abstract = {{Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) challenges core concepts in service science by blurring boundaries among resources, actors, and beneficiaries. Using service-dominant logic (SDL) as a theoretical lens, we review the distinctive properties of these concepts, introduce the agent concept into SDL, and analyze GenAI’s precise role in service exchange processes. We employ a two-phase research approach: First, we conduct a systematic literature review to derive defining properties of resources, actors, beneficiaries, and agents. We then assess eight contemporary GenAI systems against these properties. Our evidence indicates that GenAI is best understood as an operant resource and, depending on design and context, as an actor and agent. Conversely, GenAI does not qualify as a beneficiary, as it is neither individually capable of phenomenologically experiencing and determining value nor a social system of individuals with such capacities. Our findings propose an update to SDL’s core concepts and understanding, as well as a nuanced conceptual clarification of GenAI’s role, offering guidance for researchers and practitioners seeking to understand and design service interactions that incorporate GenAI.}},

abstract = {{Business Process Management (BPM) is evolving rapidly. Building on a rich research portfolio that spans from early workflow automation to robotic process automation (RPA), large language models (LLMs) are the most recent disruptive technologies to influence all BPM capability areas. Particularly, these technologies fuel the emerging research fields of AI-enhanced business process management systems and autonomous process execution. In a design science research approach, we develop a modular LLM agent architecture that effectively enables the adaptation and execution of business processes. The architecture integrates a Frame Agent that can generate process descriptions and an Operational Agent that autonomously executes processes based on the Frame Agent’s process descriptions. It further enables a future Tactical Agent for autonomous process adaptations. We demonstrate the architecture’s applicability and utility with the real-world case of a meter-to-cash process, comparing it to the performance of an RPA bot. Our findings provide early insights into the challenges faced by autonomous process execution and its relation with RPA in terms of adaptability, flexibility, and complexity in autonomous process execution. While researchers can build on our findings to establish modular LLM-agent architectures for autonomous process execution, practitioners can derive early insights into the design of LLM agents for process automation.}},

abstract = {{The European sustainable finance framework targets large corporations but also affects small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This paper examines how European SMEs engage with sustainable finance, focusing on financing channels, use of green and capital market financing, and integration into sustainability reporting, including costs and relevance of data collection.Internal funds, traditional bank loans, and public funding programmes are the main instruments for financing SME sustainability, while capital market financing and green instruments are largely irrelevant. Traditional banking relationships continue as the primary external financing source. Many SMEs invest in sustainability without systematically collecting or reporting ESG data. Costs for sustainability reporting and ESG data collection in micro and small enterprises remain consistent with previous estimates. Despite growing “noise” around sustainable finance as a lever for the green transition, capital market financing and dedicated green finance instruments remain largely irrelevant for SMEs. Sustainability reporting is mainly driven through value chains rather than banks, indicating that market demand, not financial instruments, drives SME sustainability investment.}},

abstract = {{The quadratic sieve (QS) is an irregular, cache-hostile, branch-heavy integer factorization algorithm; prior GPU work accelerates individual stages of it. We present \swname{}, a self-initializing quadratic sieve in which \emph{every} stage --- polynomial initialization, sieving, relation post-processing, large-prime matching, \GFtwo{} matrix construction, Block Wiedemann linear algebra and the square root --- executes on the GPU, the CPU restricted to orchestration, setup and I/O, the sieve window 99.9\% GPU-busy with no device-wide or event synchronization and no synchronous copy. With it we factored the 512-bit RSA-155 challenge modulus end to end on GPUs: a 64$\times$H100 sieve feeding a single-H100 \GFtwo{} solve, 700.6~GPU-h and 242~kWh in total, 98.4\% of it sieving. To our knowledge this is the largest integer factored by the quadratic sieve, exceeding the prior QS record RSA-150 (Buhrow, YAFU, 2025); all comparable general factorizations since 1996, RSA-155's own in 1999 included, used the number field sieve. On a single device we factor RSA-100 in 29.2~s on an H100 and 51.0~s on a consumer RTX~5070~Ti; in a controlled same-modulus measurement, with energy measured on both sides, the H100 is faster than the fastest CPU quadratic sieve, YAFU, on 96 cores of an EPYC~9655 (106--122~s), and than CADO-NFS's SIQS (292~s) and GNFS (263~s). Across four discrete GPUs (a 3.7$\times$ range in CUDA cores) RSA-100 throughput is close to proportional to core count, memory bandwidth being a weaker predictor, and measured cost over seven benchmark factorizations from RSA-100 to RSA-155 grows as $\LN{1/2}{1}^{1.04}$ ($R^2=0.993$). On RSA-150, the identical modulus on which the prior QS record was set, we measure 302.9~GPU-h against that run's 11{,}664 core-hours.}},

  abstract     = {{
}},

data beyond their own boundaries. Coopetition, i.e., simultaneous cooperation and competition, is an
important dynamic within data ecosystems that must be understood and managed well to leverage the
non-rivalrous nature of data. A systematic literature review of 38 peer-reviewed studies on ecosystems
and coopetition was conducted to clarify how coopetition affects data ecosystems. Using qualitative
content analysis, the study summarizes how coopetition is calibrated, what results it produces, and what
challenges are associated with it. The resulting Data Ecosystem Coopetition (DECo) model specifies
four management levers, as well as the associated outcomes and common challenges. In addition, six
cycles were identified that link levers, challenges, and outcomes. These cycles provide concise guidance
on elements that tend to vary together and highlight areas that are prone to specific tensions.}},

Data spaces provide a federated infrastructure for sovereign data sharing, but SME participation remains limited due to complex onboarding processes involving technical, organizational, legal, and economic barriers. Data trustees have been proposed as intermediaries to facilitate data sharing, but their specific role in supporting SME onboarding has not been systematically explored. Here we present a reference process for SME data space onboarding and derive four design principles, structured along the TELO framework, describing how data trustees can address these barriers. Our findings reveal that SMEs require comprehensive support throughout the onboarding journey, with particular emphasis on business case development. The results offer actionable guidance for data space operators and policymakers seeking to broaden ecosystem participation as the European Union advances its data strategy.}},
