Es liegen bereits empirische Forschungsergebnisse zu Einflussfaktoren und zur Entwicklung des FDW sowie zur Bedeutung des FDW als Ganzem für Professionswissen und Qualität professioneller Handlungen vor. Für eine detailliertere Forschung zur Zusammenhangsstruktur zwischen FDW und der Performanz in prototypischen Handlungssituationen sind darüber hinaus differenziertere empirisch begründete Beschreibungen der inneren Struktur des FDW notwendig. Bisher sind entsprechende Ansätze allerdings zumeist primär theoretisch-normativ begründet oder auf hierarchische Betrachtungen beschränkt. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird daher ein Ansatz zur nicht-hierarchischen datenbasierten Beschreibung latenter Kompetenzprofile des FDW orientiert an der Computational Grounded Theory vorgestellt. Dabei wird zunächst mithilfe eines Datensatzes von 846 Bearbeitungen des Physik-FDW-Testinstruments in überwiegend offenem Antwortformat aus dem Projekt ProfiLe-P+ eine latente Profilanalyse zur Untersuchung latenter FDW-Profile unter Fokus auf kognitive Anforderungen als empirisch trennbare Subskalen des FDW durchgeführt. Mithilfe von Topic Modeling werden anschließend Tendenzen in der Sprachnutzung der FDW-Profile untersucht. Um die Ergebnisse im Sinne der Computational Grounded Theory durch den Nachweis latenter Zusammenhänge zwischen den Testantworten der Proband:innen und der FDW-Profil-Zuordnung zu bestätigen, wird im Anschluss ein Machine-Learning-basiertes System zur automatisierten Zuordnung von Testbearbeitungen zu den FDW-Profilen erstellt. Es zeigen sich vier latente Kompetenzprofile mit nicht-hierarchischem Charakter. In einer längsschnittlichen Betrachtung wird abschließend die Entwicklung von Proband:innen im Kontext dieser FDW-Profile dargestellt. Yet, aligning their business with the principles of the CE is a challenging task. Utilizing a systematic literature review (SLR) and thematic analysis a framework for the business transformation towards the CE has been developed. It considers the dimensions product, business strategy, corporate management, and value chain. The circular business transformation (CBT) framework includes incentives for entering the CE, fields of action, design options, and associated challenges. For researchers, it provides a comprehensive overview and serves as a basis for in-depth studies of each dimension of CBT. I employ an economic model with a board of director's investment in a Tax Control Framework (TCF) and a tax manager's tax planning effort jointly shaping corporate tax planning and a tax auditor's technology-based audit decision. I show that the board only invests in the TCF when the enforcement environment is sufficiently strict, because it trades-off the costs and benefits of tax planning. Since strengthening tax enforcement decreases tax planning effort, the result can be less investment in a TCF in a strict enforcement environment, implying that TCF investment and enforcement can be strategic substitutes. Strikingly, I identify conditions under which improvements in tax audit technology increase corporate tax planning and impair tax audit efficiency, due to a crowding-out of audit incentives. Developing and runtime managing these heterogeneous platform devices, however, still poses multiple challenges. The programming paradigms for hardware and software applications fundamentally differ, while the runtime management requires additional attention. The first steps towards unifying design flows have been taken by creating high-level synthesis tools. However, these toolsfocus on the design process and lack runtime management features. FPGA operating systems aim to close this gap by providing runtime management features and build tools. ReconOS, as an example of an FPGA operating system, allows bridging the hardware-software gap by integrating hardware-located computation units as threads into a host operating system, allowing for familiar inter-thread programming paradigms to be extended to FPGAs. This thesis presents ReconOS64, a successor and fork of ReconOS, aiming at modern 64-bit platform systems-on-chip. Besides establishing support for this platform and incorporating new system generation processes, ReconOS64 provides additional features for both development and runtime management. By providing a flexible grouping mechanism for hardware-located threads, partial reconfiguration for exchanging individual threads at runtime is simplified. Further runtime flexibility was achieved by implementing a multi-clock architecture, allowing individual groups of threads to be executed at different frequencies, which can be adapted during runtime with a low reconfiguration overhead. In addition, this thesis provides an overview of further development approaches on various systems based on ReconOS64 and ReconOS."