These interconnected tendencies are rooted in essentialist conceptions of culture, the depoliticisation of educational practice, and the instrumental reduction of intercultural competence to a measurable skill. Drawing on critical pedagogy and decolonial scholarship, as well as empirical studies on monolingualism, assimilationism, and institutionalised hierarchies, the article demonstrates how well-intentioned initiatives often reproduce structural power asymmetries, symbolic violence, and epistemic marginalisation. It thus advocates an intercultural education grounded in critical reflexivity, political responsibility, and a sustained commitment to epistemic and social justice. Moving beyond reductive frameworks, the article advances dialogic, participatory, and decolonising approaches that interrogate dominant norms, recognise the pluriform and situated character of knowledge, and foreground the relational dynamics of interculturality. Intercultural learning is thus reframed as an ongoing, power-conscious process of negotiating difference within structurally unequal conditions rather than as the transmission of predefined competencies.","lang":"eng"}],"citation":{"ieee":"A. Therefore, their durability is significantly shortened by the need to refinish the surface to reinstate suitable surface parameters for rolling and casting thin aluminium or other metal strips. To extend the lifetime of the rollers, a solution to repair the surface has to be found. Due to the constraints in the TRC process, most surface repair processes are not suitable, too complex (multistage heat treatment) or too expensive. A significant level of complexity is added when these strategies are applied not only on integrated product level, but on lower levels of assemblies and parts. Therefore, approaches, like Design for Assembly, Disassembly and Reassembly (DfADR) become increasingly important including the consideration of ADR capabilities. To put DfADR into practice, it is necessary to structure ADR-related product data and make it usable for product engineers. For instance, assemblies resulting from disassembly might not be consistent with original assembly structures. Therefore, a Product Meta Data Model (MDM) is required to handle assembly-related data even when it has extreme characteristics. A literature review on related MDMs reveals a range of models for general product data and identifies a gap in consideration of assembly-related data. In an expert workshop, requirements are raised to evaluate existing models and develop ADR-related extensions. The MDM is conceptually modelled and validated by competence questions. AI-based requirements extraction using Large Language Models (LLMs) has the potential to support engineers in this task by analyzing large documents, for example. Existing evaluation approaches in AI-supported requirements engineering mainly assess individual requirements and their consistency with source documents, while quality criteria of requirements sets are largely neglected. This paper presents a five-step approach to evaluate the performance of current LLMs in generating requirements sets: a systematic literature review to identify quality criteria of requirements sets (1), exemplary generation of requirements sets from the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC using LLMs (2), examination (3), evaluation (4) and comparison (5) of the generated requirements sets. The study employed an exploratory qualitative research design, collecting data through semi-structured interviews and focus groups with 12 principals of highly-ranked inclusive schools from four countries: Australia, Italy, Switzerland, and Spain. In so doing, the emphasis was placed on the principals’ perspectives and practices that contribute to the development of an inclusive school culture. The iterative process of thematic analysis revealed five broad key factors that affect and impact school inclusivity, namely: institutional commitment to a collective inclusive culture; family partnership and co-responsibility; collaboration among key stakeholders (e.g. students, teachers, other staff); students’ voice and agency; and building and sustaining inter-institutional partnerships. Here, in an established material platform like lithium niobate the achievable wavelength and bandwidth combinations are usually limited by the material’s dispersion and its birefringence. In this regard, mixed crystals of lithium niobate tantalate (LNT) promise a novel material platform, because they allow tuning the birefringence, which is central for type II phase matching devices. Crucially, LNT offers crystal compositions without any birefringence, which still retain their second-order optical nonlinearity. Despite recent progress in the growth and fabrication of LNT, so far no works have investigated the unique properties of LNT for use in electro-optics, nonlinear or quantum optics. In this study, we explore nonlinear optical devices based on LNT for broad- and narrowband nonlinear optical interactions based on recently measured Sellmeier coefficients. Most interestingly, we find that compositions without birefringence allow the design of broadband, degenerate type II phase matching sources spanning the whole near- to mid-infrared range by only changing the poling period and pump wavelength. Such devices are not easily realizable in pure lithium niobate or lithium tantalate. It can thus be employed, e.g., to identify and visualize ferroelectric (FE) domain walls (DWs). While SR-based DW imaging relies on small changes in the intensity or position of Raman peaks at the DW, BCARS measurements may detect DW signatures with a drastically increased contrast and orders of magnitude faster imaging speed. However, while SR-based contrasts can be predicted from existing models, the increased DW contrasts in BCARS remain poorly understood. In this work, we develop a first-principles approach for the simulation of CARS spectra to investigate the origin of this BCARS signal contrast at periodically poled stoichiometric lithium niobate (sPPLN) DWs. Combining these atomistic simulations with strain modeling allows us to explore how strain affects the CARS signal generation at FE DWs. We then apply polarization-sensitive BCARS to image sPPLN DWs for different polarization configurations. Our results reveal additional Raman peaks specific to the DWs across all investigated polarization combinations, yielding a strong DW-to-bulk contrast that enables in situ identification and localization of DWs in two-dimensional BCARS maps. This material system allows for