abstract = {{One of the major topics in the modern automotive industry is reducing emissions and increasing the mileage
range. To tackle this challenge, on the one hand, modifying the powertrain system is a possibility, and on the
other hand, lightweight design offers various possibilities. Multi-Material Design (MMD) involves designing car
bodies that combine different materials that require joining. Given the variety of materials, mechanical joining
processes are preferred. Especially the current development of the Giga/Mega-casting process concerning
aluminium casting and the subsequent mechanical joining illustrates the challenges of this material group. In car
production, aluminium castings are mainly made from aluminium-silicon (AlSi) alloys. Ultimately, the alloy
system's insufficient ductility leads to crack initiation during mechanical joining. Cast parts are therefore often
used in areas of the car body that are exposed to high-pressure loads. For example, self-piercing riveting (SPR) is
used due to its high load-bearing capacity. In this study, improved joinability is demonstrated by influencing the
microstructure through tailored solidification rates and a developed heat-treatment chain strategy adapted for
hypoeutectic AlSi systems. Data on microstructure, mechanical, and joining properties are used to develop a
solidification-joining correlation for the SPR process across a range of Si contents and solidification rates. The
purpose is to develop the ability to produce suitable aluminium castings with sufficient joinability, thereby
improving versatility.}},

abstract = {{Grocery retailers frequently apply price discounts to stimulate demand for expiring perishables. However, integrating these discounted sales into future demand forecasts presents a significant challenge. This study investigates the effectiveness of incorporating a fixed share of these sales as \textit{regular} demand into the forecast, as commonly applied in practice. We employ a two-step regression approach on data from a major European grocery retailer, covering over 1,700 products across 676 stores. We reveal that forecasts underestimate actual demand for most SKUs when discounted sales occur. This residual uplift effect is significantly influenced by the number of sales at reduced prices. Our findings underscore the necessity for more precise approaches to integrate discounted sales into demand forecasts, thereby preventing excess inventory and the associated economic and environmental impacts of spoilage in the grocery sector.}},

abstract = {{Rubber-metal bushings (RMB) are critical components in multi-body systems, such as vehicles and industrial machinery, due to their ability to enable relative motion, dampen vibrations, and transmit forces. However, their nonlinear behavior challenges accurate modeling. Traditional physics-based models often fail to balance simplicity, accuracy, and computational efficiency. The growing availability of experimental data offers opportunities to improve RMB modeling through hybrid and data-driven approaches. This study evaluates physics-based, hybrid, and data-driven methods based on predictive accuracy, modeling effort, and computational cost. Hybrid approaches, combining machine learning techniques with physics-based models, are investigated to leverage their complementary strengths. Results show that hybrid methods enhance accuracy for simpler models with a modest increase in computational time. This highlights their potential to simplify RMB modeling while balancing accuracy and efficiency, offering insights for advancing multi-body system simulations. Building on these insights, data-driven methods are explored for their ability to provide surrogate models for dynamical systems without requiring expert knowledge. Experiments reveal that while simple data-driven methods approximate system behavior when data has low variance, they fail with trajectories of widely varying frequency and amplitude.}},

abstract = {{This paper describes the development of a method concept for the mechanical characterisation of cathodic electrodeposition (CED) coatings in the context of adhesively bonded joints. The objective is to determine mechanical properties of coating layer in order to incorporate its influence into numerical simulation models for load-bearing adhesive joints. For this purpose, both single-lap joints (SLJ) and modified thick adherend shear specimens (TASS) with defined CED coating layers were produced and tested under quasi-static loading conditions. Additionally, the deposition process was analysed in terms of coating thickness evolution as a function of deposition time and applied voltage. The specimens were pre-cured to reduce gas inclusions from evaporating solvents in the CED coating layer. The pre-curing temperature was determined using DSC. The results indicate that the modified TASS configuration is particularly suited for the reproducible evaluation of the shear load-bearing capacity. In comparison to the SLJ, it favours the degassing of solvents through the installation of grooves. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that gas-induced defect zones originating from the electrochemical deposition process significantly compromise joint performance. The experimental and process methodology developed in this study enables isolated characterisation of the coating layer and provides a solid foundation for simulation of coated adhesive joints.}},

  abstract     = {{
This article investigates the persistence and transformation of Andrew Tate’s presence on YouTube following the removal of his official channels in August 2022. Combining two empirical approaches—a small-scale analysis of top-ranked videos from YouTube search results in 2022 and 2024, and a large-scale data set of over 112k videos—we examine how Tate-related content continues to circulate and how the platform moderates such material. Our findings show that Tate remains highly visible through a diffuse and decentralized network of actors who repackage his messaging into interviews, remixes, and YouTube-native formats. This configuration produces what we term the “Tate-space”: an ambient ideological environment where motivational rhetoric, aspirational masculinity, and far-right talking points converge. We find that YouTube’s substantial moderation efforts are outpaced by the speed and scale of recommendation-driven circulation and that deplatforming, while symbolically significant, fails to disrupt the cultural and logistical dynamics that sustain Tate’s influence.
}},

abstract = {{We study a block mean-field Ising model with $N$ spins split into $s_N$ blocks, with Curie-Weiss interaction within blocks and nearest-neighbor coupling between blocks. While previous models deal with the block magnetization for a fixed number of blocks, we study the the simultaneous limit $N\to\infty$ and $s_N\to\infty$. The model interpolates between Curie-Weiss model for $s_N=1$, multi-species mean field for fixed $s_N=s$, and the 1D Ising model for each spin in its own block at $s_N=N$.
Under mild growth conditions on $s_N$, we prove a law of large numbers and a multivariate CLT with covariance given by the lattice Green's function. For instance, the high temperature CLT essentially covers the optimal range up to $s_N=o(N/(\log N)^c)$ and the low temperature regime is new even for fixed number of blocks $s > 2$. In addition to the standard competition between entropy and energy, a new obstacle in the proofs is a curse of dimensionality as $s_N \to \infty$.}},