},{"text":"Heterogene Architekturen, welche aus mehreren Recheneinheiten im Verbund mit einer programmierbaren Logik bestehen, gewinnen zunehmend an Verbreitung. Die Entwicklungsprozesse sowie die Steuerung solcher heterogenen Umgebungen stellen jedoch nach wie vor eine Herausforderung dar. Die Programmiertechniken für Hardware- und Software-Anwendungen unterscheiden sich bereits grundlegend; zudem benötigt die Steuerung zusätzliche Aufmerksamkeit. Die Verwendung von Hochsprachen-Synthesewerkzeugen (High-Level Synthesis) für das Hardwaredesign stellen einen ersten Schritt hin zu einem einheitlichen Entwurfsprozess dar. Allerdings beschränkt sich deren Einsatz auf den Designprozess, während das Management zur Laufzeit keine Berücksichtigung findet.FPGA-Betriebssysteme versuchen diese Lücke durch die Bereitstellung von Management- und Entwurfswerkzeugen zu schließen. Ein Beispiel für ein solches System ist ReconOS, welches die Hardware-Software-Interaktion durch Anbindung von hardwareseitigen Recheneinheiten als Threads in einem Host-Betriebssystem ermöglicht. Dadurch werden die aus der Softwareentwicklung bekannten Methoden zur Kommunikation zwischen mehreren Threads auf FPGA-Systeme ausgeweitet.Diese Arbeit stellt ReconOS64 vor, welches als Ableger von ReconOS auf aktuellen 64-bit Systemen verwendet werden kann. Neben der Unterstützung aktueller Plattformen sowie der Einrichtung eines neuen Designprozesses werden durch ReconOS64 zusätzliche Möglichkeiten sowohl zur Entwicklung wie auch zum Laufzeitmanagement geschaffen. Durch flexible Gruppierungen von Hardware-basierten Threads wird die Verwendung partieller Rekonfiguration zum Austausch einzelner Threads zur Laufzeit vereinfacht. PCM sind Materialien, deren Phasenwechseleigenschaften während des Schmelzens und Erstarrens für Heiz- und Kühlzwecke genutzt werden. Zunächst werden die theoretischen Grundlagen zu Wärmeübertragungsproblemen mit Phasenwechsel erörtert und entsprechende numerische Lösungsmethoden diskutiert. Ein Modell für Phasenwechselvorgänge wird vorgestellt, welches anhand analytischer Lösungen validiert wurde und in den Fallstudien zum Einsatz kam. Für beide Fallstudien wird der Stand der Technik erörtert und die entsprechenden Forschungsfragen werden formuliert. Die erste Fallstudie behandelt PCM-integrierte Photovoltaikmodule und die zweite Festbett-Latentwärmespeicher, welche nicht-kugelförmiger PCM-Kapseln verwenden. Für beide Systeme wurden thermische Model-le entwickelt und anhand experimenteller Daten mit guter Genauigkeit validiert. Diese Modelle wurden in Parameterstudien eingesetzt, um optimierte Systemkonfigurationen zu identifizieren. Die vorgestellten Ergebnisse zeigen, dass ein PCM-Kühlkörper mit ausreichender Dicke und Wärmeleitfähigkeit den Wirkungsgrad und die Lebensdauer von Photovoltaikmodulen erheblich erhöht. PCM are materials whose phase change characteristics during melting and solidification are utilized for heating and cooling purposes. The theoretical foundations of heat transfer problems involving phase change, along with the relevant numerical solution methods, are discussed. A phase change model is presented, which was validated against analytical solutions and applied in the case studies. For both case studies, a review of the state of the art is provided, followed by the formulation of specific research problems. The first case study investigated PCM-enhanced photovoltaic modules, while the second focused on packed bed latent heat storages (PBLHS) utilizing non-spherical PCM capsules. Thermal models were developed for both systems and validated with good accuracy against experimental data. These models were employed in parameter studies to identify optimized system configurations. The presented results demonstrate that a PCM heat sink with sufficient thickness and thermal conductivity can significantly improve the efficiency and lifespan of photovoltaic modules. Wir gehen von einem synchronen Kommunikationsnetz aus, in dem Knoten Nachrichten an alle Knoten senden können, deren Adresse sie kennen, und neue Verbindungen durch das Versenden dieser Adressen hergestellt