@article{Gao_Sain_Zentgraf_2022, title={Spin-Orbit Interaction of Light Enabled by Negative Coupling in High-Quality-Factor Optical Metasurfaces}, volume={17}, DOI={10.1103/physrevapplied.17.044022}, number={4044022}, journal={Physical Review Applied}, publisher={American Physical Society (APS)}, author={Gao, Wenlong and Sain, Basudeb and Zentgraf, Thomas}, year={2022} }","ama":"Gao W, Sain B, Zentgraf T. Research on static analysis emphasizes its technical challenges but also mentions severe usability shortcomings. These shortcomings hinder the adoption of static analysis tools, and in some cases, user dissatisfaction even leads to tool abandonment.\r\nTo comprehensively assess the current state of the art, this paper presents the first systematic usability evaluation in a wide range of static analysis tools. We derived a set of 36 relevant criteria from the scientific literature and gathered a collection of 46 static analysis tools complying with our inclusion and exclusion criteria - a representative set of mainly non-proprietary tools. Then, we evaluated how well these tools fulfill the aforementioned criteria.\r\nThe evaluation shows that more than half of the considered tools offer poor warning messages, while about three-quarters of the tools provide hardly any fix support. Furthermore, the integration of user knowledge is strongly neglected, which could be used for improved handling of false positives and tuning the results for the corresponding developer. Finally, issues regarding workflow integration and specialized user interfaces are proved further.\r\nThese findings should prove useful in guiding and focusing further research and development in the area of user experience for static code analyses.","lang":"eng"}],"date_created":"2022-07-25T08:02:36Z","type":"conference","keyword":["Automated static analysis","Software usability"],"department":[{"_id":"76"}],"title":"A Large-Scale Study of Usability Criteria Addressed by Static Analysis Tools","year":"2022","author":[{"id":"41213","full_name":"Nachtigall, Marcus","first_name":"Marcus","last_name":"Nachtigall"},{"id":"32312","orcid":"0000-0001-6600-6171","last_name":"Schlichtig","first_name":"Michael","full_name":"Schlichtig, Michael"},{"full_name":"Bodden, Eric","last_name":"Bodden","orcid":"0000-0003-3470-3647","first_name":"Eric","id":"59256"}],"publication_identifier":{"isbn":["9781450393799"]},"date_updated":"2022-07-26T11:42:23Z","publication_status":"published","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"doi":"10.1145/3533767","citation":{"mla":"Nachtigall, Marcus, et al. “A Large-Scale Study of Usability Criteria Addressed by Static Analysis Tools.” Proceedings of the 31st ACM SIGSOFT International Symposium on Software Testing and Analysis, ACM, 2022, pp. 532–43, doi:10.1145/3533767.","bibtex":"@inproceedings{Nachtigall_Schlichtig_Bodden_2022, title={A Large-Scale Study of Usability Criteria Addressed by Static Analysis Tools}, DOI={10.1145/3533767}, booktitle={Proceedings of the 31st ACM SIGSOFT International Symposium on Software Testing and Analysis}, publisher={ACM}, author={Nachtigall, Marcus and Schlichtig, Michael and Bodden, Eric}, year={2022}, pages={532–543} }","ama":"Nachtigall M, Schlichtig M, Bodden E. Unfortunately, APIs can be misused, which can have catastrophic consequences, especially if the APIs provide security-critical functionalities like cryptography. Understanding what API misuses are, and for what reasons they are caused, is important to prevent them, e.g., with API misuse detectors. However, definitions and nominations for API misuses and related terms in literature vary and are diverse. This paper addresses the problem of scattered knowledge and definitions of API misuses by presenting a systematic literature review on the subject and introducing FUM, a novel Framework for API Usage constraint and Misuse classification. The literature review revealed that API misuses are violations of API usage constraints. To capture this, we provide unified definitions and use them to derive FUM. To assess the extent to which FUM aids in determining and guiding the improvement of an API misuses detectors' capabilities, we performed a case study on CogniCrypt, a state-of-the-art misuse detector for cryptographic APIs. The study showed that FUM can be used to properly assess CogniCrypt's capabilities, identify weaknesses and assist in deriving mitigations and improvements. And it appears that also more generally FUM can aid the development and improvement of misuse detection tools."}],"quality_controlled":"1","related_material":{"link":[{"url":"https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/9825763","relation":"confirmation"}]},"page":"673 - 684","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"_id":"31133","user_id":"32312","doi":"https://doi.org/10.1109/SANER53432.2022.00085","title":"FUM - A Framework for API Usage constraint and Misuse Classification","status":"public","year":"2022","author":[{"orcid":"0000-0001-6600-6171","last_name":"Schlichtig","first_name":"Michael","full_name":"Schlichtig, Michael","id":"32312"},{"first_name":"Steffen","last_name":"Sassalla","full_name":"Sassalla, Steffen"},{"last_name":"Narasimhan","first_name":"Krishna","full_name":"Narasimhan, Krishna"},{"full_name":"Bodden, Eric","last_name":"Bodden","first_name":"Eric","orcid":"0000-0003-3470-3647","id":"59256"}],"date_updated":"2022-07-26T11:42:30Z"},{"place":"Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates","date_created":"2022-11-15T08:29:26Z","type":"conference","publication":"Proceedings of the Fifth Workshop on Natural Language Processing and Computational Social Science","citation":{"bibtex":"@inproceedings{Stahl_Spliethöver_Wachsmuth, place={Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates}, title={To Prefer or to Choose? When language models learn from respective texts, they may reproduce or even amplify the bias. An effective way to mitigate bias is to generate counterfactual sentences with opposite agency and power to the training. Recent work targeted agency-specific verbs from a lexicon to this end. We argue that this is insufficient, due to the interaction of agency and power and their dependence on context. In this paper, we thus develop a new rewriting model that identifies verbs with the desired agency and power in the context of the given sentence. The verbs' probability is then boosted to encourage the model to rewrite both connotations jointly. According to automatic metrics, our model effectively controls for power while being competitive in agency to the state of the art. In our evaluation, human annotators favored its counterfactuals in terms of both connotations, also deeming its meaning preservation better.","lang":"eng"}],"extern":"1","_id":"34082","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"user_id":"77647","status":"public","year":"2022","title":"To Prefer or to Choose?
