To this end, requirements for a uniform depiction are defined and a procedure for drawing entry is presented. The drawing entry should contain all production-relevant support structure information. The standardized documentation of support structure information in technical drawings is intended to ensure a simple, clear and safe exchange of information between business units or different companies along the value chain. As a result a possible drawing entry of support structures was developed. To distinguish between different support structure types, a standardized depiction of geometrical information in a specification field is shown. The specification field gives a detailed description of the support structure type, the geometry as well as the connection to the part and the building platform. Also uncommon support types like lattice structures or CAD based support structures can be implemented. Coupling the chemistries of flame, solvent, and gas-phase species initially formed from the particle precursor in combination with the complex flow geometry of the spray flame means a special challenge for the modeling of the reaction processes. A new burner has been developed that is capable to observe the reaction of precursor solutions frequently used in spray-flame synthesis. The burner provides an almost flat, laminar, and steady flame with homogeneous addition of a fine aerosol and thus enables detailed investigation and modeling of the coupled reactions inde-pendent of spray formation and turbulent mixing. With its two separate supply channel matrices, the burner also enables the use of reactants that would otherwise react with each other already before reaching the flame. These features enable the investigation of a wide range of flame-based synthesis methods for nanoparticles and, due to the flat-flame geometry, kinetics models for these processes can be developed and validated. This work describes the matrix burner development and its gas flow optimization by simulation. Droplet-size dis-tributions generated by ultrasonic nebulization and their interaction with the burner structure are investigated by phase-Doppler anemometry. As an example for nanoparticle-for ming flames from solutions, iron-oxide nanoparticle-generating flames using iron(III) nitrate nonahydrate dissolved in 1-butanol were investigated. This effort includes measurements of two-dimensional maps of the flame temperature by a thermocouple and height-dependent concentration profiles of the main species by time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Exper-imental data are compared with 1D simulations using a reduced reaction mechanism. These compounds and smaller aromatic flame constituents, such as benzene, toluene and naphthalene can be detected by flame-sampling molecular beam mass spectrometry (MBMS). They are readily ionized by photoionization with UV light, either in resonant or non-resonant ionization processes. The multiphoton ionization of benzene, toluene, and styrene with MBMS detection was investigated as a function of laser power and wavelength and the quantitative relation between ion signal and mole fractions in the flames was established. These measurements were prerequisites for the measurement of quantitative mole fraction profiles of these species in flames of various fuels. In addition, the measurements provide relative mole fraction profiles of various other aromatic flame species. The results are compared to measurements of aromatics in butadiene, propyne, and allene flames by single-photon ionization with vacuum ultraviolet radiation from a synchrotron source and other literature data. These applications require state-of-the-art engineering to reach optimized functionalities such as high directivity and radiation efficiency, low sidelobe levels, broadband and tunable capabilities, and compact design. In this work, we report on the numerical optimization of the directivity of optical traveling wave antennas made from low-loss dielectric materials using full-wave numerical simulations in conjunction with the particle swarm optimization algorithm. The antennas are composed of a reflector and a director deposited on a glass substrate, and an emitter placed in the feed gap between them serves as an internal source of excitation. In particular, we analyze antennas with rectangular- and horn-shaped directors made of either hafnium dioxide or silicon. The optimized antennas produce highly directional emissions due to the presence of two dominant guided TE modes in the director in addition to leaky modes. These guided modes dominate the far-field emission pattern and govern the direction of the main lobe emission, which predominately originates from the end facet of the director. The problem is solved numerically for absorbing structures with irregular constituents, cubes, spheres, and ellipsoids larger than the wavelength of incident light. Our simulations show that double scattering between two random irregular particles shows weak NP. Adding one more particle significantly increases the relative contribution of double scattering which enhances NP. While traditional hedonic house pricing models are fed with hard information based on housing attributes, recently also soft information has been incorporated to increase the predictive performance. This soft information can be extracted from image data by complex models like Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs). However, these are intransparent which excludes their use for high-stakes financial decisions. To overcome this limitation, we examine if a two-stage modeling approach can provide explainability. We combine visual interpretability by Regression Activation Maps (RAM) for the CNN and a linear regression for the overall prediction. Our experiments are based on 62.000 family homes in Philadelphia and the results indicate that the CNN learns aspects related to vegetation and quality aspects of the house from exterior images, improving the predictive accuracy of real estate appraisal by up to 5.4%."}],"year":"2022","type":"conference","citation":{"apa":"Kucklick, J.-P. One of the most important factors of a property’s value is its location. However, creating accurate quantifications of location remains a challenge. While traditional approaches rely on Geographical Information Systems (GIS), recently unstructured data in form of images was incorporated in the appraisal process, but text data remains an untapped reservoir. Our study shows that using text data in form of geolocated Wikipedia articles can increase predictive performance over traditional GIS-based methods by 8.2% in spatial out-of-sample validation. Die Implementation eines neuen Übungsformats (Präsenzübungen) in den Fachvorlesungen sowie die Unterstützung der Studierenden im Bereich des selbstregulierten Lernens zeigen positive Effekte in einer erhöhten Teilnahmequote sowie Zufriedenheit der Studierenden mit der Veranstaltung, in einem aktiveren Arbeitsverhalten sowie einer höheren Bestehensquote der Klausur. Ein messbar größerer Fachwissenserwerb konnte nicht nachgewiesen werden. Renewable energy producers with stochastic outputs and no\r\nvariable costs compete against conventional energy producers with deterministic, pollutant\r\noutputs and increasing marginal costs. We find that either market forces are strong enough\r\nto serve the entire demand, or they are too weak such that the market fails and nothing is\r\nproduced. This crucially depends on the relative cost of renewable energy investments, such\r\nthat relatively cheap renewable energy causes the market to fail. Welfare analyses show that\r\nwith increasing levels of conventional energy pollution the ability of the market to produce\r\nan e\u001ecient outcome further declines. As a policy implication, our findings refute the use of\r\na strategic reserve as a blackout backstop solution. Here, existing approaches and tools do not focus on the company’s situation in which the development takes place (e.g., financial resources, product type). To tackle this challenge, we used design science research to develop a situation-specific business model development approach that contains three stages: First, existing knowledge in terms of tasks to do (e.g., analyze competitive advantage), and decisions to be made (e.g., social media marketing) are stored in repositories. Second, the knowledge is used to compose a development method based on the company’s situation. Third, the development method is enacted to develop a business model. This demonstration paper presents a tool-support called Situational Business Model Developer that supports all stages of our approach. Here, traders invest in stocks intending to increase their profit. For this purpose, in conventional stock trading, traders usually make use of 2D applications on desktop or laptop devices. This leads to many drawbacks such as poor visibility due to limited 2D representation, complex interaction due to indirect interaction via mouse and keyboard, or restricted support for collaboration between traders. To overcome these issues, we have developed a novel collaborative, virtual environment for stock trading, which enables stock traders to view financial information and trade stocks with other collaborators. Analyzing these data may enable manufacturing companies to identify weaknesses and learn about the users of their products. Such insights are valuable in the early phases of product development like product planning, as they facilitate decision-making for product improvement. The analysis and exploitation of usage data in product planning, however, is a new task for manufacturing companies. To reduce mistakes and improve the results, companies should build upon a suitable reference process model. Unfortunately, established models for analyzing data cannot be easily applied for product planning. In this paper, we propose a reference process model for usage data-driven product planning. It builds on three well-established models for analyzing data and addresses the unique characteristics of usage data-driven product planning.
