abstract = {{Data ecosystems offer new opportunities for value creation by enabling companies to combine and reuse
data beyond their own boundaries. Coopetition, i.e., simultaneous cooperation and competition, is an
important dynamic within data ecosystems that must be understood and managed well to leverage the
non-rivalrous nature of data. A systematic literature review of 38 peer-reviewed studies on ecosystems
and coopetition was conducted to clarify how coopetition affects data ecosystems. Using qualitative
content analysis, the study summarizes how coopetition is calibrated, what results it produces, and what
challenges are associated with it. The resulting Data Ecosystem Coopetition (DECo) model specifies
four management levers, as well as the associated outcomes and common challenges. In addition, six
cycles were identified that link levers, challenges, and outcomes. These cycles provide concise guidance
on elements that tend to vary together and highlight areas that are prone to specific tensions.}},

Data spaces provide a federated infrastructure for sovereign data sharing, but SME participation remains limited due to complex onboarding processes involving technical, organizational, legal, and economic barriers. Data trustees have been proposed as intermediaries to facilitate data sharing, but their specific role in supporting SME onboarding has not been systematically explored. Here we present a reference process for SME data space onboarding and derive four design principles, structured along the TELO framework, describing how data trustees can address these barriers. Our findings reveal that SMEs require comprehensive support throughout the onboarding journey, with particular emphasis on business case development. The results offer actionable guidance for data space operators and policymakers seeking to broaden ecosystem participation as the European Union advances its data strategy.}},

However, their adoption faces significant challenges, particularly the lack of proven business models that encourage participation and value creation. A data space business model captures value differently than either traditional business models or platform business models. This paper addresses this challenge by developing the Data Space Canvas, a structured framework for designing and aligning business models in data spaces consisting of nine building blocks. The canvas was developed following the design science research methodology. The modular and role-specific structure of the Data Space Canvas facilitates shared understanding and supports business model development across participants. This research contributes a practical tool that enables organizations to conceptualize, communicate, and refine their role and business model in data spaces.}},

abstract = {{In mechanical joining, a wide variety of tool geometries and rivet types have been developed to meet different requirements. For example, this is due to the mechanical properties of sheet materials and the increasing number of material combinations that require joining. However, to address rising costs and sustainability demands or to react to supply chain disruptions, versatile joining processes are needed to reduce the amount of joining equipment required by adapting the process to the joining task. This study examines the influence of punch velocity on the clinching and semi-tubular self-piercing riveting processes, as well as on the binding mechanisms, joint's geometric parameters, and joint properties. The aim is to determine the relevant range of punch velocities based on material properties, such as strain rate dependence, and to assess whether punch velocity can be utilized as a control variable for versatile joining processes. To this aim, similar joints made of steel (HCT590X+Z), aluminum (EN AW-6014), and mixed joints of these materials are examined. The resulting joining forces are analyzed using force-displacement curves to evaluate the influence on the joining process. The form closure is examined using micrographs of the joints' geometric parameters. To characterize the force closure, the connection resistance is measured using the four-wire sensing method, and the load-bearing capacity is determined via a shear tensile test.}},

Single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD) revealed an isoreticular, expanded MIL-91 type structure, representing a rare case of isoreticular expansion in porous metal phosphonates. The framework structure was confirmed by Rietveld refinement against powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) data and further validated by solid-state NMR spectroscopy (31P MAS, 27Al 3Q MAS). Solvent-exchange experiments and variable-humidity/temperature PXRD data revealed high framework flexibility. abstract = {{The increasing demand for advanced sensing technologies drives the development of chemical sensors using innovative materials. In gas sensing, optical sensors are often used to detect gases such as CO, NOx, and O2. Oxygen sensors typically incorporate dyes into oxygen-permeable matrices like polymers, silica, or zeolites. Alternatively, semiconductor surface chemistry can enable O2 detection. However, these approaches are often limited by slow response and recovery times and low selectivity, restricting their practical applications. The metal-organic framework MOF-76(Eu) and its yttrium-modified variant, MOF-76(Eu/Y) are reported to exhibit highly reversible and fast optical responses to varying O2 concentrations. Time-resolved emission measurements are performed over short (seconds) and long (hours) timescales using N2 and synthetic air mixtures. Cross-sensitivity to humidity is analyzed. Multichannel scaling photon-counting experiments confirm quenching at the linker level, as the emission lifetime remains nearly constant. Yttrium significantly improves stability and performance at room temperature. Structural and optical changes induced by yttrium are investigated. Additionally, MIL-78(Eu), another Eu-BTC-based MOF with a different coordination environment, is synthesized. Unlike MOF-76(Eu), MIL-78(Eu) exhibits distinct optical properties but lacks a reversible response to O2. These results highlight the potential of MOF-76-based materials for high-performance O2 sensing.}},

