Nevertheless, performance parameters such as conversion efficiency, minimum pump power, and spectral bandwidth strongly depend on the quality of the domain structure in these PP-TFLN samples, e.g., their homogeneity and duty cycle, as well as on the overlap and penetration depth of domains with the waveguide mode. Hence, in order to propose improved fabrication protocols, a profound quality control of domain structures is needed that allows quantifying and thoroughly analyzing these parameters. In this paper, we propose to combine a set of nanometer-to-micrometer-scale imaging techniques, i.e., piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM), second-harmonic generation (SHG), and Raman spectroscopy (RS), to access the relevant and crucial sample properties through cross-correlating these methods. Based on our findings, we designate SHG to be the best-suited standard imaging technique for this purpose, in particular when investigating the domain poling process in x-cut TFLNs. While PFM is excellently recommended for near-surface high-resolution imaging, RS provides thorough insights into stress and/or defect distributions, as associated with these domain structures. In this context, our work here indicates unexpectedly large signs for internal fields occurring in x-cut PP-TFLNs that are substantially larger as compared to previous observations in bulk LN. article_number: '288' article_type: original author: - first_name: Sven full_name: Reitzig, Sven last_name: Reitzig - first_name: Michael full_name: Rüsing, Michael id: '22501' last_name: Rüsing orcid: 0000-0003-4682-4577 - first_name: Jie full_name: Zhao, Jie last_name: Zhao - first_name: Benjamin full_name: Kirbus, Benjamin last_name: Kirbus - first_name: Shayan full_name: Mookherjea, Shayan last_name: Mookherjea - first_name: Lukas M. full_name: Eng, Lukas M. last_name: Eng citation: ama: Reitzig S, Rüsing M, Zhao J, Kirbus B, Mookherjea S, Eng LM. “Seeing Is Believing”—In-Depth Analysis by Co-Imaging of Periodically-Poled X-Cut Lithium Niobate Thin Films. Comparably, the parental compound, i.e., undoped SBN, appears to be less studied so far. Here, two different cuts of single-crystalline nominally pure strontium barium niobate in the composition Sr0.61Ba0.39Nb2O6 (SBN61) are comprehensively studied and analyzed with regard to their photoconductive responses. We present conductance measurements under systematically varied illumination conditions along either the polar z-axis or perpendicular to it (x-cut). Apart from a pronounced photoconductance (PC) already under daylight and a large effect upon super-bandgap illumination in general, we observe (i) distinct spectral features when sweeping the excitation wavelength over the sub-bandgap region as then discussed in the context of deep and shallow trap states, (ii) extremely slow long-term relaxation for both light-on and light-off transients in the range of hours and days, (iii) a critical dependence of the photoresponse on the pre-illumination history of the sample, and (iv) a current–voltage hysteresis depending on both the illumination and the electrical-measurement conditions in a complex manner. article_number: '780' article_type: original author: - first_name: Elke full_name: Beyreuther, Elke last_name: Beyreuther - first_name: Julius full_name: Ratzenberger, Julius last_name: Ratzenberger - first_name: Matthias full_name: Roeper, Matthias last_name: Roeper - first_name: Benjamin full_name: Kirbus, Benjamin last_name: Kirbus - first_name: Michael full_name: Rüsing, Michael id: '22501' last_name: Rüsing orcid: 0000-0003-4682-4577 - first_name: Liudmila I. full_name: Ivleva, Liudmila I. last_name: Ivleva - first_name: Lukas M. full_name: Eng, Lukas M. last_name: Eng citation: ama: Beyreuther E, Ratzenberger J, Roeper M, et al. While LiSr3[Fe(CN)3] crystallizes in P63/m, the polar space group P63 with three-fold cell volume for AE3.5[M(CN)3] is confirmed by second harmonic generation. X-ray diffraction, IR and Raman spectroscopy reveal longer C−N distances (124–128 pm) and much lower stretching frequencies (1484–1634 cm−1) than in classical cyanidometalates. Weak C−N bonds in combination with strong M−C π-bonding is a scheme also known for carbonylmetalates. Here, we investigate the coherent interaction length lc of optical second-harmonic generation (SHG) microscopy