This is mainly related to the constantly emerging challenges, such as not only the development of high-strength concretes is progressing very fast but also the simulation of the flow behaviour is of high importance. The main problem, however, is that the rheological characterisation of fresh concrete is not possible via commercial rheometers. The so-called concrete rheometers provide valuable relative values for comparing different concretes, but they cannot measure absolute values. Therefore, we developed an adaptive coaxial concrete rheometer (ACCR) that allows the measurement of fresh concrete with particles up to \n \n \n <m:math xmlns:m=\"http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML\">\n <m:msub>\n <m:mrow>\n <m:mi>d</m:mi>\n </m:mrow>\n <m:mrow>\n <m:mi mathvariant=\"normal\">max</m:mi>\n </m:mrow>\n </m:msub>\n <m:mo>=</m:mo>\n <m:mn>5.5</m:mn>\n <m:mspace width=\".5em\" />\n <m:mi mathvariant=\"normal\">mm</m:mi>\n </m:math>\n {d}_{{\\rm{\\max }}}=5.5\\hspace{.5em}{\\rm{mm}}\n \n . The comparison of the ACCR with a commercial rheometer showed very good agreement for selected test materials (Newtonian fluid, shear thinning fluid, suspension, and yield stress fluid), so that self-compacting concrete was subsequently measured. Since these measurements showed a very high reproducibility, the rheological properties of the fresh concrete could be determined with high accuracy. The common flow models (Bingham (B), Herschel–Bulkley, modified Bingham (MB) models) were also tested for their applicability, with the Bingham and the modified Bingham model proving to be the best suitable ones.
","lang":"eng"}],"publication":"Applied Rheology","issue":"1","keyword":["Condensed Matter Physics","General Materials Science"],"type":"journal_article","department":[{"_id":"150"}],"date_created":"2023-03-16T19:06:11Z"},{"file":[{"creator":"rheroldb","date_created":"2026-06-15T10:11:08Z","date_updated":"2026-06-15T10:11:08Z","relation":"main_file","access_level":"open_access","file_size":1019213,"file_name":"2023_Vernetzungstagung_Tusche, Herold-Blasius et al_Entwicklung von Exit-Games.pdf","content_type":"application/pdf","file_id":"65889"}],"date_created":"2026-06-15T10:11:11Z","type":"book_chapter","publication":"Digitaler Mathematikunterricht in Forschung und Praxis. The data flow among multiple tasks, e.g., from sensors to actuators, is described by a cause-effect chain, independent from the priority order of the tasks. In this article, we provide an end-to-end timing-analysis for cause-effect chains on asynchronized distributed systems with periodic task activations, considering the maximum reaction time (MRT) (i.e., the duration of data processing) and the maximum data age (MDA) (i.e., the worst-case data freshness). We first provide an analysis of the end-to-end latency on one local electronic control unit (ECU) that has to consider only the jobs in a bounded time interval. We extend our analysis to globally asynchronized systems by exploiting a compositional property to combine the local results. Throughout synthesized data based on an automotive benchmark as well as on randomized parameters, we show that our analytical results improve the state-of-the-art.
"}],"date_created":"2026-07-03T21:14:05Z","type":"journal_article","author":[{"full_name":"Günzel, Mario","last_name":"Günzel","first_name":"Mario"},{"first_name":"Kuan-Hsun","last_name":"Chen","full_name":"Chen, Kuan-Hsun"},{"first_name":"Niklas","last_name":"Ueter","full_name":"Ueter, Niklas"},{"full_name":"Brüggen, Georg von der","last_name":"Brüggen","first_name":"Georg von der"},{"last_name":"Dürr","first_name":"Marco","full_name":"Dürr, Marco"},{"last_name":"Chen","first_name":"Jian-Jia","full_name":"Chen, Jian-Jia"}],"publication_identifier":{"issn":["1539-9087","1558-3465"]},"title":"Compositional Timing Analysis of Asynchronized Distributed Cause-effect Chains","year":"2023","intvolume":" 22","publication_status":"published","date_updated":"2026-07-05T14:46:55Z","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"doi":"10.1145/3587036","citation":{"ieee":"M. As of today, multiple\r\nRISC-V applications and variants are under investigation for embedded IoT systems, from resource-limited single-core\r\nprocessors up to multi-core systems for High-Performance Computing (HPC). Recently, the Grid of Processing Cells\r\n(GPC) platform has been proposed as a scalable parallel grid-oriented network of processor cores with local memories.\r\nThis paper describes a prototype design of the GPC platform for hardware implementation at Register-Transfer Level\r\n(RTL) based on modified RISC-V Rocket processors with scratchpad memories. It introduces a scalable Chisel-based\r\nimplementation of the modified Rocket cores with RTL generation and a functional test using Verilator simulation. This\r\nwork also includes the adaptation of the Chipyard software toolchain to extend the compiler to multi-core grids with\r\ndifferent local address spaces.","lang":"eng"}],"publication":"MBMV 2023 - 26.
