abstract = {{This research article addresses the critical gap in describing human capabilities for assembly, disassembly and reassembly processes in production systems at a granular level. As circular economy principles become essential in manufacturing, understanding production-centered capabilityr equirements is increasingly vital. While most metadata models focus on technical resources, existing human capability models either focus narrowly on human-robot collaboration or lack integration across diverse capability dimensions. This study conducts a systematic literature review following the PRISMA scheme, examining different scientific databases to develop a comprehensive, production-centered metadata model. The resulting model formalizes three fundamental classes as well as two supplemental classes for describing human resources while incorporating knowledge and possible legal requirements essential for production environments. The present article proposes a holistic integration of capabilities from a human factor perspective, with the objective of facilitating data science and artificial intelligence approaches to inform decisions in the product creation process. The developed metadata model provides the foundation for decision support systems that match human capabilities to specific production tasks and requirements, advancing circular manufacturing practices and sustainable production system design.}},

We specify a Grid of Processing Cells (GPC) with two non-trivial software applications and successively generate and validate the hardware models at lower abstraction levels, namely TLM, ISS, RTL, and FPGA. Our comprehensive experimental evaluation of a physical implementation on an FPGA shows the true scalability of the GPC architecture.
Social media is integral to adolescents’ daily lives and plays an important role in their health- and fitness-related behavior, particularly through trends such as #fitspiration, a portmanteau of “fit” and “inspiration.” This trend has become a prominent aspect of adolescents’ fitness culture. Empirical studies demonstrate that while #fitspiration holds the potential to motivate adolescents to be physically active, it also perpetuates gender-stereotyped, predominantly White, ableist, and normative body ideals associated with fitness and an idealized weight. This trend can be linked to an increased risk of body image concerns or disordered eating among adolescents. Understanding adolescents’ engagement with fitspiration content is crucial for tailoring health and media literacy education within physical education. Therefore, a systematic review of qualitative and quantitative studies was conducted. A search of five electronic databases yielded 312 abstracts, of which 12 met the inclusion criteria. The analysis of the selected studies was based on thematic analysis and included both primary and secondary data. Seven analytical themes emerged: (1) 37–56% of adolescents actively engage with fitspiration content on social media; (2) it fulfills their need for informal and accessible participation; (3) it fosters a sense of social connection; (4) they derive inspiration from peers and influencers; (5) they aspire to idealized body standards; (6) they seek quick solutions when dissatisfied with their bodies; and (7) a few become demotivated and critical when unable to achieve these ideals. Consequently, educators should balance the potential benefits with media literacy interventions to mitigate risks such as body image issues and eating disorders.
}},

Our purpose is to reflect on the benefits and limitations of video recall compared to another self-report method, ‘thinking-aloud’. To do so, we reveal empirical results from the application of video recall in three interdisciplinary research projects that applied the method for the qualitative and quantitative assessment of cognitive and behavioral phenomena in everyday explanations. In all three projects, video recall was applied as a post-hoc procedure following the recording of dyadic face-to-face explanations of board games. The design of the video recall procedure differed between individual projects because they pursued different research objectives – that is the investigation of (1) an interlocutor's multimodal signals of understanding, (2) the change in assumptions about an interlocutor's dispositional and situational knowledge, and (3) the differentiated assessment of an interlocutor's developing understanding of domain knowledge aspects by distinguishing between mechanistic and functional explanatory stances. By discussing the benefits and the limitations of each procedure, this article provides critical reflections on video recall as a versatile research method applied for the analysis of human multimodal behavior in interaction and cognitive processing.}},

