abstract = {{Wenn von und für Diskursanalytiker(innen) eine Preisfrage ausgesetzt werden würde, dann wäre wohl eine der ersten zu beantwortenden Fragen, was denn eine "nicht-diskursive Praktik" sei. Die Frage markiert gewissermaßen die Grenze des Diskurses, denn schon die Benennung lässt vermuten, dass "nicht-diskursive Praktiken" eben nicht mehr Diskurs sind. Dieses Problem des Nicht-Diskursiven und die verschiedenen Möglichkeiten, diesen Rand, diese Grenze zu denken, auf ihrem Grat zu gehen oder sie zu unterlaufen, möchten wir im Folgenden zunächst anhand der theoretisch-methodologischen Debatte und dann anhand einiger konkreter Interpretationen von Texten und Beobachtungen aus verschiedenen empirischen Forschungsprojekten diskutieren. Dabei orientieren wir uns an den denkbaren Grenzen des Diskurses – der Macht, der Alltagspraxis, dem Körper, dem Subjekt – und entfalten die These, dass die Unterscheidung von diskursiv und nicht-diskursiv gerade nicht geeignet ist, Klarheit in die Debatte zu bringen.

abstract = {{This longitudinal study addresses the impact of the transition from university to work life on emerging adults' well-being and their relationship with their parents. A sample of 102 German students attending their last year at the university (M = 25.44 years, SD = 2.61) completed a questionnaire. Among others, scales from the Network of Relationships Inventory and symptom checklists were administered. Four years later, 51 employed participants of the initial sample were contacted again. During the transition from university to work life, well-being and the relationship with their parents improved. Following a typological approach, two groups of emerging adults were revealed by means of cluster analyses. Well-being in one group increased, whereas well-being in the second group decreased. Group membership was predicted by sex, personality, and the child–parent relationship in university times.}},

abstract = {{The link between formal education and national identities is widely acknowledged. Empirical research on national and supranational identities of teachers, however, is still relatively rare. Whilst a number of studies consider the special population of teachers, these contributions do not consistently focus on national and supranational identities. Based on a case study of 72 trainee teachers from Baden‐Württemberg (Germany), the present paper looks at the reconcilability of national and European identities and explores notions of the European Union in terms of cultural and geographical inclusiveness. Findings on the case study level are considered in their own right, but also compared to findings on the regional, national and European level, using relevant Eurobarometer survey data. The article shows that high levels of attachment to nation and high levels of attachment to Europe do not have to be mutually exclusive. It also demonstrates that, for most trainee teachers, the European Union constitutes a culturally and geographically inclusive institution that is supposed to stand for cultural diversity, peace, freedom and respect of human rights. Through comparisons that go beyond the case study level, the paper recognises the importance of regional and national contexts. Nonetheless, it argues that some of its findings are likely to be relevant for studies of national and European identities across different European societies.}},