Gray-Box-Modelle verbinden beide Paradigmen.

abstract = {{Predictive Maintenance is a key element of data-driven maintenance strategies in Industry 4.0. It promises improved asset availability and operational efficiency. In addition to data analytics and machine learning, simulation-based assessment and digital representations of production systems increasingly complement Predictive Maintenance by enabling the evaluation of maintenance decisions and failure risks before physical intervention. However, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) often face challenges in realizing these benefits due to insufficient employee competencies across all domains. As a prerequisite, a clear understanding of competency gaps that hinder employees to use relevant key technologies such as artificial intelligence and data analytics is needed. This paper presents competency profiles that define relevant competencies for the use of simulation-based Predictive Maintenance and map these competencies to relevant roles that need them. The study is based on a systematic literature review about competencies for digitalization processes in industry focusing on maintenance and, more specifically, data technologies in maintenance. The competency profile is validated through a Delphi-Study with industry representatives assessing the identified competency levels. The results support a more holistic understanding of Predictive Maintenance and provide guidance for targeted competency development in SMEs.}},

abstract = {{Taking pupils’ diverse needs into account is considered a central requirement of inclusive education (Booth & Ainscow, 2016). These needs are—according to Ainscow’s (2007) inclusive turn—not primarily ‘special educational needs’, but diverse needs of all learners. For the rather segregated German educational system, this endeavour applies especially to primary education, where needs are still developing and pupils are not yet assigned to different types of schooling according to their needs and abilities.

Despite a substantial amount of research on pupils’ basic psychological needs for autonomy, competence and social relatedness (Ryan et al., 2022), strategies that technology education teachers apply in this regard are not yet well understood. Besides interventional studies on technology education, indicating effectiveness of self‑directed and action‑oriented teaching and learning, there is a dearth of research on how teachers address different needs as a routine.

The purpose of the presented study is therefore to investigate and systematize actions and strategies teachers apply, and to specify how pupils' needs are considered when teaching technology education on a given topic.

The overall study used a mixed-methods approach to the question how pupils’ needs are characterized by themselves and by their teachers, and how they were taken into account in a lesson adapted and delivered by the teachers. In the sub-study presented here, participating primary school teachers were interviewed about their consideration of pupils’ needs whilst planning and conducting a technology education unit on the functionality of robots.

The results gained from qualitative content analysis of the interviews indicate that although the anticipation of different needs is considered challenging, teachers possess a substantiate amount of practices and strategies to take them into account.

The paper systematizes the practices teachers described in structured interviews within strategies and discusses the contribution of taking basic needs into account for inclusive technology education.}},

DNA origami nanostructures (DONs) have promising applications in biomedicine and biosensing, which often require their efficient binding to target cells. By immobilizing the glycopeptide antibiotic vancomycin on DONs, DON binding to Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria can be facilitated. Here, we investigate how this multivalent binding is affected by the number and arrangement of the vancomycin modifications on two‐dimensional DONs. We find that for both Gram‐positive

, binding increases with the number of vancomycin modifications per DON. In general, binding to
                    E. coli
                    is stronger than to

, which may be attributed to differences in the architectures of the cell envelopes. Interestingly, for both bacteria, the total number of vancomycin modifications appears to be more important than their arrangement, as DONs with 18 vancomycin molecules on one side show similar binding as DONs with 18 vancomycin molecules distributed over both sides. This enables the attachment of multiple probe molecules to the vancomycin‐free side of the DONs for enhancing detection efficiency without compromising binding affinity. These results may thus provide guidelines for the design and synthesis of vancomycin‐modified DONs for antimicrobial drug delivery and pathogen detection.
