Using data from the representative German Time Use Survey 2001/02 and 2012/13, three different pairs were formed: dual-earner couples, couples with additional female income and male-breadwinner couples Findings show that mother’s employment influences the time used for everyday food routines: It was found that the higher the employment rate of mothers, the less time was spent on food routine activities. Furthermore, the daily time used for everyday food routines was reduced from 2001/02 to 2012/13. The largest reductions were seen in the group of mothers working fulltime. Besides that, fathers were more engaged in meal preparation on the weekends, although the responsibility was the mother’s. In addition, the age and number of children in a household influenced the time used for everyday food routines. However, none of the examined pair constellations can help determine an egalitarian division of everyday food routines. There is still a labor division by gender.
\r\nZusammenfassung
Vielmehr dominieren relativ ausgeprägte geschlechtsspezifische Arrangements.","lang":"eng"}],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"type":"journal_article","citation":{"chicago":"Klünder, Nina, and Uta Meier-Gräwe. “Essalltag Und Arbeitsteilung von Eltern in Paarbeziehungen – Eine Quantitative Analyse Auf Basis Der Repräsentativen Zeitverwendungsdaten 2012/13 Und 2001/02.” Journal of Family Research, 2017, 179–201. https://doi.org/10.3224/zff.v29i2.03.","ama":"Klünder N, Meier-Gräwe U. These microservices are clearly bounded for each other and expose their functionality through, for instance, RESTful application inter- faces. Particularly the clear boundaries between microservices enable the reuse of microservice throughout different projects. Because of the increasing use of microservices, the composition of multiple microservices in service composition becomes a more important task. A challenging area in developing service compo- sitions is that it involves two distinct layers with few junctions. On the one hand, describes a service composition a business process, which involves multiple com- ponents. On the other hand, involves the implementation of a service composition topics like service discovery and message exchange protocols since the microser- vices involved in a service composition are located within a network environment. In this Bachelor’s Thesis, I describe a descriptions language to abstractly describe the business logic of a service composition. Furthermore, I describe a genera- tion process, which compiles this abstract description to a working microservice realizing the specified service composition. In addition to that, I provide an im- plementation of the generation process, as a proof of concept, and test it within a Kubernetes-based cluster environment."}],"type":"bachelorsthesis","citation":{"ieee":"A. As an alternative\r\nto the usual cascaded biexciton-exciton emission, direct two-photon emission from the biexciton can be used.\r\nWith a high-quality optical resonator tuned to half the biexciton energy, a large proportion of the photons\r\ncan be steered into the two-photon emission channel. In this case the degree of polarization entanglement is\r\ninherently insensitive to the exciton fine-structure splitting. In the present work we analyze the biexciton emission\r\nwith particular emphasis on the influence of coupling of the quantum-dot cavity system to its environment.\r\nEspecially for a high-quality cavity, the coupling to the surrounding semiconductormaterial can open up additional\r\nphonon-assisted decay channels. Our analysis demonstrates that with the cavity tuned to half the biexciton energy,\r\nthe potentially detrimental influence of the phonons on the polarization entanglement is strongly suppressed—high\r\ndegrees of entanglement can still be achieved. We further discuss spectral properties and statistics of the emitted\r\ntwin photons.","lang":"eng"}],"article_type":"original"},{"page":"659--671","type":"journal_article","citation":{"ama":"Hendrik Betzing J, Beverungen D, Becker J, et al. In this light, Service Science continues to take root as a research discipline that focuses on the integration of (digital) resources by service providers and service customers for value co-creation in service systems. Rapid advances in information technology allow for designing novel information systems that enable entirely new configurations of service systems. In turn, Service Science also leaves its mark on the design, adoption, and use of information systems and technology. With this special issue, we compile a set of timely papers that investigate selected facets of the complex interplay between information technology, information systems, and Service Science to design innovative IT artifacts for smart service. This editorial opens this special issue by elaborating on our understanding of smart service.