in such samples, that are purposely prepared into a wedge shape, in order to elegantly tune the geometrical confinement from bulk thicknesses down to approximately 50 nm. SHG microscopy is a very powerful and non-invasive tool for the investigation of structural properties in the biological and solid-state sciences, especially for visualizing and analyzing ferroelectric domains and domain walls. However, unlike in bulk lithium niobate (LN), SHG microscopy in TFLN is impacted by interfacial reflections and resonant enhancement, both of which rely on film thickness and substrate material. In this paper, we show that the dominant SHG contribution measured on TFLN in backreflection is the co-propagating phase-matched SHG signal and not the counter-propagating SHG portion as is the case for bulk LN samples. Moreover, lc depends on the incident pump laser wavelength (sample dispersion) but also on the numerical aperture of the focussing objective in use. These experimental findings on x- and z-cut TFLN are excellently backed up by our advanced numerical simulations. article_type: original author: - first_name: Zeeshan H. full_name: Amber, Zeeshan H. last_name: Amber - first_name: Benjamin full_name: Kirbus, Benjamin last_name: Kirbus - first_name: Lukas M. full_name: Eng, Lukas M. last_name: Eng - first_name: Michael full_name: Rüsing, Michael id: '22501' last_name: Rüsing orcid: 0000-0003-4682-4577 citation: ama: Amber ZH, Kirbus B, Eng LM, Rüsing M. Magnetization measurements and neutron diffraction indicate antiferromagnetic coupling in the [Fe2O9] groups. author: - first_name: Ralf full_name: Albrecht, Ralf last_name: Albrecht - first_name: Markus full_name: Hoelzel, Markus last_name: Hoelzel - first_name: Henrik full_name: Beccard, Henrik last_name: Beccard - first_name: Michael full_name: Rüsing, Michael id: '22501' last_name: Rüsing orcid: 0000-0003-4682-4577 - first_name: Lukas full_name: Eng, Lukas last_name: Eng - first_name: Thomas full_name: Doert, Thomas last_name: Doert - first_name: Michael full_name: Ruck, Michael last_name: Ruck citation: ama: Albrecht R, Hoelzel M, Beccard H, et al. Mandatory, however, is the profound knowledge of the local-scale electronic and optical properties, especially at DWs that are still incompletely characterized to date. Here, we quantify the refractive index of individual FE DWs in periodically-poled LiNbO3 (PPLN) single crystals. When applying polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS-OCT) at 1300 nm using circular light polarization, we are able to probe the relevant electro-optical properties close to and at the DWs, including also their ordinary and extraordinary contributions. When comparing to numerical calculations, we conclude that the DW signals recorded for ordinary and extraordinary polarization stem from an increased refractive index of at least Δn > 2·10−3 that originates from a tiny region of < 30 nm in width. PS-OCT hence provides an extremely valuable tool to decipher and quantify subtle changes of refractive index profiles for both inorganic and biomedical nanomaterial systems. article_number: '33615' author: - first_name: Jonas full_name: Golde, Jonas last_name: Golde - first_name: Michael full_name: Rüsing, Michael id: '22501' last_name: Rüsing orcid: 0000-0003-4682-4577 - first_name: Jan full_name: Rix, Jan last_name: Rix - first_name: Lukas M. full_name: Eng, Lukas M. last_name: Eng - first_name: Edmund full_name: Koch, Edmund last_name: Koch citation: ama: Golde J, Rüsing M, Rix J, Eng LM, Koch E. B-CARS allows for the detection of vibrational sample properties in analogy to spontaneous Raman spectroscopy, but also makes electronic sample environments accessible due to its resonant excitation mechanism. Nevertheless, this technique has only gained interest in the biomedical field so far, whereas CARS investigations on solid-state materials are rare and concentrate on layered, two-dimensional materials such as graphene and hexagonal boron nitride . In this work, we discuss the specific properties of this technique when applied to single-crystalline samples, with respect to signal generation, phase matching, and selection rules in the model systems lithium niobate and lithium tantalate. Via polarized B-CARS measurements and subsequent phase retrieval, we validate the predicted selection rules, unequivocally