In this paper information obtained from a microscopic traffic estimation using various data sources is used to feed a new developed traffic control approach. The presented method can control a traffic area with multiple traffic light systems (TLS) reacting to individual road users and pedestrians. In contrast to widespread green time extension techniques, this control selects the best phase sequence by analyzing the current traffic state reconstructed in SUMO and its predicted progress. To achieve this, the key aspect of the control strategy is to use Model Predictive Control (MPC). In order to maintain realism for real world applications, among other things, the traffic phase transitions are modelled in detail and integrated within the prediction. For the efficiency, the approach incorporates a fuzzy logic preselection of all phases reducing the computational effort. The evaluation itself is able to be easily adjusted to focus on various objectives like low occupancies, reducing waiting times and emissions, few number of phase transitions etc. determining the best switching times for the selected phases. One particular challenge is the additional weight added to the vehicle by the battery, which stands in direct contrast to the existing customer expectation of a high driving range. The reduction of the total vehicle weight is driven by the extensive use of ultra-high-strength steels in thin sheet thicknesses in car body construction. Resistance spot welding is the dominant joining process in steel-intensive lightweight construction due to its high degree of automation, process reliability and the associated economic efficiency.\r\nIn order to comply limitations of the space in the vehicle body and to ensure the most efficient use of materials in lightweight construction, joints are used that connect several sheets with a single spot weld. This leads to new challenges for the prediction of the load-bearing capacity and failure behaviour under crash loading.  \r\nThis paper presents a systematic characterisation of 3 sheet steel joints in order to find formulary, empirical relationships between the load-bearing capacity of the joint and the affecting parameters.\r\nNumerical simulations are carried out in order to clarify the causes of occurring phenomena in experiments. For this purpose, influencing variables such as joint strength, joint arrangement, sheet thickness, sheet strength, load type and load case on the load bearing capacity and failure behaviour are identified.\r\nFurthermore, the extent to which the behaviour of 2-sheet joints can be transferred to 3-sheet joints is investigated. A formulary correlation enables a quick and inexpensive estimates of the load-bearing capacity of 3-sheet metal connections. In contrast to conventional semiconductor lasers their temporal properties are not limited by the intensity dynamics, but are governed primarily by the interaction of the spin dynamics with the birefringent mode splitting that determines the polarization oscillation frequency. Another class of modern semiconductor lasers are high‐<jats:italic>β</jats:italic> emitters, which benefit from enhanced light–matter interaction due to strong mode confinement in low‐mode‐volume microcavities. In such structures, the emission properties can be tailored by the resonator geometry to realize for instance bimodal emission behavior in slightly elliptical micropillar cavities. This attractive feature is utilized to demonstrate and explore spin‐lasing effects in bimodal high‐<jats:italic>β</jats:italic> quantum dot micropillar lasers. The studied microlasers with a <jats:italic>β</jats:italic>‐factor of 4% show spin‐laser effects with experimental polarization oscillation frequencies up to 15 GHz and predicted frequencies up to about 100 GHz, which are controlled by the ellipticity of the resonator. A new approach is the use of high nitrogen steel as rivet material, which allows to omit the usually necessary heat treatment and coating and thus leads to a shortening of the process chain. Due to the high strain hardening, however, high tool loads must be expected. Thus, appropriate forming strategies are needed. Within this contribution, the influence of applying different temperatures for each forming stage in a two-stage rivet forming process using the high nitrogen steel 1.3815 is investigated. The