With this study, we aim to explain part of the huge cross-sectional variation in the tax footnote. To assess disclosure behavior, we hand-collect data from notes of large German firms’ IFRS financial statements and identify voluntarily disclosed information. First, our results support prior literature’s evidence of a considerable cross-sectional variation of disclosure in the tax footnote. Second, we find that uncertainty about the usability of tax losses has a significantly positive relation to the amount and quality of disclosure, controlling for other disclosure determinants derived from prior literature and for sample selection. Third, our results indicate that the observed disclosure behavior is not simply a reflection of the firm’s general disclosure behavior but specific to the tax footnote. These findings are robust to several historic and forward-looking indicators representing uncertainty. Our findings suggest that managers anticipate the investors’ need for more private information and disclose them voluntarily to reduce information asymmetries. This result indicates that part of the cross-sectional variation in the tax footnote can be explained by firms anticipating investors’ demand for additional information. I examine whether deferred taxes provide information about future tax payments and future performance, using a German sample of IFRS firms. The focus on tax loss carryforwards enables a separation of the two relations, testing on the one hand, the relation between recognized deferred tax assets and future tax payments and on the other hand, the relation between the non-usable part of tax losses and future earnings. I find significantly negative coefficients for both deferred tax items, indicating that higher recognized deferred tax assets are associated with lower future tax payments and higher non-usable tax loss carryforwards with lower future performance. Additionally, I compare the tax accounts' predictive ability for a matched German and US sample and find no significant differences between firms reporting under IFRS and US-GAAP. Taken together, the evidence suggests that deferred tax items for tax loss carryforwards reported under IFRS provide useful information about future outcomes and that this predictive ability does not differ significantly from firms reporting under US-GAAP.","lang":"eng"}]},{"publication":"Zeitschrift für Berufs-und Wirtschaftspädagogik","department":[{"_id":"209"}],"author":[{"last_name":"Sloane","id":"503","first_name":"Peter F. Based on this discussion, the author develops a theoretical framework including human agency as an individual feature (i. e., a disposition) as well as a set of self-initiated and goal-directed behaviours that are assumed to affect employees’ learning and development (e. g., crafting of new work experiences). He then further specifies this theoretical framework and investigates it empirically in the domain of geriatric care nursing. Based on the findings of the three empirical studies conducted, the author discusses the relevance of human agency for the development of professional expertise of geriatric care nurses.\r\n\r\nThe work received the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Workplace Learning SIG 2017 Dissertation of the Year Award.","lang":"eng"}],"user_id":"30984","main_file_link":[{"url":"https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007%2F978-3-658-18286-1"}],"year":"2017","type":"book","citation":{"apa":"Goller, M. The frequency-domain\r\ncoupled-mode models then combine these into fully vectorial approximations for the optical electromagnetic\r\nfields of the composite structure. Following a discretization of amplitude functions by 1D finite elements, pro-\r\ncedures from the realm of finite-element numerics are applied to establish systems of linear equations for the then-\r\ndiscrete modal amplitudes. Examples substantiate the functioning of the technique and allow for some numerical\r\nassessment. The full 3D simulations are highly efficient in memory consumption, moderately demanding in com-\r\nputational time, and, in regimes of low radiative losses, sufficiently accurate for practical design. So far, this problem is understood only in simplistic single-hop or unit disk graph models. We in this paper initiate the study of MAC protocols for the SINR interference model (a.k.a. physical model). This paper makes two contributions. First, we introduce a new adversarial SINR model which captures a wide range of interference phenomena. Concretely, we consider a powerful, adaptive adversary which can jam nodes at arbitrary times and which is only limited by some energy budget. Our second contribution is a distributed MAC protocol called Sade which provably achieves a constant competitive throughput in this environment: we show that, with high probability, the protocol ensures that a constant fraction of the non-blocked time periods is used for successful transmissions.","lang":"eng"}],"doi":"10.1007/s00446-017-0307-1","date_updated":"2022-01-06T06:59:47Z","publication_status":"published","publication_identifier":{"issn":["0178-2770","1432-0452"]},"department":[{"_id":"79"}],"title":"Sade: competitive MAC under adversarial SINR"},{"_id":"3881","date_updated":"2022-01-06T06:59:47Z","main_file_link":[{"url":"https://www.aclweb.org/anthology/E17-1017.pdf"}],"language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"year":"2017","type":"conference","citation":{"bibtex":"@inproceedings{Wachsmuth_Naderi_Hou_Bilu_Prabhakaran_Thijm_Hirst_Stein_2017, title={Computational Argumentation Quality Assessment in Natural Language}, booktitle={Proceedings of the 15th Conference of the European Chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics: Volume 1, Long Papers}, author={Wachsmuth, Henning and Naderi, Nona and Hou, Yufang and Bilu, Yonatan and Prabhakaran, Vinodkumar and Thijm, Tim Alberdingk and Hirst, Graeme and Stein, Benno}, year={2017}, pages={176–187} }","mla":"Wachsmuth, Henning, et al. “Computational Argumentation Quality Assessment in Natural Language.” Proceedings of the 15th Conference of the European Chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics: Volume 1, Long Papers, 2017, pp. 176–87.","ama":"Wachsmuth H, Naderi N, Hou Y, et al.
