Whilst interferometric-based methods generally provide the best results for low-loss waveguides, they are almost exclusively used to provide characterization in cases where the waveguide is spatially single-mode. Here, we introduce a Fabry-Pérot-based scheme to estimate the losses of a nonlinear (birefringent or quasi-phase matched) waveguide at a wavelength where it is multi-mode. The method involves measuring the generated second harmonic power as the pump wavelength is scanned over the phase matching region. Furthermore, it is shown that this method allows one to infer the losses of different second harmonic spatial modes by scanning the pump field over the separated phase matching spectra. By fitting the measured phase matching spectra from different titanium indiffused lithium niobate waveguides to the model presented in this paper, it is shown that one can estimate the second harmonic losses of a single spatial-mode, at wavelengths where the waveguides are spatially multi-mode.}}, author = {{Santandrea, Matteo and Stefszky, Michael and Roeland, Ganaël and Silberhorn, Christine}}, issn = {{1094-4087}}, journal = {{Optics Express}}, keywords = {{Atomic and Molecular Physics, and Optics}}, number = {{4}}, publisher = {{Optica Publishing Group}}, title = {{{Interferometric method for determining the losses of spatially multi-mode nonlinear waveguides based on second harmonic generation.}}}, doi = {{10.1364/oe.380788}}, volume = {{28}}, year = {{2020}}, } @book{32463, author = {{Bonanati, Sabrina and Greiner, Christian and Gruchel, Nicole and Buhl, Heike M.}}, publisher = {{Springer}}, title = {{{ Lesekompetenz fördern. Based on the objective hermeneutics it was discovered that the conception of the project supports the process of perceiving, acknowledging and becoming more sensitive in regard to heterogeneous realities in life (cf. Pieper & Kottmann 2019b, p. 312) and that students can consciously perceive and reflect their own normative expectations (cf. For early education, increasingly, the setting of a kindergarten is targeted. However, when cHRI and research are brought into a kindergarten, a range of ethical and related procedural aspects have to be considered and dealt with. While ethical models elaborated within other human–robot interaction settings, e.g., assisted living contexts, can provide some important indicators for relevant issues, we argue that it is important to start developing a systematic approach to identify and tackle those ethical issues which rise with cHRI in kindergarten settings on a more global level and address the impact of the technology from a macroperspective beyond the effects on the individual. Based on our experience in conducting studies with children in general and pedagogical considerations on the role of the institution of kindergarten in specific, in this paper,we enfold some relevant aspects that have barely been addressed in an explicit way in current cHRI research. Four areas are analyzed and key ethical issues are identified in each area: (1) the institutional setting of a kindergarten, (2) children as a vulnerable group, (3) the caregivers’ role, and (4) pedagogical concepts. With our considerations, we aim at (i) broadening the methodology of the current studies within the area of cHRI, (ii) revalidate it based on our comprehensive empirical experience with research in kindergarten settings, both laboratory and real-world contexts, and (iii) provide a framework for the development of a more systematic approach to address the ethical issues in cHRI research within kindergarten settings.}}, author = {{Tolksdorf, Nils F. and Siebert, Scarlet and Zorn, Isabel and Horwath, Ilona and Rohlfing, Katharina J.