werden können. Wenn der Ausgangsgraph des Netzwerks schwach zusammenhängend ist und einen konstanten Grad hat, dann konstruiert unser Algorithmus die gewünschte Topologie mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit in O(log n) Runden, wobei in jeder Runde nur O(log n) Nachrichten sendet und empfängt. The thesis is divided into two main parts. In the first part of this thesis, we show how to construct an overlay network of degree O(log n) and diameter O(log n) in O(log n) time starting from an arbitrary weakly connected graph. We assume a synchronous communication network in which nodes can send messages to nodes they know the identifier of, and new connections can be established by sending node identifiers. If the initial network’s graph is weakly connected and has constant degree, then our algorithm constructs the desired topology with each node sending and receiving only O(log n) messages in each round in time O(log n), w.h.p. Since the problem cannot be solved faster than by using pointer jumping for O(log n) rounds (which would even require each node to communicate Ω(n) bits), our algorithm is asymptotically optimal. Additionally, we show how our algorithm can be used to efficiently solvegraph problems in the novel HYBRID model. Motivated by the idea that nodes possess two different modes of communication, we assume that communication of the initial edges is unrestricted, whereas only polylogarithmically many messages can be sent over edges that have been established throughout an algorithm’s execution. For an (undirected) graph G with arbitrary degree, we show how tocompute connected components and a spanning forest in O(log n) time, w.h.p. Furthermore, we show how to compute an MIS in timeO(log ∆ + log log n), w.h.p., where ∆ is the initial degree of G. In the second part of the thesis, we consider the problems of computing compact routing tables and low-diameter decompositions for a (weighted) graph G := (V, E, ℓ) that can be separated through k shortest paths. This class of graphs includes planar graphs, graphs of bounded treewidth, and graphs that exclude a fixed minor Kr. We present algorithms in the CONGEST and the novel HYBRID communication model that are competitive in all relevant parameters:• For a given parameter ϵ &gt; 0, we compute a routing scheme with stretch 1 + ϵ. Our scheme computes labels of size Oe(kϵ−2)and is computed in Oe(kϵ−3) time in the HYBRID model and Oe(kϵ−3· HD) time in CONGEST. Here, HD denotes thenetwork’s hop diameter.• Given a parameter D &gt; 0, our low-diameter decomposition algorithm divides the graph into connected subgraphs of strongdiameter D. An edge e ∈ E of length ℓe has endpoints in different subgraphs with probability O(ℓe·log(k log n)/D). The decomposition can be computed in Oe(k) time in the HYBRID model and O˜(kHD) time in CONGEST.Broadly speaking, we present distributed and parallel implementations of sequential divide-and-conquer algorithms where we replaceexact shortest paths with approximate shortest paths. In contrast to exact paths, these can be efficiently computed in the distributed and parallel setting. Further, and perhaps more importantly, we show that instead of explicitly computing vertex-separators to enable efficientparallelization of these algorithms, it suffices to sample a few random paths of bounded length and the nodes close to them. Finally, we present a SetCover algorithm in the Beeping model. Our algorithm runs in O(k3) time and has an expected approximation ratio ofO(∆3/k log2 ∆). Despite lithium niobate's wide applicability as a nonlinear optical material, the impact of mechanical stress on its nonlinear optical properties is not well characterized. In this work, we systematically study both experimentally and theoretically, the nonlinear optical responses of thin film lithium niobate (TFLN) single crystals. Compressive and tensile stress is applied in our experiment using a piezodriven strain cell. We then record the second-harmonic-generated (SHG) response in back-reflection geometry, and compare these results to theoretical modeling using density functional theory (DFT). Both methods consistently reveal that uniaxial stress induces changes of the nonlinear optical susceptibility of certain tensor elements on the order of up to 1 pm/(V GPa). The exact value depends on the tensor element that is addressed in our SHG analysis, on the crystal orientation, and also whether using compressive or tensile stresses.