assign the phonons of the A1(TO), E(TO) and A1(LO) branches to the detected CARS peaks, and address differences in spontaneous Raman spectroscopy concerning peak frequencies and scattering efficiencies. We thus establish this technique for future investigations of solid-state materials, specifically in the field of ferroelectric single crystals. article_number: '224308' article_type: original author: - first_name: Franz full_name: Hempel, Franz last_name: Hempel - first_name: Sven full_name: Reitzig, Sven last_name: Reitzig - first_name: Michael full_name: Rüsing, Michael id: '22501' last_name: Rüsing orcid: 0000-0003-4682-4577 - first_name: Lukas M. full_name: Eng, Lukas M. last_name: Eng citation: ama: Hempel F, Reitzig S, Rüsing M, Eng LM. The question arises if this is also true for the performance in mental body-rotation tasks (MBRT).\r\nAIM: Taking the embodied cognition approach into account, the first aim of the present study was to examine the potential influence of different demands on dynamic stability for two postures (parallel stand vs. tandem stand) on solving two versions of the MBRT, inducing either an object-based or an egocentric perspective transformation strategy. The second aim was to investigate if these different demands on dynamic stability are reflected in postural sway parameters.\r\nMETHOD: Thirty participants (18 females and 12 males) were tested in the two MBRTs and in a control condition. All tasks were performed while standing on a balance beam in tandem stand and in a feet parallel position on a force plate.\r\nRESULTS: The results for response time and response error revealed effects of rotation angle and task, but no effect of posture. The analyzed Center of Pressure (CoP) data revealed a reduction of body sway during the MBRT for egocentric perspective transformations.\r\nCONCLUSION: The results indicate that participants performed better for egocentric than for object-based transformations and that the egocentric transformation leads to more postural stability than the object-based." author: - first_name: Kirsten full_name: Budde, Kirsten id: '23188' last_name: Budde - first_name: Thomas full_name: Jöllenbeck, Thomas last_name: Jöllenbeck - first_name: José A. full_name: Barela, José A. last_name: Barela - first_name: Gabriella A. full_name: Figueiredo, Gabriella A. last_name: Figueiredo - first_name: Matthias full_name: Weigelt, Matthias id: '36388' last_name: Weigelt citation: ama: 'Budde K, Jöllenbeck T, Barela JA, Figueiredo GA, Weigelt M. We will report on the design and implementation of an introductory unit on “Data and data detectives with CODAP” in which secondary school students used the online tool CODAP to explore real and meaningful survey data on leisure time activities and media use (so‐called JIM‐PB data) in a statistical project setting as a starting point for data science. The JIM‐PB data set served as a valuable data set that offered meaningful and exciting opportunities for data exploration for secondary school students, and CODAP proved to be a valuable tool for the first explorations of this data. author: - first_name: Daniel full_name: Frischemeier, Daniel last_name: Frischemeier - first_name: Rolf full_name: Biehler, Rolf last_name: Biehler - first_name: Susanne full_name: Podworny, Susanne last_name: Podworny - first_name: Lea full_name: Budde, Lea last_name: Budde citation: ama: 'Frischemeier D, Biehler R, Podworny S, Budde L. The lagging leg switches are subject to larger commutation currents compared to those of the leading leg as the transformer current reduces in the freewheeling interval. Furthermore, after this interval, the energy in the series inductance may not be large enough to achieve zero-voltage switching (ZVS) for the leading leg. Both effects result in thermal imbalances. This paper analyzes the alternating-asymmetrical phase-shift modulation to achieve balanced conduction and switching losses for all four switches while showing that this modulation is easily implemented on standard DSPs. The modulation has been implemented to LLC converters where experimental measurement results proved its effectiveness for LLC converters by reducing the temperature deviation from 6.3 K to only 0.2 K such that the peak temperature is reduced from 95 °C to 92 °C. The paper also proves that the modulation can be