Neben der Beschreibung von Trends wie Kreislaufwirtschaft, Automatisierung der Märkte, Biologisierung, autonome Systeme und Robotik sowie IT-Sicherheit wird die zu erwartende Veränderung in der Bildung beschrieben. Dazu verwenden wir Methoden der Zukunftsforschung und arbeiten mit der Szenario-Technik, um Zukunftsperspektiven der Automation aufzuzeigen. The development of mechatronic systems is undergoing a similar transformation. Over the past decade, modeling, simulation, and optimization techniques have become integral to the design process, paving the way for the adoption of AI-based methods. In this paper, we examine the potential for integrating AI into the engineering design process, using the V-model from the VDI guideline 2206, considered the state-of-the-art in product design, as a foundation. We identify and classify AI methods based on their suitability for specific stages within the engineering product design workflow. Furthermore, we present a series of application examples where AI-assisted design has been successfully implemented by the authors. While a variety of disciplines are developing new approaches to drive service innovation, this is primarily done in isolation and generates only fragmented solutions. Sociological theory has proposed “boundary objects” as an effective umbrella for communication and cooperation among communities. Therefore, we introduce continuous value shaping (CVS) as a boundary object describing service innovation approaches along five principles. We reflect on this concept through the different disciplinary lenses of researchers in service marketing, information systems, service engineering, sociology of work, and innovation management. These perspectives highlight how the CVS principles already connect to discourses within the individual disciplines. However, the CVS concept will not only provide an umbrella to embrace existing activities in different academic disciplines. It also assists to identify research themes that will benefit from uniting the power of these disciplines, and it can serve as an integrating framework to conceptualize complex service innovation approaches. In each tick interrupt, a set of tasks that are waiting to release new jobs, namely, the waiting set, is inspected to determine the jobs that should be released at this tick. Such a waiting set is sorted whenever a job has finished, by which the release process can be efficiently achieved. However, the overhead of sorting can vary vastly depending on the task set, which has to be taken into account in the worst-case timing analysis. Moreover, the tick interrupt in common practices is backed by a single hardware timer that is configured to trigger interrupts, either with a fixed period or reconfigured to the next release time (so-called one-shot timer). Since not necessarily at every interrupt a job will be released, several tick interrupts might be redundant. For the one-shot timers, the reconfiguration during runtime also incurs overheads at a variable interval. To reduce such variability and amount of overhead, in this work, we propose\r\n            <jats:italic toggle=\"yes\">LazyTick</jats:italic>\r\n            which partitions the task set and distributes the subsets over multiple timers. Specifically, we propose two job release procedures with constant operations overhead—one for harmonic task sets and one for non-harmonic task sets. We implemented the support for multiple hardware timers in FreeRTOS and conducted intensive experimental evaluations. The evaluation shows that\r\n            <jats:italic toggle=\"yes\">LazyTick</jats:italic>\r\n            can reduce the variability in overhead by up to ≈ 5 × in peak and ≈ 3× on average in comparison to the default implementation. While its adoption in embedded systems—especially hard real-time systems—faces challenges due to stringent timing constraints, integrating shielding mechanisms may offer a pathway for RL to optimize its scheduling decisions, preserving worst-case timing guarantees. This position paper shows a use case where RL selects compliant execution versions for fault-tolerant real-time systems while minimizing the system utilization in runtime. Assuming a conjecture of Kantor our list of examples becomes a classification for chamber-regular C̃₂-lattices on locally-finite C̃₂-buildings. The links of special vertices in the buildings we construct, are all isomorphic to (the incidence graph of) the unique generalized quadrangle Q of order (3,5). In particular our constructions involve chamber-regular actions on Q. These actions on Q are the first (and if Kantor's conjecture holds the only) chamber-regular actions on a finite generalized quadrangle and therefore interesting in their own right. This requires organizations to publicly display a work environment that fits the particular preferences of this target group. Drawing on lifespan theories, we examine how the link between employee preferences and employees’ likelihood of recommending their employer to others varies by age. To address the lack of integration between the literatures on workforce aging and employer branding, we take an empirical approach analyzing 292,429 numeric and unedited text-based employee reviews from an employer rating platform. Our findings reveal that relationship-building, fair and appreciative supervisor behavior, positive interactions with older colleagues, and location-flexible, efficient working conditions play pivotal roles in shaping older employees’ likelihood of recommending their employer. Although these age-related interaction effects are significant, they remain small, suggesting broadly compatible preferences between older and younger employees. We also demonstrate that these findings are robust across gender and different income groups. For initial data $u_{0}$ compactly supported or in a weighted $L^{1}(G/K)$ space with a weight depending on $p\\in [1, \\infty ]$, we introduce a mass function $M_{p}(u_{0})(\\cdot )$, and prove that if $h_{t}$ is the heat kernel on $G/K$, then $$ \\begin{align*} &amp;\\|h_t\\|_p^{-1}\\,\\|u_0\\ast h_t \\, - \\,M_p(u_0)(\\cdot)\\,h_t\\|_p \\rightarrow 0 \\quad \\textrm{as} \\quad t\\rightarrow \\infty.\\end{align*} $$ Interestingly, the $L^{p}$ heat concentration leads to completely different expressions of the mass function for $1\\leq p &amp;lt;2$ and $2\\leq p\\leq \\infty $.