}}, issn = {{1875-4791}}, journal = {{International Journal of Social Robotics}}, keywords = {{Robot ethics · Kindergarten settings · Child–robot interaction · Early childhood education}}, pages = {{129--140}}, title = {{{Ethical Considerations of Applying Robots in Kindergarten Settings: Towards an Approach from a Macroperspective}}}, doi = {{10.1007/s12369-020-00622-3}}, year = {{2020}}, } @article{20257, author = {{Kohlmeyer, Theresa and Reis, Oliver and Viertel, Franziska and Rohlfing, Katharina}}, journal = {{Theo Web}}, title = {{{Wie meinst du das? - Begriffserwerb im Religionsunterricht }}}, doi = {{10.23770/tw0137}}, year = {{2020}}, } @book{20256, editor = {{Rohlfing, Katharina J. and Müller-Brauers, Claudia}}, isbn = {{9780429321399}}, title = {{{International Perspectives on Digital Media and Early Literacy}}}, doi = {{10.4324/9780429321399}}, year = {{2020}}, } @article{20241, author = {{Tolksdorf, Nils Frederik and Siebert, Scarlet and Zorn, Isabel and Horwarth, Ilona and Rohlfing, Katharina}}, journal = {{International Journal of Social Robotics}}, title = {{{Ethical considerations of applying robots in kindergarten settings: Towards an approach from a macroperspective.}}}, doi = {{10.1007/s12369-020-00622-3}}, year = {{2020}}, } @article{21025, author = {{Eigner, Christof and Padberg, Laura and Santandrea, Matteo and Herrmann, Harald and Brecht, Benjamin and Silberhorn, Christine}}, issn = {{1094-4087}}, journal = {{Optics Express}}, number = {{22}}, title = {{{Spatially single mode photon pair source at 800 nm in periodically poled Rubidium exchanged KTP waveguides}}}, doi = {{10.1364/oe.399483}}, volume = {{28}}, year = {{2020}}, } @article{20198, author = {{Lüke, Carina and Ritterfeld, Ute and Grimminger, Angela and Rohlfing, Katharina and Liszkowski, Ulf}}, journal = {{Frontiers in Psychology 11}}, title = {{{Integrated Communication System: Gesture and language acquisition in typically developing children and children with LD and DLD}}}, doi = {{10.3389/fpsyg.2020.00118}}, year = {{2020}}, } @inbook{41424, author = {{Uppenkamp, Vera}}, booktitle = {{Inklusive Religionspädagogik der Vielfalt. Fine motor tasks are essential in daily living and, therefore, necessary to maintain. This paper extends the existing literature on fine motor control by manipulating the difficulty of a force maintenance task to characterize performance optima for elderly. Thirty-seven elderly (M = 68.00, SD = 4.65) performed a force control task at dynamically varying force levels, i.e. randomly changing every 3 s between 10%, 20%, and 30% of the individual’s maximum voluntary contraction (MVC). This task was performed alone or with one or two additional tasks to increase task difficulty. The force control characteristics accuracy, variability, and complexity were analyzed. Lowest variability was observed at 20%. Accuracy and complexity increased with increasing force level. Overall, increased task difficulty had a negative impact on task performance. Results support the assumption, that attention control has a major impact on force control performance in elderly people. We assume different parameters to have their optimum at different force levels, which remain comparably stable when additional tasks are performed. The study contributes to a better understanding of how force control is affected in real-life situations when it is performed simultaneously to other cognitive and sensory active and passive tasks.}}, author = {{Strote, Caren and Gölz, Christian Johannes and Stroehlein, Julia Kristin and Haase, Franziska Katharina and Koester, Dirk and Reinsberger, Claus and Vieluf, Solveig}}, issn = {{0014-4819}}, journal = {{Experimental Brain Research}}, keywords = {{General Neuroscience}}, number = {{10}}, pages = {{2179--2188}}, publisher = {{Springer Science and Business Media LLC}}, title = {{{Effects of force level and task difficulty on force control performance in elderly people}}}, doi = {{10.1007/s00221-020-05864-1}}, volume = {{238}}, year = {{2020}}, } @article{25302, author = {{Ressel, Joerg and Seewald, Oliver and Bremser, Wolfgang and Reicher, Hans-Peter and Strube, Oliver I.}}, issn = {{0300-9440}}, journal = {{Progress in Organic Coatings}}, title = {{{Self-lubricating coatings via PDMS micro-gel dispersions}}}, doi = {{10.1016/j.porgcoat.2020.105705}}, year = {{2020}}, } @article{41819, abstract = {{AbstractBlock copolymers were prepared with two anionic polyelectrolyte blocks: sodium polyacrylate (PA) and sodium polystyrene sulfonate (PSS), in order to investigate their phase behavior in aqueous solution in the presence of Ca2+ cations.