findings provide a basic understanding of the influence of the temperature management when forming high nitrogen steel. For this purpose, the rivets are not formed at the same temperature in each stage, but an elevated temperature is applied selectively. Different process routes are investigated. First, cups are manufactured in stage 1 at room temperature, followed by stage 2 at 200°C. Second, cups are formed in stage 1 at 200°C and used for stage 2 at room temperature. By comparing the findings with results when applying the same temperature in both stages, it is shown that the temperature during the first forming operation has an effect on the forming behaviour during the second forming stage. The required forming forces and the resulting rivet hardness can be influenced by process-adapted temperature application. Furthermore, the causes for the temperature impact on the residual cup thickness in stage 1 are evaluated by a cause and effect analysis, which provides a deeper process understanding. At the same time, the human interacting with the agent will also seek feedback, in order to ensure that her communicative acts have the intended consequences. In this review article, we give an overview of past and current research on how intelligent agents should be able to both give meaningful feedback toward humans, as well as understanding feedback given by the users. The review covers feedback across different modalities (e.g., speech, head gestures, gaze, and facial expression), different forms of feedback (e.g., backchannels, clarification requests), and models for allowing the agent to assess the user's level of understanding and adapt its behavior accordingly. We find three principal configurations of hole polarons: (i) self-trapped holes localized at displaced regular oxygen atoms and (ii) two other configurations bound to a lithium vacancy either at a threefold coordinated oxygen atom above or at a two-fold coordinated oxygen atom below the defect. The latter is the most stable and is in excellent quantitative agreement with measured g factors from electron paramagnetic resonance. Due to the absence of mid-gap states, none of these hole polarons can explain the broad optical absorption centered between 2.5 and 2.8 eV that is observed in transient absorption spectroscopy, but such states appear if a free electron polaron is trapped at the same lithium vacancy as the bound hole polaron, resulting in an exciton polaron. The dielectric function calculated by solving the Bethe–Salpeter equation indeed yields an optical peak at 2.6 eV in agreement with the two-photon experiments. Vor allem werden als Beispiele die Auseinandersetzung ʿAbd al-Ǧabbārs mit den verschiedenen Rechtsquellen und deren Aspekte systematisch-rechtlich dargestellt und die Frage nach der Zentralität des Menschen, dessen Vernunft und Wohl fokussiert. Dafür bedient sich der Beitrag der uṣūlitischen Werke und Beiträge ʿAbd al-Ǧabbārs, in denen dieser eine besondere, von seinem kalām-Ansatz stark geprägte Methodologie verfolgt. Mit seinen uṣūl-Werken konstruierte der šāfiʿitische Muʿtazilit ʿAbd al-Ǧabbār, Systematiker der muʿtazilitischen Dogmenlehre, eine rechtsphilosophische, rational geprägte Theorie und gilt damit als eine der bedeutendsten ›Stationen‹ auf dem Weg der Methodologie der Theolog:innen sowie des Verhältnisses zwischen der kalām-Lehre und den uṣūl al-fiqh. Bei seiner Beschäftigung mit den verschiedenen Rechtsquellen des islamischen Rechts führt er drei Voraussetzungen für ihre gesetzgebende Funktion an. In Übereinstimmung mit Modellen zur professionellen Handlungskompetenz von Lehrkräften wird hierbei meist angenommen, dass das im Studienverlauf erworbene Professionswissen eine wesentliche Grundlage für den Aufbau von Fähigkeiten zur Unterrichtsplanung bildet. Lerngelegenheiten zur Anwendung dieses Professionswissens bieten vor allem schulpraktische Phasen im fortgeschrittenen Studienverlauf. Es wird aber ebenso angenommen, dass gerade Erfahrungen mit der Unterrichtsplanung den Aufbau von Professionswissen unterstützen. Der Zusammenhang zwischen dem Ausmaß des Professionswissens und der Entwicklung von Planungsfähigkeit ist bisher unzureichend empirisch geklärt. Eine besondere methodische Herausforderung besteht darin, Planungsfähigkeiten sowohl möglichst authentisch als auch auf standardisierte