abstract = {{We prove quantitative lower bounds on the semidefinite extension complexity of the set of separable quantum states on $\mathbb{C}^d\otimes\mathbb{C}^d$. We consider semidefinite programs (SDPs) that approximate the maximum acceptance probability of a measurement over separable states, the optimization problem underlying QMA(2). In the extended-formulation model of Harrow, Natarajan, and Wu (HNW), all measurements share a common feasible region and an objective-independent embedding of product states that exactly reproduces their acceptance probabilities. For every $0<θ<2/7$, there are constants $c_θ,a_θ>0$ such that, for sufficiently large $d$, any such SDP with uniform additive error $0<a\le a_θ$ has size at least $d^{c_θ\min\{a^{-1/3},d^θ\}}$. The bound applies at sufficiently small constant error, is superpolynomial in $d$ whenever $a=o(1)$, and becomes $d^{Ω(d^θ)}$ when $a\le d^{-3θ}$, improving HNW's quasipolynomial bound at inverse- square error. The same bound holds for any SDP-representable convex set of states that contains all separable states and lies within trace distance $a$ of them, giving a quantitative counterpart to Fawzi's theorem that the separable set has no exact semidefinite representation. Our proof combines the quantitative pseudo-density theorem of Lee, Raghavendra, and Steurer with explicit block-positive operators and Chebyshev amplification. Our main results are supported by Lean proofs.}},

abstract = {{A weighted dynamical version $\mathbf{Z}_f$ of the classical Ihara zeta function is presented on connected finite regular graphs, expressed in terms of weighted periodic orbit data. We establish its meromorphic continuation, with poles given by the resonances of the associated non-backtracking transfer operator acting on a suitable Banach space, and compute its residues. At simple spectral parameters, the residue of $\mathbf{Z}_f$ is identified with the invariant Ruelle distribution on the graph phase space. Combining this result with a relation obtained by Arends-Palmirotta, we further derive Patterson-Sullivan and Wigner residue formulae. This provides a finite-graph analogue of residue formulae for weighted dynamical zeta functions for geodesic flow on rank one locally symmetric spaces, in the spirit of Schütte-Barkhofen-Weich.}},

  abstract     = {{
Optimization algorithms contain parameters that greatly influence their behavior. Finding the right settings for parameters through automated algorithm configuration has become a critical component of designing competitive algorithms. While traditional offline configurators tackle this problem by finding one configuration that works well for a set of instances, instance-specific algorithm configuration utilizes features of the instances to provide configurations that are tailored to each instance to maximize performance. We propose the first instance-specific algorithm configurator based on deep reinforcement learning that can be used in general algorithm configuration settings. Our method is able to handle large, mixed, discrete and continuous search spaces and only requires a small number of instances for training. Not only does it select an individual configuration for every instance, it also selects configurations from a much broader range. We show that our configurator provides improvements over the state-of-the-art instance-specific configurators ISAC++ and Hydra on a wide range of problem domains.
}},

abstract = {{he recent surge of interest in eXplainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) has led to a growing focus on incorporating social insights into XAI and grounding explainability in social interaction. This has given rise to the concept of Social XAI. However, ontological modelling of the Social XAI framework remains limited. In particular, there is a lack of models that capture the progressivity of explanation processes in terms of the changes that occur. This paper introduces the Social XAI Ontology, a BFO-based reference ontology. The ontology models a variety of entities involved in the process of explanation. First, it provides a model of the participants in explanatory dialogues, such as artificial explainers and human explainees, and the roles they may take. Then, it introduces a rich set of explanatory moves that explainers and explainees perform. The paper further presents ontological accounts of four types of context that are central to real-world Social XAI projects. Furthermore, it provides an ontological account of different dimensions of adaptivity, which is considered to be an essential prerequisite for realizing Social XAI systems. Finally, the paper revisits two existing models of understanding in Social XAI by applying a recent theory of change. The paper concludes by discussing use cases for the Social XAI Ontology.}},

abstract = {{Efficient thermal management in vehicles is becoming increasingly critical due to stricter energy efficiency requirements and rising passenger expectations for comfort. Conventional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems rely on numerous air outlet temperature sensors, which add significant costs at scale. This study introduces a hybrid virtual sensor concept that combines physics-based mathematical modeling with data-driven methods to address this challenge. A detailed physical model predicts air outlet temperatures, while neural networks capture unmodeled heat exchanges and environmental disturbances. Two hybrid strategies are explored: one augments the physical model with a neural network to learn residual heat flows, and the other employs an adiabatic physical model enhanced by a neural network that maps the total environmental heat exchange, supported by a disturbance observer for accurate heat flow estimation. Evaluation using measurement data from a real test vehicle in a simplified two-vent scenario demonstrates that hybrid virtual sensors can provide reliable temperature estimates, reduce reliance on hardware sensors, and maintain high control performance, highlighting the potential of integrating physics-based and machine learning methods in vehicle climate control systems.}},

abstract = {{Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) challenges core concepts in service science by blurring boundaries among resources, actors, and beneficiaries. Using service-dominant logic (SDL) as a theoretical lens, we review the distinctive properties of these concepts, introduce the agent concept into SDL, and analyze GenAI’s precise role in service exchange processes. We employ a two-phase research approach: First, we conduct a systematic literature review to derive defining properties of resources, actors, beneficiaries, and agents. We then assess eight contemporary GenAI systems against these properties. Our evidence indicates that GenAI is best understood as an operant resource and, depending on design and context, as an actor and agent. Conversely, GenAI does not qualify as a beneficiary, as it is neither individually capable of phenomenologically experiencing and determining value nor a social system of individuals with such capacities. Our findings propose an update to SDL’s core concepts and understanding, as well as a nuanced conceptual clarification of GenAI’s role, offering guidance for researchers and practitioners seeking to understand and design service interactions that incorporate GenAI.}},
