","lang":"eng"}],"date_created":"2023-01-13T10:24:31Z","type":"journal_article","keyword":["Developmental and Educational Psychology"],"department":[{"_id":"43"},{"_id":"298"}],"status":"public","page":"167-179","publisher":"Hogrefe Publishing Group","_id":"36568","user_id":"59797","volume":36,"citation":{"mla":"Kirsch, Alexander. <i>Zeitschrift für Pädagogische Psychologie</i>, vol. Thus, instructions should be presented in a way that enables fast and errorless information processing. High affordances in visual–spatial transformation (e.g., mental rotation processes) might both impede information processing and decrease execution performance. The aim of this study was to scrutinize the effect of different orientations of visual tactical displays on observation time under self-paced conditions as well as to compare the effects on execution performance to those of externally paced conditions. According to the self-determination theory, self-control over observation time is assumed to increase performance.
Methods
In a mixed-factors design with two factors, 48 participants were instructed to execute a basketball playing pattern, which was presented on a virtual tactic board in one of five different spatial disparities to the players’ on-court perspective. The Self-Paced Group determined the observation time in a self-controlled manner, whereas in the Yoked Group observation times were externally controlled, i.e., the observation time was constrained to match that of the Self-Paced Group..
Results
The self-controlled time for watching the pattern before execution was significantly shorter and spatial accuracy in pattern execution was significantly higher for low disparity between instruction perspective and on-court perspective. Reaction times and response errors were analysed in two three-way ANOVAs, with the factors orientation, task, and posture.&#x0D;\r\nRESULTS: Results revealed an effect of orientation and task, indicating that participants performed better for egocentric than for object-based transformations. However, there was no effect of posture.&#x0D;\r\nCONCLUSION: The different dynamics of postural control during sitting and standing do not induce different embodiment effects on mental rotation.
","lang":"eng"}],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"doi":"10.20338/bjmb.v14i2.165","title":"Mental body rotation with egocentric and object-based transformations in different postures: sitting vs. standing","year":"2020","publication_identifier":{"issn":["2446-4902","1980-5586"]},"author":[{"full_name":"Budde, Kirsten","first_name":"Kirsten","last_name":"Budde"},{"full_name":"Barela, José Angelo","first_name":"José Angelo","last_name":"Barela"},{"full_name":"Figueiredo, Gabriella Andreeta","first_name":"Gabriella Andreeta","last_name":"Figueiredo"},{"id":"36388","full_name":"Weigelt, Matthias","last_name":"Weigelt","first_name":"Matthias"}],"publication_status":"published","date_updated":"2023-01-23T13:30:20Z","intvolume":" 14"},{"quality_controlled":"1","citation":{"mla":"Memmert, Daniel, et al. “The Role of Different Directions of Attention on the Extent of Implicit Perception in Soccer Penalty Kicking.” <i>Human Movement Science</i>, vol. 70, 102586, Elsevier BV, 2020, doi:<a href=\"https://doi.org/10.1016/j.humov.2020.102586\">10.1016/j.humov.2020.102586</a>.","ama":"Memmert D, Noël B, Machlitt D, van der Kamp J, Weigelt M. For early education, increasingly, the setting of a kindergarten is targeted. However, when cHRI and research are brought into a kindergarten, a range of ethical and related procedural aspects have to be considered and dealt with. While ethical models elaborated within other human–robot interaction settings, e.g., assisted living contexts, can provide some important indicators for relevant issues, we argue that it is important to start developing a systematic approach to identify and tackle those ethical issues which rise with cHRI in kindergarten settings on a more global level and address the impact of the technology from a macroperspective beyond the effects on the individual. Based on our experience in conducting studies with children in general and pedagogical considerations on the role of the institution of kindergarten in specific, in this paper,we enfold some relevant aspects that have barely been addressed in an explicit way in current cHRI research. Four areas are analyzed and key ethical issues are identified in each area: (1) the institutional setting of a kindergarten, (2) children as a vulnerable group, (3) the caregivers’ role, and (4) pedagogical concepts. With our considerations, we aim at (i) broadening\r\nthe methodology of the current studies within the area of cHRI, (ii) revalidate it based on our comprehensive empirical\r\nexperience with research in kindergarten settings, both laboratory and real-world contexts, and (iii) provide a framework for the development of a more systematic approach to address the ethical issues in cHRI research within kindergarten settings."}],"publication":"International Journal of Social Robotics","user_id":"14931","ddc":["300"],"_id":"24458","page":"129-140","has_accepted_license":"1","status":"public","quality_controlled":"1","citation":{"chicago":"Tolksdorf, Nils F., Scarlet Siebert, Isabel Zorn, Ilona Horwath, and Katharina J. They can be obtained from a variety of different polymer precursors via electrospinning. While some methods have been tested for post-carbonization doping of nanofibers with the desired ingredients, very little is known about carbonization of blend nanofibers from two or more polymeric precursors. In this paper, we report on the preparation, thermal treatment and resulting properties of poly(acrylonitrile) (PAN)/poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) blend nanofibers produced by wire-based electrospinning of binary polymer solutions. Using a wide variety of spectroscopic, microscopic and thermal characterization methods, the chemical and morphological transition during oxidative stabilization (280 °C) and incipient carbonization (500 °C) was thoroughly investigated. Both PAN and PVDF precursor polymers were detected and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively during all stages of thermal treatment. Compared to pure PAN nanofibers, the blend nanofibers showed increased fiber diameters, strong reduction of undesired morphological changes during oxidative stabilization and increased conductivity after carbonization."}],"publication":"Nanomaterials","user_id":"23547","_id":"25901","status":"public","oa":"1","quality_controlled":"1","citation":{"ieee":"M. The hydrothermal stability of the material up to 60 °C at 93% relative humidity was verified by temperature-dependent XRD. Proton conductivity was studied by impedance spectroscopy, using a single crystal. By varying the relative humidity (70–95%), temperature (21–60 °C), and orientation of the crystal relative to the electrical potential, it was found that proton conduction occurs predominantly through the linear, unidirectional (1D) micropore channels of Co-MOF-74, and that water molecules inside the channels are responsible for the proton mobility by a Grotthuss-type mechanism."}],"publication":"Nanomaterials","type":"journal_article","department":[{"_id":"35"},{"_id":"2"},{"_id":"307"}],"date_created":"2021-10-08T10:33:26Z","date_updated":"2023-03-08T08:22:31Z","publication_status":"published","article_type":"original","year":"2020","title":"Humidity-Mediated Anisotropic Proton Conductivity through the 1D Channels of Co-MOF-74","publication_identifier":{"issn":["2079-4991"]},"author":[{"last_name":"Javed","first_name":"Ali","full_name":"Javed, Ali"},{"first_name":"Ina","last_name":"Strauss","full_name":"Strauss, Ina"},{"first_name":"Hana","last_name":"Bunzen","full_name":"Bunzen, Hana"},{"last_name":"Caro","first_name":"Jürgen","full_name":"Caro, Jürgen"},{"id":"23547","orcid":"0000-0003-1711-2722","last_name":"Tiemann","first_name":"Michael","full_name":"Tiemann, Michael"}],"doi":"10.3390/nano10071263","main_file_link":[{"url":"https://www.mdpi.com/2079-4991/10/7/1263/pdf?version=1594009427","open_access":"1"}],"article_number":"1263","language":[{"iso":"eng"}]}]