Weise zu erfassen. Zur Untersuchung des genannten Zusammenhangs wurde eine längsschnittliche Studie im Prä-Post-Design bei angehenden Physiklehrkräften (<jats:italic>N</jats:italic> = 68 im Längsschnitt) an vier Universitäten durchgeführt. Die Unterrichtsplanungsfähigkeit wurde mit Hilfe eines standardisierten Performanztests vor und nach dem Absolvieren eines Praxissemesters erfasst, indem als Standardsituation der Entwurf einer Unterrichtsstunde zum 3. Newton’schen Axiom unter definierten Zeitvorgaben im Praxissemester simuliert wurde. In Übereinstimmung mit Modellen zur professionellen Handlungskompetenz von Lehrkräften wird hierbei meist angenommen, dass das im Studienverlauf erworbene Professionswissen eine wesentliche Grundlage für den Aufbau von Fähigkeiten zur Unterrichtsplanung bildet. Lerngelegenheiten zur Anwendung dieses Professionswissens bieten vor allem schulpraktische Phasen im fortgeschrittenen Studienverlauf. Es wird aber ebenso angenommen, dass gerade Erfahrungen mit der Unterrichtsplanung den Aufbau von Professionswissen unterstützen. Der Zusammenhang zwischen dem Ausmaß des Professionswissens und der Entwicklung von Planungsfähigkeit ist bisher unzureichend empirisch geklärt. Eine besondere methodische Herausforderung besteht darin, Planungsfähigkeiten sowohl möglichst authentisch als auch auf standardisierte Weise zu erfassen. Zur Untersuchung des genannten Zusammenhangs wurde eine längsschnittliche Studie im Prä-Post-Design bei angehenden Physiklehrkräften (<jats:italic>N</jats:italic> = 68 im Längsschnitt) an vier Universitäten durchgeführt. Die Unterrichtsplanungsfähigkeit wurde mit Hilfe eines standardisierten Performanztests vor und nach dem Absolvieren eines Praxissemesters erfasst, indem als Standardsituation der Entwurf einer Unterrichtsstunde zum 3. Newton’schen Axiom unter definierten Zeitvorgaben im Praxissemester simuliert wurde. Zusätzlich wurden das fachliche, fachdidaktische und pädagogische Wissen der Studierenden mit Hilfe standardisierter Instrumente zu beiden Zeitpunkten erhoben, sowie die einschlägigen Lerngelegenheiten im Praxissemester über einen Fragebogen erfasst. Sowohl für Unterrichtsplanungsfähigkeit als auch für alle Wissensvariablen können Zuwächse im Praxissemester beobachtet werden. Die freie Bereitstellung wirksamer Unterrichtskonzeptionen zur Unterstützung des Selbststudiums von Lehrkräften bildet eine Strategie für eine flächendeckende Implementierung fachdidaktischer Innovationen. Allerdings etablieren sich zahlreiche, empirisch erfolgreich evaluierte Unterrichtskonzeptionen nicht nachhaltig an Schulen. Daher untersucht das vorliegende Forschungsvorhaben den Implementationsprozess solcher Materialien unter authentischen Bedingungen. Dazu wurde kriteriengeleitet eine evidenzbasierte, fachdidaktisch innovative Unterrichtskonzeption ausgewählt: das Münchener Unterrichtskonzept zur Quantenmechanik (MILQ). Diese wurde den teilnehmenden Lehrkräften fakultativ zur Verfügung gestellt. Mittels Fallstudien wurde die Implementierung von MILQ von elf Lehrkräften durch halbstandardisierte Interviews zu Beginn und am Ende einer Unterrichtsreihe zur Quantenmechanik sowie zwei Unterrichtsbeobachtungen mit je einem anschließenden <jats:italic>stimulated recall </jats:italic>explorativ erfasst. Die Probanden setzten sich überwiegend heuristisch mit MILQ auseinander und implementierten vor allem Elemente auf Sichtstrukturebene im Unterricht, die konform zu ihren bisherigen Vorstellungen waren. Dadurch wurde das fachdidaktische Innovationspotential nicht ausgeschöpft. Optimising the performance of electrocatalysts requires atomic-scale information, but it is difficult to obtain. Here, we use atom probe tomography to elucidate the 3D structure of 10 nm sized Co2FeO4 and CoFe2O4 nanoparticles during oxygen evolution reaction (OER). We reveal nanoscale spinodal decomposition in pristine Co2FeO4. The interfaces of Co-rich and Fe-rich nanodomains of Co2FeO4 become trapping sites for hydroxyl groups, contributing to a higher OER activity compared to that of CoFe2O4. However, the activity of Co2FeO4 drops considerably due to concurrent irreversible transformation towards CoIVO2 and pronounced Fe dissolution. In contrast, there is negligible elemental redistribution for CoFe2O4 after OER, except for surface structural transformation towards (FeIII, CoIII)2O3.
