Therefore, already used systems are retrofitted by \r\nintegrating sensors to monitor their performance and \r\nfunctionality, enabling accurate diagnosis of their condition and \r\nprediction of their remaining useful life. One of the main \r\nchallenges in this field is identified in the missing data from the \r\ntime where the retrofitted system has already run but without \r\nbeing monitored by sensors. In this paper, a novel approach for \r\nthe combined diagnostics and prognostics of retrofitted systems is \r\nproposed. The methodology aims to provide an accurate diagnosis \r\nof the system’s health state and estimation of the remaining useful \r\nlife by a combination of a machine learning and expert knowledge. \r\nTo evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology, a case \r\nstudy involving a retrofitted system in an industrial setting is \r\nselected and applied. It is demonstrated that the approach \r\neffectively diagnose the current system’s health state and \r\naccurately predict its remaining useful life, thereby enabling \r\npredictive maintenance and decision-making. It includes an experimental study in a pilot plant setup and a theoretical analysis with a rate‐based model. The model was validated against the measured column profiles of temperature and CO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> concentration in both liquid and gas phases. Model‐based parameter sensitivity studies revealed inherent challenges for an effective absorption process. A slow reaction rate and suboptimal chemical equilibrium conditions were identified as key limitations, restricting the absorption efficiency and CO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> loading capacity of the glucosamine solution. Zink-Zinn-Oxid zeigt eine sauerstoffabhängige Photolumineszenz im sichtbaren Spektralbereich und wird hier als eine photostabile Alternative zu den kommerziell verfügbaren metallorganischen Verbindungen vorgestellt. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf dem Einfluss der Temperatur auf die Sauerstoffsensitivität der Photolumineszenz. Zur Beantwortung wird ein erweiterter kognitiv-grammatischer Ansatz gewählt und ein selbsterstelltes Korpus aus 1.317 Fotos von Lebensmittelverpackungen mithilfe der Software MAXQDA analysiert. Das Analyseverfahren basiert auf einer innovativen Kombination aus musterorientierter Kollektionsanalyse und der Adaption grammatischer Proben. Die Untersuchung offenbart erstens, dass Markennamen wie 'Coca-Cola', 'nutella' etc. multimodale Konstruktionen mit konstitutiver Schriftbildlichkeit sein können, sofern deren Gestaltung kognitiv verankert und interindividuell konventionell ist. Zweitens wird für Warennamen wie 'GUT & GÜNSTIG Knäckebrot Sesam' etc. die Wirkung diagrammatischer Ikonizität erarbeitet, wonach die musterhafte schriftbildliche Gestaltung die Komposition der einzelnen Komponenten eines Warennamens vereindeutigt. Drittens werden Zusammensetzungen mit nicht-verbalen Prädikaten wie 'mit 11% Sesam', 'ohne Rosinen' etc. als multimodale Konstruktionen herausgearbeitet, bei denen die musterhafte gestalterische Verknüpfung das Verständnis ebenfalls maßgeblich beeinflusst. Unter sanfter Konditionierung wird in Anlehnung an Luhmann die politische Steuerung durch Akkreditierungskriterien verstanden, die als Vehikel genutzt werden, um gesellschaftlich aktuell diskutierte Themen in den Hochschulen zu platzieren. Der Beitrag rekonstruiert in einem ersten Schritt, wie und welche Diversity-Dimensionen in Akkreditierungskriterien abgebildet wurden. Hierzu wurden die Hochschulrahmengesetze, die ländergemeinsamen Strukturvorgaben der Kultusministerkonferenz, die Akkreditierungskriterien sowie Tätigkeitsberichte und Protokolle des Akkreditierungsrates mittels einer Dokumentenanalyse ausgewertet. Um die Konditionierung nachzuzeichnen, wurde in einem zweiten Schritt eine Topic-Modeling-Analyse von 828 Selbstdokumentationen der Hochschulen, 743 Gutachtenberichte und 560 Beschlussbriefen durchgeführt.</jats:p>","lang":"eng"}],"publication":"»Die Poesie der Reformen«. By this, we mean tasks that are situated by typical everyday challenges of mathematics teaching and in which PSTs must use their mathematical knowledge and skills in a professionally relevant way. In this paper, we analyze answers that PSTs have created to an interface task on symmetry. The PSTs were asked to clarify a student’s question from a mathematical perspective and then give a suitable elementarized answer. We situate these two steps theoretically and reconstruct the mathematical reasoning in PSTs' answers. Through qualitative content analysis, we examined how PSTs justify figures' symmetries from a university mathematics perspective and when responding to the fictitious student. The scenario of a student questioning the existence of 100° rotationally symmetrical figures elicited rich and varied responses, proving suitable for an interface task. We compared PSTs' reasoning related to mathematical clarification with the reasoning related to elementarization. In many cases, this revealed a productive use of course content. They are characterized by cascading effects with global and local interdependencies. Extreme data must be included as a basis for decision-making. The impact in emergency response depends on diverse, multidisciplinary competencies required to interpret information. Scenarios are used in various forms of preparation: in exercises, but also for the design of information systems and validation. Based on literature, this article brings together different types of scenarios and related work in the field of Model-Based Systems Engineering. Using an exemplary case relating to possible pluvial urban floods, the added value resulting from a focus on the impact of innovative solutions is discussed. Typically, simulations are used to consider a variety of potential extreme weather scenarios in preparedness phases. Due to required computing power, duration and high efforts in parameterizing such tools are hardly used within response situations. Enhanced simulation models and surrogate models based on machine learning technologies carry potentials to overcome\r\nthese challenges. An approach is presented that adopts simulation for the case of flooding events. It considers all phases from demand situation in command posts through advanced parameter space exploration to advanced visualization of simulation results in Augmented Reality. Initial evaluation results are presented, complemented by conclusions on incorporated technologies. The former is an adaptive mesh refinement on the macroscale, which allows to control the spatial discretization errors. The latter is an efficient combination of a numerically low cost nonuniform transformation field analysis (NTFA) and numerically high cost full‐field elasto‐plastic homogenization methods on the microscale. The present contribution deals with the application of the concept of downwind and upwind approximations to a goal‐oriented a posteriori error estimator based on duality techniques by means of reduced order homogenization schemes like NTFA, and with accuracy and numerical efficiency of the proposed goal‐oriented adaptive framework. NTFA consists of an offline phase and an online phase. During the offline phase, some relevant information of the micro system under consideration is precomputed allowing a reduced set of equations to be solved in the online phase. Thus, NTFA leads to a quite efficient homogenization method but less accurate compared to the full‐field homogenization method which is characterized with a high computational demand for accounting nonlinear microstructural mechanisms. Due to nonlinearities and time‐dependency of plasticity, the estimation of error transport and error generation are obtained with a backward‐in‐time dual method despite a high demand on memory capacity. In this contribution, the dual problem is solved with a forward‐in‐time dual method that allows estimating the full error during the resolution of the primal problem without the need for extra memory capacity.