utilized to improve the efficiency of LLC converters operated at very low gains while simultaneously reducing the junction temperature of all four switches compared to the conventional complementary modulation. Finally, EMI implications are analyzed, which show that the modulation may be beneficial for reducing the common-mode emissions around the operating frequency. author: - first_name: Philipp full_name: Rehlaender, Philipp id: '69469' last_name: Rehlaender - first_name: Roland full_name: Unruh, Roland id: '34289' last_name: Unruh - first_name: Frank full_name: Schafmeister, Frank id: '71291' last_name: Schafmeister - first_name: Joachim full_name: Böcker, Joachim id: '66' last_name: Böcker orcid: 0000-0002-8480-7295 citation: ama: 'Rehlaender P, Unruh R, Schafmeister F, Böcker J. Viereck, Rechteck und Quadrat. Implikationen dieser Ergebnisse für Forschung und Praxis werden diskutiert. author: - first_name: Julia full_name: Bruns, Julia id: '72183' last_name: Bruns orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6604-5864 - first_name: Elisabeth full_name: Unterhauser, Elisabeth last_name: Unterhauser - first_name: Hedwig full_name: Gasteiger, Hedwig last_name: Gasteiger citation: ama: Bruns J, Unterhauser E, Gasteiger H. The unidimensional agentic stereotype of these work contexts signals agentic job and organizational requirements (stereotypically male qualities such as achievement orientation), although the actual requirements usually also include communality (stereotypically female qualities such as interpersonal skills). In five experiments, we investigate the relevance of perceived applicant agency for perceived applicant fit, the influence of recruitment material, contextual differences, and the role of applicant gender. Our findings indicate that perceived applicant agency drives perceived person‐job and person‐organization fit in strictly male stereotyped work contexts, regardless of gender, and agentic recruitment material enhances this effect. Contrasting different contexts (high‐ with low‐status jobs and a male‐dominated with a gender‐balanced and female‐dominated field) revealed that the relevance of perceived agency increases with perceived job status, and the relevance of perceived communality decreases with the expected share of men. Although women were perceived as highly agentic in strictly male stereotyped work contexts, their need to be perceived as agentic also was higher than for men, due to the perceived lack of fit between women and high‐status jobs. author: - first_name: Regina full_name: Dutz, Regina last_name: Dutz - first_name: Sylvia full_name: Hubner-Benz, Sylvia id: '100407' last_name: Hubner-Benz - first_name: Claudia full_name: Peus, Claudia last_name: Peus citation: ama: 'Dutz R, Hubner-Benz S, Peus C. Drawing on 43 interviews with successful players in Silicon Valley, Munich, and Singapore, we found ecosystem-specific narratives indicate what is common, appropriate, and successful in each ecosystem, and these narratives encourage either effectuation or causation. Our findings indicate that the narratives in the ecosystem in Silicon Valley facilitate effectuation, in Munich causation, and in Singapore a cautious balance of both. Our research suggests that narratives can explain mechanisms how ecosystems influence entrepreneurship: the national culture, market characteristics, available resources, and networks in an ecosystem spark ecosystem-specific narratives, which in turn shape tendencies towards effectuation and causation. Thereby, we introduce a new ecosystem-focused perspective on predictors of effectuation and causation.' author: - first_name: Sylvia full_name: Hubner-Benz, Sylvia id: '100407' last_name: Hubner-Benz - first_name: Fabian full_name: Most, Fabian last_name: Most - first_name: Jochen full_name: Wirtz, Jochen last_name: Wirtz - first_name: Christine full_name: Auer, Christine last_name: Auer citation: ama: 'Hubner-Benz S, Most F, Wirtz J, Auer C. In the present experiment, stimulus sets of human figures (back view; left vs. right arm abduction) and alphanumeric characters (‘R’; normal vs. mirrored view) were scrutinized with event‐related potentials (ERPs) in the electroencephalography (EEG). Participants had to judge parity between an upright (0° orientation) and a comparison stimulus (stimulus disparity; 0°, 45°, 90°, 