Three different coordination modes of the ligand <jats:italic>viz.,</jats:italic> bis(didentate), tridentate and tetradentate are observed. Under various experimental conditions, <jats:bold>1</jats:bold> forms a double‐stranded dicopper(I)helicate, [Cu<jats:sup>I</jats:sup><jats:sub>2</jats:sub>(dbt‐phen)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>]<jats:sup>2+</jats:sup> <jats:bold>2</jats:bold>; a mono(dbt‐phen) copper(II) complex, [Cu<jats:sup>II</jats:sup>(dbt‐phen)(H<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>O)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>]<jats:sup>2+</jats:sup> <jats:bold>3,</jats:bold> a Ni<jats:sup>II</jats:sup> complex [Ni(dbt‐ phen)(NCMe)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>(OH<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>)]<jats:sup>2+</jats:sup> <jats:bold>4</jats:bold>, a bis(dbt‐phen) zinc(II) complex, [Zn<jats:sup>II</jats:sup>(<jats:italic>dbt‐phen</jats:italic>)<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>]<jats:sup>2+</jats:sup> <jats:bold>5</jats:bold> and a pseudo‐octahedral complex [Fe<jats:sup>II</jats:sup>(dbt‐phen)Br<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>] <jats:bold>6</jats:bold>. Crystal packing feature of the dicopper helicate [Cu<jats:sup>I</jats:sup>(<jats:italic>dbt‐phen</jats:italic>)]<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>[BF<jats:sub>4</jats:sub>]<jats:sub>2</jats:sub><jats:bold>, 2</jats:bold>+[BF<jats:sub>4</jats:sub>]<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> reveals novel short contacts between BF<jats:sub>4</jats:sub><jats:sup>−</jats:sup> ions and the hydrogens of the phenyl rings leading to the peculiar double stranded and helical topology. Dies gilt auch für das hier betrachtete Laserstrahlschmelzen, bei dem metallische Werkstoffe in Pulverform verarbeitet werden. Durch den schichtweisen Aufbau können dabei enorme Vorteile gegenüber konventionellen Fertigungsverfahren erzielt werden, was sich u. a. in einem bis dato unerreichten Maß an Geometriefreiheit widerspiegelt.\r\n\r\nAllerdings werden die Werkstoffeigenschaften teils erheblich durch kurze und intensive Wechselwirkungen zwischen Laser und Werkstoff bestimmt. Hierdurch können sich werkstoff-spezifische Nachteile gegenüber konventionellen Fertigungsverfahren ergeben, die eine weitreichende Etablierung des Laserstrahlschmelzens erschweren.\r\n\r\nVor diesem Hintergrund zielt die vorliegende Dissertation auf eine Analyse und ggf. Optimierung der mikrostrukturellen und mechanischen Eigenschaften laserstrahlgeschmolzener Werkstoffe. Der Schwerpunkt liegt hierbei auf einer Ermüdungsbeanspruchung, da Einflüsse prozess-induzierter Defektstrukturen unter dieser Beanspruchungsform besonders deutlich werden. In contrast to previous approaches, they allow for intuitive user control in order to accommodate all kinds of application driven constraints and design intentions. A major obstacle in practice, however, are the relatively long computations that lead to response times of several minutes already for input models of moderate complexity. In this paper we introduce a novel strategy to handle highly complex input meshes with up to several millions of triangles such that quad meshes can still be created and edited within an interactive workflow. Our method is based on representing the input model on different levels of resolution with a mechanism to propagate parametrizations from coarser to finer levels. The major challenge is to guarantee consistent parametrizations even in the presence of charts, transition functions, and singularities. Moreover, the remaining degrees of freedom on coarser levels of resolution have to be chosen carefully in order to still achieve low distortion parametrizations. This is particularly true for recent parametrization‐based meshing approaches, where this directly translates into a shape‐aware edge flow, better approximation quality, and reduced meshing artifacts. Existing methods to influence a parametrization based on principal curvature directions suffer from scale‐dependence, which implies the necessity of parameter variation, or try to capture complex directional shape features using simple 1D curves. Especially for non‐sharp features, such as chamfers, fillets, blends, and even more for organic variants thereof, these abstractions can be unfit. We present a novel approach which respects and exploits the 2D nature of such directional feature regions, detects them based on coherence and homogeneity properties, and controls the parametrization process accordingly. This approach enables us to provide an intuitive, scale‐invariant control parameter to the user. It also allows us to consider non‐local aspects like the topology of a feature, enabling further improvements. The synthesis of directional fields on surfaces, or other spatial domains, is a fundamental step in numerous applications, such as mesh generation, deformation, texture mapping, and many more. The wide range of applications resulted in definitions for many types of directional fields: from vector and tensor fields, over line and cross fields, to frame and vector‐set fields. Depending on the application at hand, researchers have used various notions of objectives and constraints to synthesize such fields. These notions are defined in terms of fairness, feature alignment, symmetry, or field topology, to mention just a few. To facilitate these objectives, various representations, discretizations, and optimization strategies have been developed. These choices come with varying strengths and weaknesses. This report provides a systematic overview of directional field synthesis for graphics applications, the challenges it poses, and the methods developed in recent years to address these challenges.</jats:p>","lang":"eng"}],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}]}]
