Established methods like Scenario-Technique or roadmapping consider expertise of strategic decision-makers and central decision-making bodies by, for instance, workshops and interviews. There is no overarching approach for evaluating the variety of operational data sources and feed them into specific data processing pipelines targeting strategic decision support. Based on a systematic literature analysis and comprehensive industrial experience, requirements are derived. These requirements are used to develop a method to identify, classify and evaluate data for strategic decision-making. The method is validated in an industrial project. Simulations help to make these effects more tangible. Until now, the use of simulation in strategic product planning has been limited to behavioral and innovation diffusion studies. This paper presents a process model for widening business models or planning upcoming product generations. It supports integrating the simulation of technical systems into decisionmaking processes to select the most suitable product for adaptation to new application scenarios. To this end, the characteristics of such new application scenarios are applied to existing product models in simulation, and the system behavior is evaluated based on key figures. This supports the comparison of different products and the selection of the product alternative requiring the least amount of modification. The process model enables decision-makers to systematically integrate simulation into the decision-making process and thus make more data-based decisions. The materials were characterized using X-ray diffraction, N2 physisorption, thermogravimetric analysis, infrared spectroscopy, as well as 29Si and 13C solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Trimethylsilylation leads to a reduction of the pore diameter (determined using density functional theory) from 3.8 to 3.6 nm. Using proton solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) under magic-angle spinning, it was found that the filling of these narrow pores with increasing amounts of water follows an axial mode, independent of surface hydrophilicity. Using service-dominant logic (SDL) as a theoretical lens, we review the distinctive properties of these concepts, introduce the agent concept into SDL, and analyze GenAI’s precise role in service exchange processes. We employ a two-phase research approach: First, we conduct a systematic literature review to derive defining properties of resources, actors, beneficiaries, and agents. We then assess eight contemporary GenAI systems against these properties. Our evidence indicates that GenAI is best understood as an operant resource and, depending on design and context, as an actor and agent. Conversely, GenAI does not qualify as a beneficiary, as it is neither individually capable of phenomenologically experiencing and determining value nor a social system of individuals with such capacities. Building on a rich research portfolio that spans from early workflow automation to robotic process automation (RPA), large language models (LLMs) are the most recent disruptive technologies to influence all BPM capability areas. Particularly, these technologies fuel the emerging research fields of AI-enhanced business process management systems and autonomous process execution. In a design science research approach, we develop a modular LLM agent architecture that effectively enables the adaptation and execution of business processes. The architecture integrates a Frame Agent that can generate process descriptions and an Operational Agent that autonomously executes processes based on the Frame Agent’s process descriptions. It further enables a future Tactical Agent for autonomous process adaptations. We demonstrate the architecture’s applicability and utility with the real-world case of a meter-to-cash process, comparing it to the performance of an RPA bot. Our findings provide early insights into the challenges faced by autonomous process execution and its relation with RPA in terms of adaptability, flexibility, and complexity in autonomous process execution. Coopetition, i.e., simultaneous cooperation and competition, is an\r\nimportant dynamic within data ecosystems that must be understood and managed well to leverage the\r\nnon-rivalrous nature of data. A systematic literature review of 38 peer-reviewed studies on ecosystems\r\nand coopetition was conducted to clarify how coopetition affects data ecosystems. Using qualitative\r\ncontent analysis, the study summarizes how coopetition is calibrated, what results it produces, and what\r\nchallenges are associated with it. The resulting Data Ecosystem Coopetition (DECo) model specifies\r\nfour management levers, as well as the associated outcomes and common challenges. In addition, six\r\ncycles were identified that link levers, challenges, and outcomes. Data trustees have been proposed as intermediaries to facilitate data sharing, but their specific role in supporting SME onboarding has not been systematically explored. Here we present a reference process for SME data space onboarding and derive four design principles, structured along the TELO framework, describing how data trustees can address these barriers. Our findings reveal that SMEs require comprehensive support throughout the onboarding journey, with particular emphasis on business case development. This study examines the influence of punch velocity on the clinching and semi-tubular self-piercing riveting processes, as well as on the binding mechanisms, joint's geometric parameters, and joint properties. The aim is to determine the relevant range of punch velocities based on material properties, such as strain rate dependence, and to assess whether punch velocity can be utilized as a control variable for versatile joining processes. To this aim, similar joints made of steel (HCT590X+Z), aluminum (EN AW-6014), and mixed joints of these materials are examined. The resulting joining forces are analyzed using force-displacement curves to evaluate the influence on the joining process. The form closure is examined using micrographs of the joints' geometric parameters. The title compounds can be synthesized on a milligram scale under hydrothermal conditions, while gram-scale synthesis was realized under reflux conditions. