Engineers in strategic product planning need to proactively predict the quantity, quality, and timing of secondary materials and returned components. For example, products with high recycled content will only be economically sustainable if the material is actually available in the future product life. Our assumption is that Information Circularity Assistance enables decision makers to incorporate insights from extreme data – high-volume, high-velocity, heterogeneous and distributed data from the product life – into product creation through intelligent Digital Twins. Artificial Intelligence can help to derive sustainable actions in favor of circular products by processing extreme data and enriching it with expert knowledge. The research contributes in three key dimensions. First, a comprehensive literature review is conducted. This review covers concepts of intelligence in Scenario-Technique for strategic product planning, Digital Twin-based analysis of extreme data and relevant technologies from Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. In all areas, the state of the art and emerging trends are identified. Secondly, the study identifies information needs along the steps of the Scenario-Technique and information offerings based on Digital Twins. The concept of Information Circularity Assistance results from the coupling of these demands and offerings, extending the Scenario-Technique beyond traditional expert-based methods. Third, we extend existing Digital Twin methods used in circularity and discuss the deployment of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence algorithms within the product creation process. Our approach uses extreme data to provide a strategic advantage in optimizing product life cycle planning, which is illustrated by two sample applications. First, it explicates the story, initially portrayed by Eckart Förster, that philosophy allegedly started with publishing of Kant’s CPR and ended a quarter century later when Hegel’s Phenomenology of Mind appeared. We address the questions in what sense this happened and how is this development to be interpreted? Secondly, we demonstrate that similar radical transition from new, “true” beginning of philosophy to its apparent finishing took place in two other, high profile occasions in the history of Western philosophy, in two key points of its development: in the years 390-365 bc, between the early and the late Plato, and between 1898 and 1922, between Russell and Wittgenstein’s Tractatus. These three short-lived, spectacular transitions from philosophy’s alleged start to its alleged ultimate accomplishment give us good reason to speak about a specific 25-years principle in philosophy. In particular, the car body offers several opportunities for weight reduction. Multi-material designs are increasingly being applied to select the most suitable material for the respective load and ultimately achieve synergy effects. For example, aluminium castings are used at the nodes of a spaceframe body. Subsequently, these are joined with profiles to form the bodyshell. To join different materials mechanical joining techniques, such as semi-tubular self-piercing riveting, are deployed. According to the current state of the art, cracks occur in the aluminium castings during the mechanical joining process as a result of the high degree of deformation. Although the aluminium casting alloys of the AlSi-system exhibit low ductility, these alloys reveal excellent castability. In particular, the ability to cast thin structural parts is enabled by the low liquidus point of the near eutectic aluminium casting alloys.\r\nThis study addresses the mechanical joining properties of the near eutectic aluminium casting alloy AlSi12, depending on different microstructures. These are achieved by annealing processes and modifying agents. Through an adapted heat treatment, the previously lamellar morphology can be transformed into a globular morphology, which leads to increased ductility and prevents the formation of cracks during the self-piercing riveting (SPR). The joinability is investigated using different die geometries, whereas the joint formation is analysed regarding crack initiation. E. Moore, C. D. Broad, and J. E. McTaggart. He received his BA in 1924, after which he worked for five years at the National Institute of Industrial Psychology. From 1929 to 1934, Wisdom was a Lecturer in the department of logic and metaphysics at the University of St Andrews and a colleague of G. F. Stout. After the publication of his book Interpretation and Analysis (1931) and five articles on “Logical Constructions” in Mind (1931–3), Wisdom became a Lecturer in Moral Sciences in Cambridge and a Fellow of Trinity College. This gave him the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of Wittgenstein’s philosophy. Since nothing by Wittgenstein but Tractatus appeared in print for decades, Wisdom’s publications of these years were—mistakenly—read as portents of the new ideas of Wittgenstein himself. The publication of Wittgenstein’s Philosophical Investigations in 1953 brought with it, among other things, the fall of Wisdom’s popularity. The paper was unusually critical of Wittgenstein. It put the Cambridge analytic philosophy of Moore and Russell in a sharp opposition to the positivist philosophy of the Vienna Circle, in which Stebbing included Wittgenstein. Whereas the positivists were interested in analysing language, the Cambridge realists were analysing facts. To be more explicit, the analytic philosophers were engaged in directional analysis, which seeks to illuminate (to elucidate) the multiplicity of the analysed facts. In contrast, positivists aimed at a final analysis that proves that there