Three different coordination modes of the ligand <jats:italic>viz.,</jats:italic> bis(didentate), tridentate and tetradentate are observed. Under various experimental conditions, <jats:bold>1</jats:bold> forms a double‐stranded dicopper(I)helicate, [Cu<jats:sup>I</jats:sup><jats:sub>2</jats:sub>(dbt‐phen)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>]<jats:sup>2+</jats:sup> <jats:bold>2</jats:bold>; a mono(dbt‐phen) copper(II) complex, [Cu<jats:sup>II</jats:sup>(dbt‐phen)(H<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>O)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>]<jats:sup>2+</jats:sup> <jats:bold>3,</jats:bold> a Ni<jats:sup>II</jats:sup> complex [Ni(dbt‐ phen)(NCMe)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>(OH<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>)]<jats:sup>2+</jats:sup> <jats:bold>4</jats:bold>, a bis(dbt‐phen) zinc(II) complex, [Zn<jats:sup>II</jats:sup>(<jats:italic>dbt‐phen</jats:italic>)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>]<jats:sup>2+</jats:sup> <jats:bold>5</jats:bold> and a pseudo‐octahedral complex [Fe<jats:sup>II</jats:sup>(dbt‐phen)Br<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>] <jats:bold>6</jats:bold>. Crystal packing feature of the dicopper helicate [Cu<jats:sup>I</jats:sup>(<jats:italic>dbt‐phen</jats:italic>)]<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>[BF<jats:sub>4</jats:sub>]<jats:sub>2</jats:sub><jats:bold>, 2</jats:bold>+[BF<jats:sub>4</jats:sub>]<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> reveals novel short contacts between BF<jats:sub>4</jats:sub><jats:sup>−</jats:sup> ions and the hydrogens of the phenyl rings leading to the peculiar double stranded and helical topology. Dies gilt auch für das hier betrachtete Laserstrahlschmelzen, bei dem metallische Werkstoffe in Pulverform verarbeitet werden. Durch den schichtweisen Aufbau können dabei enorme Vorteile gegenüber konventionellen Fertigungsverfahren erzielt werden, was sich u. a. in einem bis dato unerreichten Maß an Geometriefreiheit widerspiegelt.\r\n\r\nAllerdings werden die Werkstoffeigenschaften teils erheblich durch kurze und intensive Wechselwirkungen zwischen Laser und Werkstoff bestimmt. Hierdurch können sich werkstoff-spezifische Nachteile gegenüber konventionellen Fertigungsverfahren ergeben, die eine weitreichende Etablierung des Laserstrahlschmelzens erschweren.\r\n\r\nVor diesem Hintergrund zielt die vorliegende Dissertation auf eine Analyse und ggf. Optimierung der mikrostrukturellen und mechanischen Eigenschaften laserstrahlgeschmolzener Werkstoffe. Der Schwerpunkt liegt hierbei auf einer Ermüdungsbeanspruchung, da Einflüsse prozess-induzierter Defektstrukturen unter dieser Beanspruchungsform besonders deutlich werden.