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD) revealed an isoreticular, expanded MIL-91 type structure, representing a rare case of isoreticular expansion in porous metal phosphonates. The framework structure was confirmed by Rietveld refinement against powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) data and further validated by solid-state NMR spectroscopy (31P MAS, 27Al 3Q MAS). Solvent-exchange experiments and variable-humidity/temperature PXRD data revealed high framework flexibility. In gas sensing, optical sensors are often used to detect gases such as CO, NOx, and O2. Oxygen sensors typically incorporate dyes into oxygen-permeable matrices like polymers, silica, or zeolites. Alternatively, semiconductor surface chemistry can enable O2 detection. However, these approaches are often limited by slow response and recovery times and low selectivity, restricting their practical applications. The metal-organic framework MOF-76(Eu) and its yttrium-modified variant, MOF-76(Eu/Y) are reported to exhibit highly reversible and fast optical responses to varying O2 concentrations. Time-resolved emission measurements are performed over short (seconds) and long (hours) timescales using N2 and synthetic air mixtures. Cross-sensitivity to humidity is analyzed. Multichannel scaling photon-counting experiments confirm quenching at the linker level, as the emission lifetime remains nearly constant. Yttrium significantly improves stability and performance at room temperature. Structural and optical changes induced by yttrium are investigated. Additionally, MIL-78(Eu), another Eu-BTC-based MOF with a different coordination environment, is synthesized. Unlike MOF-76(Eu), MIL-78(Eu) exhibits distinct optical properties but lacks a reversible response to O2. However, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) often face challenges in realizing these benefits due to insufficient employee competencies across all domains. As a prerequisite, a clear understanding of competency gaps that hinder employees to use relevant key technologies such as artificial intelligence and data analytics is needed. This paper presents competency profiles that define relevant competencies for the use of simulation-based Predictive Maintenance and map these competencies to relevant roles that need them. The study is based on a systematic literature review about competencies for digitalization processes in industry focusing on maintenance and, more specifically, data technologies in maintenance. The competency profile is validated through a Delphi-Study with industry representatives assessing the identified competency levels. The intention of reassembling products and their part simplies that inspection and sorting need to be integrated with value-conserving objectives. Further, disassembly and reassembly require higher competence levels of workforce than assembly. To provide the required information during engineering, a metadata model (MDM) is required that links established product models to capability models. Since processes to be carried out for realizing a product largely determine required employees’ capabilities, the proposed approach uses the ADR process domain to connect product and capability domains. The research is based on a systematic literature analysis to identify existing approaches regarding MDMs of ADR processes. Based on the results, an integrative MDM is developed that answers defined competence questions. The model enables queries which support engineers by feedback on which skills are required for a product. These needs are—according to Ainscow’s (2007) inclusive turn—not primarily ‘special educational needs’, but diverse needs of all learners. For the rather segregated German educational system, this endeavour applies especially to primary education, where needs are still developing and pupils are not yet assigned to different types of schooling according to their needs and abilities.\r\n\r\nDespite a substantial amount of research on pupils’ basic psychological needs for autonomy, competence and social relatedness (Ryan et al., 2022), strategies that technology education teachers apply in this regard are not yet well understood. Besides interventional studies on technology education, indicating effectiveness of self‑directed and action‑oriented teaching and learning, there is a dearth of research on how teachers address different needs as a routine.\r\n\r\nThe purpose of the presented study is therefore to investigate and systematize actions and strategies teachers apply, and to specify how pupils' needs are considered when teaching technology education on a given topic.\r\n\r\nThe overall study used a mixed-methods approach to the question how pupils’ needs are characterized by themselves and by their teachers, and how they were taken into account in a lesson adapted and delivered by the teachers.