Micropollution is an ever‐increasing concern to human health and wildlife caused by population growth, industrialization, and intensive agriculture. An example of such micropollutants are natural and synthetic estrogen hormones. They are found everywhere in the aquatic environment at very low but dangerous concentrations. In this article, we demonstrate a supramolecular design principle for adsorption of such low‐concentrated estrogens onto tailored superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs) enabling efficient magnetic water cleaning. We facilitate the adsorption by tuning the SPION surface with a binary self‐assembled monolayer (SAM) composed of two phosphonic acid derivatives: one serving as hydrophobic interaction site and the other improving water dispersibility of the system. Next to validating the concept in real river water, we conclude the demonstration of our nanomaterials by unveiling the estrogen‐SAM interaction at dilute conditions via synergistic combination of model systems, characterization techniques, and simulation. We experimentally deduce tight binding of estrogens combined with simulations that identify different, dynamic adsorption motifs at molecular space and time scale including a rare intercalation state, in which the hydrophobic pollutants minimize their contact to water. We believe that beyond our materials, these insights on the pollutant‐adsorbent interface underline the importance and potential of rational, molecular‐scale design of nano‐adsorbents.
}},

abstract = {{We investigate banks' risk-taking and deposit flows around first-time going concern opinions (GCOs). While GCOs may strengthen market monitoring, they are also often suspected of destabilizing banks by triggering depositor runs. Our evidence is difficult to reconcile with that concern. Uninsured deposits begin to decline several quarters before the GCO, while insured deposits increase over the same period, leaving total deposits broadly stable around the opinion. This pattern suggests that more sophisticated depositors respond to timelier information than the annual audit report and shift from uninsured to insured funding before the GCO becomes public, whereas insured retail depositors do not exhibit large-scale withdrawals around the GCO. We also document that bank risk measures rise in the quarters leading up to the GCO and then stabilize and subsequently decline after the opinion. In addition, severe enforcement actions become more likely in the post-GCO period. Taken together, these patterns are consistent with an indirect supervisory channel that may help interpret the post-GCO change in risk-taking. Overall, our findings suggest that concerns about GCOs precipitating depositor runs may be overstated in the banking setting and that systematic auditor forbearance is not clearly justified on financial stability grounds.}},

Using hand-collected data on acquired intangible assets net amounts and their impairments, we exploit the different determinants of finite and indefinite intangible assets and goodwill to explore how impairment practices differ across categories. While indefinite intangible asset and goodwill impairments are largely explained by reporting quality indicators, we find only weak evidence between reporting quality and finite intangible asset impairments. In contrast, finite intangible asset impairments are explained by deteriorating business characteristics. Internal monitoring mechanisms strongly moderate the likelihood of timely impairments for indefinite intangibles and goodwill for firms that face impairment pressure, indicating the role of corporate governance in enhancing reporting quality. Our results are relevant for policymakers as they consider proposals to subsume intangible assets into goodwill as well as modifying impairment test procedures. }},

abstract = {{Computing-in-Memory using DRAM (CIMD) has demonstrated substantial energy and throughput gains for memory-bound workloads consisting of bulk-bitwise operations, by performing computation directly within DRAM subarrays. Realizing CIMD, however, requires a redesign of the memory controller and careful mapping of operands onto the memory arrays. Presently, accurate FPGA-based testbeds exist but they are costly and labor-intensive, while open-source simulators are largely trace-based and cannot execute full application runs. The only full-application CIMD simulator available, included with MIMDRAM [1], is built on an outdated version of gem5 and its toolchains. We present gem5-CIMD, a full-system CIMD simulation framework built on the latest gem5 simulation framework. We extend the simulated instruction set from four bitwise operations to sixteen CIM instructions spanning arithmetic, relational, conditional, and utility operations across a range of data types and bitwidths (4 to 64 bits) . A complete memory-management stack – comprising multi-level huge-page support, a CIM-aware allocator, and a subarray-aware address-mapping scheme – ensures that CIM operands are co-located in the same DRAM subarray. In addition, gem5-CIMD is aware of the DRAM refresh interval and faithfully models and schedules the mandatory refresh operations when needed. We provide a CIM standard library intended as a compiler target and evaluate gem5-CIMD on multiple case studies including an end-to-end KNN workload. The simulator sources, including the evaluated workloads, are available at https://github.com/tud-ccc/gem5-CIMD.}},