composition-dependent tuning of key optical parameters such as refractive indices and birefringence. While lithium niobate (LiNbO3, x = 0) and lithium tantalate (LiTaO3, x = 1) are well characterized, reliable dispersion data for intermediate compositions remain scarce, limiting accurate modeling and refractive index engineering. Here, we address this gap by experimentally determining the ordinary and extraordinary refractive indices of LiNb1−xTaxO3 over the spectral range of 405 − 1550 nm using an interferometric technique. As a result, composition-dependent refractive index dispersion and Sellmeier coefficients are derived and discussed in relation to previous studies and structural aspects. In particular, a monotonic decrease of the ordinary refractive index with increasing Tantalum concentration is observed. Recently, a heuristic evaluation allowed to postulate the “𝑅2𝐷2\r\n” equivalent-circuit model (consisting of two parallel resistor-diode pairs) to appropriately match the dc current-voltage (I-V) characteristics. Here, we carefully revisit the interfacial electrical behavior, i.e., the diode part of the equivalent circuit model, since many more processes beyond the diode-related electron hopping transport (HT) assumed so far, may concurrently occur, such as thermionic emission (TE), Fowler-Nordheim tunneling (FNT), space-charge limited conduction (SCLC), and others. The “𝑅2𝐷2\r\n” model thus needs to be generalized into an “𝑅2𝑋2\r\n” circuit model (with 𝑋\r\n= HT, TE, FNT, SCLC, and others) to fit to the experimental data. Moreover, to check for the best I-V curve fitting to the different theories, we apply a higher-harmonic DW current-contribution analysis, i.e., an ac I-V inspection, that allows us to discriminate between all these possible models with much higher precision than from pure dc I-V curve fitting. This has given rise to the concept of Social XAI. However, ontological modelling of the Social XAI framework remains limited. In particular, there is a lack of models that capture the progressivity of explanation processes in terms of the changes that occur. This paper introduces the Social XAI Ontology, a BFO-based reference ontology. The ontology models a variety of entities involved in the process of explanation. First, it provides a model of the participants in explanatory dialogues, such as artificial explainers and human explainees, and the roles they may take. Then, it introduces a rich set of explanatory moves that explainers and explainees perform. The paper further presents ontological accounts of four types of context that are central to real-world Social XAI projects. Furthermore, it provides an ontological account of different dimensions of adaptivity, which is considered to be an essential prerequisite for realizing Social XAI systems. Finally, the paper revisits two existing models of understanding in Social XAI by applying a recent theory of change. Conventional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems rely on numerous air outlet temperature sensors, which add significant costs at scale. This study introduces a hybrid virtual sensor concept that combines physics-based mathematical modeling with data-driven methods to address this challenge. A detailed physical model predicts air outlet temperatures, while neural networks capture unmodeled heat exchanges and environmental disturbances. Two hybrid strategies are explored: one augments the physical model with a neural network to learn residual heat flows, and the other employs an adiabatic physical model enhanced by a neural network that maps the total environmental heat exchange, supported by a disturbance observer for accurate heat flow estimation. However, the TRIP effect during flow forming is significantly affected by disturbances and especially batch fluctuations leading to process uncertainty. This aspect is further analyzed and quantified in this paper to give insights on how to minimize the impact of uncertainty. For this purpose, semifinished parts and resulting flow forming workpieces are systemically characterized concerning their properties and the property uncertainty supported by mathematical methods like correlation analysis and error propagation. A result is that the most influencing impact factor on the strain induced α’-martensite volume fraction as a material property are batch fluctuations, specifically the variations of the chemical composition. Those especially appear from batch to batch, but also within a batch accompanied by e.g. temperature effects. To counter this challenge, different methods from control theory like closed-loop property control and adaptive control can be applied to flow forming. This paper analyses temperature-specific waste heat potentials in automotive factories, distinguishing between vehicle assembly and component production. Waste heat sources are classified according to their integration feasibility, differentiating between directly usable heat and lower-temperature heat requiring upgrading via heat pumps. Using real-world operational data from eight automotive factories, waste heat potentials are quantified relative to site-specific heat demand. The results show that vehicle assembly factories exhibit relatively homogeneous shares of directly usable waste heat, while indirectly usable potentials vary strongly across sites, particularly in component manufacturing. To capture temporal utilisation constraints, a time-resolved case study is conducted for one vehicle assembly factory, combining hourly waste heat availability, internal heat demand and the load of an external district heating network. The dynamic analysis indicates that a substantial share of available waste heat can be utilised internally over the year, including periods of full internal heat coverage, while only limited surpluses remain available for external use. This paper\r\ninvestigates whether such vulnerabilities can be exploited to construct adversarial attacks against LLMs. Using\r\na DeepSeek-V4-Flash model, we automatically rephrase an input prompt using sycophancy, framing, and/or\r\nnegations to leave it semantically unchanged but elicit a contradicting output of a victim LLM, in this case a\r\nLlama-3.1-8B-Instruct model. On 49 controversial topics, we show that negation attacks can flip the model’s\r\noriginal stance in roughly 80% of cases, whereas sycophancy and framing yield moderate success rates around\r\n25% and 40%, respectively. The attacker LLM was also quite accurate in determining attack success (91.3%\r\naccuracy compared to annotations of two independent human annotators).