135° or 180°). There was a main effect of stimulus disparity for the behavioural (response time and error rates), as well as for the neural data (rotation‐related negativity, RRN). The interaction of stimulus disparity and stimulus type was significant for the RRN, but not for the response time. Lower RRN amplitudes for letters indicate a more pronounced use of alternative processes (e.g., memory retrieval), which seems to be reflected in higher N350 amplitudes. Moreover, the increase of the RRN amplitude and the increase in response time as a function of disparity were positively correlated. Task differences were evident for several ERP components (i.e., N150, P150 and N250), being independent of disparity, which might reflect differences in early and late object cognition prior to the mental rotation process itself. This might be associated with the task‐dependent activation of embodied cognition processes in mental rotation tasks. author: - first_name: Daniel full_name: Krause, Daniel id: '668' last_name: Krause orcid: orcid.org/0000-0001-5391-885X - first_name: Benjamin full_name: Richert, Benjamin last_name: Richert - first_name: Matthias full_name: Weigelt, Matthias id: '36388' last_name: Weigelt citation: ama: 'Krause D, Richert B, Weigelt M. Sie charakterisiert sich sowohl als geschichtswissenschaftliche Forschungsmethode als auch Unterrichtsmethode zur Erstellung, Bearbeitung und Interpretation historischer Quellen mittels Erinnerungsinterviews zu vergangenen Erlebnissen und Erfahrungen (vgl. Michalik 2017, Schreiber 2009). The uPIT criterion was proposed for utterance-level separation with neural networks and introduces the constraint that the total number of speakers must not exceed the number of output channels. When processing meeting-like data in a segment-wise manner, i.e., by separating overlapping segments independently and stitching adjacent segments to continuous output streams, this constraint has to be fulfilled for any segment. In this contribution, we show that this constraint can be significantly relaxed. We propose a novel graph-based PIT criterion, which casts the assignment of utterances to output channels in a graph coloring problem. It only requires that the number of concurrently active speakers must not exceed the number of output channels. As a consequence, the system can process an arbitrary number of speakers and arbitrarily long segments and thus can handle more diverse scenarios.\r\nFurther, the stitching algorithm for obtaining a consistent output order in neighboring segments is of less importance and can even be eliminated completely, not the least reducing the computational effort. Experiments on meeting-style WSJ data show improvements in recognition performance over using the uPIT criterion. Typical concepts in development management like the application of safety coefficients imply limitations of the solution space. In contrast, explicit handling of uncertainties can support engineers in understanding the problem space and in utilising the full potential of the design space along iterative product development steps. As a result from literature analysis, there is a lack of a support for product development that addresses the specific problem of uncertainty and risk in the context of requirement changes. The aim of the contribution at hand is to enhance the efficient development of complex interdisciplinary systems by enabling uncertainty handling in requirements change management. Based on a classification of uncertainty types resulting in a descriptive model, risk management measures are identified to support requirements engineers. The proposed method includes identification & modelling, analysis, treatment and monitoring of risks and counter-measures. By applying this method, engineers are supported in adopting agile approaches and enabling flexible Requirements Engineering. author: - first_name: Iris full_name: Gräßler, Iris id: '47565' last_name: Gräßler orcid: 0000-0001-5765-971X - first_name: Jens full_name: Pottebaum, Jens id: '405' last_name: Pottebaum orcid: http://orcid.org/0000-0001-8778-2989 - first_name: Christian full_name: Oleff, Christian id: '41188' last_name: Oleff orcid: 0000-0002-0983-1850 - first_name: Daniel full_name: Preuß, Daniel id: '40253' last_name: Preuß citation: ama: Gräßler I, Pottebaum J, Oleff C, Preuß D.
