In der fachdidaktischen Forschung liegt daher bereits seit längerem ein Fokus auf der Analyse des FDW, wobei mittlerweile vor allem Auswirkungen auf die Handlungsqualität und auf Lernergebnisse in den Blick genommen werden. Nach wie vor stellt aber auch die empirisch fundierte inhaltliche Beschreibung des FDW sowie der Transfer entwickelter FDW-Testverfahren auf Basis von Testinstrumenten mit offenem Antwortformat in die Ausbildungspraxis ein Forschungsdesiderat dar. In diesem Dissertationsprojekt werden daher auf Basis eines Datensatzes von 846 Bearbeitungen eines FDW-Testinstruments im Fach Physik (1) projektübergreifende FDW-Kompetenzniveaus auf Basis von Item-Response-Modellierungen exploriert, (2) nicht-hierarchische FDW-Kompetenzprofile auf Basis von (probabilistischen) Cluster- und Textanalysen beschrieben und (3) ein vollständig automatisiertes FDW-Assessment-System auf Basis von Machine Learning entwickelt. Dabei wurden insbesondere kognitive Anforderungskategorien als Subskalen des verwendeten Testinstruments betrachtet. Das Assessment-System wurde dabei auf Basis dieser und weiterer Subskalen sowie anhand der Zuordnung von Proband:innen zu den Kompetenzprofilen evaluiert und zeigte sowohl relativ zur Interrater-Übereinstimmung als auch absolut betrachtet hohe Performanzwerte."},{"text":"Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) is one of the central elements of the professional knowledge of (prospective) teachers. Its relevance is theoretically established and empirically shown multiple times. PCK has therefore been analyzed continuously in education research, currently with a particular emphasis on its impact on the quality of teaching and directly on learning outcomes. However, there is still a lack of detailed empirically backed descriptions of the intricacies of PCK and of methodologies for translating developed PCK assessment procedures based on open-ended questionnaires into educational practice. In this dissertation project, therefore, three objectives are pursued, based on a dataset of 846 responses to a physics PCK test instrument. First, cross-project PCK competency levels are explored based on item response modeling. Second, non-hierarchical PCK competency profiles are described based on (probabilistic) cluster and text analyses. Third, a fully automated FDW assessment system based on Machine Learning is developed. In particular, cognitive requirement categories were considered as subscales of the test instrument used. Athletes must perceive and process information to adapt movements, yet traditional agility tests often lack cognitive and multidirectional demands. Additionally, modern test systems are mostly stationary. This study evaluated the novel and portable “Functional Agility Square Test” (FAST) for validity, reliability, and usefulness. Methods: To assess discriminant validity, 22 game sports (GS) and 22 non-game sports (NGS) athletes participated in one session. Test–retest reliability was examined with 36 GS athletes (20 female) across three sessions. Participants performed cognitive (FAST_COG), preplanned (FAST_MOT), and randomized (FAST_SAT) reactive change-of-direction tasks, each repeated three times per session. Results: Results showed significantly lower response times (RTs) in GS compared to NGS (p &lt; 0.05). Mean RTs indicated moderate relative reliability (ICC 0.50–0.74), while medians showed moderate to good reliability (ICC 0.59–0.83). Usefulness was evident from the first session (FAST_MOT) or from the third session (FAST_SAT) based on median RTs. Conclusions: Thus, the FAST seems to be valid, reliable, and sensitive for GS-based agility assessment. Its portable setup enables ecologically valid field testing. We conceptualized data-based decision tree construction using nine key aspects that we intended to teach, tested variations of two design elements in teaching, and analyzed the interviews qualitatively to compare student behavior to intended outcomes. We found high alignment to intentions but also deviations in data activities and informal or context-based rather than data-based reasoning. The method is based on establishing an\r\nequivalence between the existence of a limiting empirical zero distribution\r\n$\\mu$ and the existence of an exponential profile $g$ associated with the\r\ncoefficients of the polynomials $(P_n)_{n \\in \\mathbb{N}}$. The exponential\r\nprofile $g$, which can be roughly described by $[z^k]P_n(z) \\approx \\exp(n\r\ng(k/n))$, offers a direct route to computing the Cauchy transform $G$ of $\\mu$:\r\nthe functions $t \\mapsto tG(t)$ and $\\alpha \\mapsto \\exp(-g'(\\alpha))$ are\r\nmutual inverses. This relationship, in various forms, has previously appeared\r\nin the literature, most notably in the paper [Van Assche, Fano and Ortolani,\r\nSIAM J. Math. Anal., 1987].\r\n  As a first contribution, we present a self-contained probabilistic proof of\r\nthis equivalence by representing the polynomials as generating functions of\r\nsums of independent Bernoulli random variables. This probabilistic framework\r\nnaturally lends itself to tools from large deviation theory, such as the\r\nexponential change of measure. The resulting theorems generalize and unify a\r\nrange of previously known results, which were traditionally established through\r\nanalytic or combinatorial methods.\r\n  Secondly, using the profile-based approach, we investigate how the\r\nexponential profile and the limiting zero distribution behave under certain\r\noperations on polynomials, including finite free convolutions, Hadamard\r\nproducts, and repeated differentiation.