are simples. Stebbing’s sympathies were clearly on the side of the Cambridge realists. This requires knowledge of the frictional power distribution in the tire contact patch, which is the basis for calculating tire wear using a wear law. Usually, only 3D structural tire models can generate such distributed contact results. However, they involve high computational costs and cannot be used for comprehensive optimization of a vehicle’s suspension system with respect to tire wear characteristics. Hence, this contribution presents a methodology on how to accelerate the prediction of the frictional power distribution using two components: The structural tire model is replaced by an empirical tire model that on its own is not able to generate distributed contact results. Therefore, an artificial neural network is trained to predict the desired contact results from the kinematic quantities calculated by the empirical tire model. In the initial training phase, both components are fitted to data generated by the original complex tire model. After training, the empirical tire model can replace the structural tire model in vehicle simulations, resulting in significantly shorter calculation times. The simulation results are fed into the artificial neural network, which predicts the frictional power distributions over the tire width with negligible additional effort. Dazu werden 101 schriftliche Reflexionen von Studierenden aus drei bildungswissenschaftlichen Hochschulseminaren aus dem Wintersemester 2022/2023 und dem Sommersemester 2023 anhand der Text-Sortier-Technik ausgewertet. Die Evaluationsergebnisse verdeutlichen die studentischen Lernaktivitäten in den Kompetenzbereichen Werte, Einstellungen und Fähigkeiten für eine demokratische Kultur. Zudem wurden die Kenntnisse der Studierenden zur methodischen Gestaltung von demokratischen Aushandlungsprozessen im Unterrichts- und Schulkontext erweitert. Eine zuverlässige Signal- und Leistungsübertragung erfor-dert minimale Übergangswiderstände an den elektrischen Anschlusspunkten des Massebolzensystems und muss ver-schiedenen Betriebs- und Umweltbedingungen über die gesamte Lebensdauer standhalten. Der Übergangswiderstand wird von mehreren Faktoren beeinflusst (z. B. Verbindungsgeometrie, Kontaktkraft, Temperatur, Werkstoff) und erhöht sich im Laufe der Betriebszeit infolge unterschiedlicher Alterungsmechanismen. Dieser Beitrag befasst sich mit der elektrischen Charakterisierung von Massebolzen aus AlMg5 mit einer ZnNi-beschichteten Stahl-Hutmutter auf einem AlMg3-Blech. Es werden ausgewählte fertigungs-, montage- und betriebsbedingte Einflussgrößen auf den elektrischen Verbindungs-widerstand analysiert. Als wirtschaftliche und etablierte Fügetechnologie kommt das Lichtbogenbolzenschweißen mit Hubzündung zum Einsatz. Zur Herstellung qualitativ hochwertiger Schweißverbindungen wird mittels einer statistischen Versuchsplanung ein geeigneter Referenzparametersatz ermittelt. Weiterhin wird der montagebedingte Einfluss anhand des Mutter-Anziehmoments bei der Kabelschuhmontage auf den elektrischen Verbindungswiderstand untersucht. To simplify, one can speak of synthesizing positions \r\nof merging discourses on the one hand and difference-based positions of heterogeneous \r\ndiscourses on the other. The latter position, which goes far beyond intra- and extradiscursive conflicts that can ultimately be resolved, can be related to Jean-Francois Lyotard‘s \r\nreflections on the incommensurability of discourses: Starting from an understanding that \r\nevery discourse has certain inner-discursive rules and that when heterogeneous discourses \r\nmeet, these rules come into conflict, questions arise about the possibilities and limits of \r\nhow different discourses deal with each other and their potential incommensurability. The \r\nchallenges of the encounters between heterogeneous discourses can be comprehensively \r\nand productively examined during the ‚Third Reich‘ and in relation to the genre of resistance ‚Tarnschrift‘. In these camouflage writings, heterogeneous discourses collide in a confined textual space, as the camouflage text corresponded to the rules of the prevailing Nazi \r\ndiscourse and the camouflaged text embedded in it corresponds to the rules of resistance \r\ndiscourses. Lightweight design is one of the central topics of the automotive industry since reducing mass can save emissions over the entire life cycle of a component. Nowadays, vehicle structures usually consist of a multi-material design, which poses the additional challenge of joining these different materials. Mechanical joining is the most common way of joining different types of materials. Cast aluminium alloys of the AlSi system have a low ductility, which causes cracks during the mechanical joining process in the joint. One research approach is to achieve a fine microstructure by influencing the solidification rate since this results in increased mechanical properties, specifically the elongation at fracture and yield strength. A very fine microstructure can be achieved by utilizing Twin-roll casting (TRC) which is a continuous casting process in which high solidification rates of more than 100 K/s occur. In this study, the hypoeutectic cast aluminium alloy AlSi9 is processed in the TRC process using copper rollers. The cast strips are investigated regarding the microstructure-property correlation. A variation of the roller materials and cooling conditions allows for an increase in the solidification rate, whereby a defined, fine microstructure can be achieved, which enhances the mechanical properties of the hypoeutectic aluminium casting alloys.</jats:p>","lang":"eng"}],"publication":"Materials Research Proceedings","type":"conference"}]
