This paper analyses temperature-specific waste heat potentials in automotive factories, distinguishing between vehicle assembly and component production. Waste heat sources are classified according to their integration feasibility, differentiating between directly usable heat and lower-temperature heat requiring upgrading via heat pumps. Using real-world operational data from eight automotive factories, waste heat potentials are quantified relative to site-specific heat demand. The results show that vehicle assembly factories exhibit relatively homogeneous shares of directly usable waste heat, while indirectly usable potentials vary strongly across sites, particularly in component manufacturing. To capture temporal utilisation constraints, a time-resolved case study is conducted for one vehicle assembly factory, combining hourly waste heat availability, internal heat demand and the load of an external district heating network. The dynamic analysis indicates that a substantial share of available waste heat can be utilised internally over the year, including periods of full internal heat coverage, while only limited surpluses remain available for external use. Overall, the findings underline the importance of factory-level, time-resolved analyses for identifying realistically utilisable waste heat shares and for supporting site-specific planning of waste heat integration under realistic constraints, thereby supporting the decarbonisation of industrial and urban thermal energy systems."}],"quality_controlled":"1"},{"year":"2026","status":"public","title":"Drinfeld correspondence in infinite dimensions","author":[{"full_name":"Rahangdale, Praful","last_name":"Rahangdale","first_name":"Praful","id":"103300"}],"date_updated":"2026-09-28T08:36:58Z","main_file_link":[{"url":"https://arxiv.org/abs/2603.04634"}],"_id":"64871","language":[{"iso":"eng"}],"user_id":"103300","citation":{"mla":"Rahangdale, Praful.
"}],"citation":{"chicago":"Wotschel, Philipp. <i>Entwicklung und Validierung einer rollenspielbasierten Simulation (RobS) – Ein Prüfungsformat zur Erfassung von Beratungskompetenz im bildungswissenschaftlichen Lehramtsstudium</i>. This study addresses this gap by examining international corporate tax policy. Based on 94 statements from eleven legislative procedures (2013- 2023), it analyzes the factors determining whether demands from various interest groups during expert hearings in the Finance Committee are adopted into final legislation. Methodologically, the paper combines qualitative content analysis with a quantitative probit regression. While descriptive data and initial analyses suggest varying success rates among expert groups, these differences disappear when controlling for the specific direction of the proposed changes. No significant group influence remains. The findings suggest that in the later stages of the legislative process, lawmakers select external expertise primarily based on substantive, technical criteria rather than systematically favoring specific actors. We thus aimed to assess the association between dietary factors and estimated 10-year cardiovascular disease risk across diabetes subtypes in the German Diabetes Study (GDS). Participants with recent-onset diabetes and from the 5-year follow-up examination were combined (n=635, mean age 47.5±12.9 years, 60% male) and classified into diabetes subtypes. Subtypes with prevalence &gt;10% were included in cross-sectional analyses: severe autoimmune diabetes (39%), mild obesity-related diabetes (31%), and mild age-related diabetes (30%). Carbohydrate quality parameters and adherence to dietary patterns were assessed from food frequency questionnaires. Differences in associations between these dietary factors and 10-year cardiovascular risk estimated by SCORE2-Diabetes across subtypes were examined using multivariable-adjusted linear regression models including an interaction term. In people with severe autoimmune diabetes, the overall and the healthful plant-based diet index were associated with lower estimated 10-year cardiovascular risk (ß [95% CI] -6.8 [-12.1; -1.2] and -8.8% [-14.0; -3.2] per 1-standard deviation increases, respectively), while these associations were not evident among the remaining two subtypes (p-value for interaction between subtypes &lt;0.05). Our findings suggest subtype-specific associations of plant-based dietary patterns with estimated cardiovascular risk, warranting further research from longitudinal and intervention studies.\r\n Trial registration:\r\n Clinicaltrials.gov: NCT01055093\r\n
","lang":"eng"}]},{"date_created":"2026-09-30T13:09:59Z","type":"conference","department":[{"_id":"424"}],"publication":"Proceedings of the 1st Workshop on Explainability, Transparency, and Safety (ExTraSafe) at ","citation":{"ama":"Li J, Großkreutz M, Peters TM, Scharlau I, Paaßen B. In the context of dynamic mechanical systems, this enables the compensation of modeling inaccuracies that arise from simplifications, missing effects, or uncertain parameters. In this work, a hybrid model is used as a starting point, in which the discrepancy between simulation and measurement is learned and compensated by a data‐driven correction element. To integrate such models into commercial multibody simulation software like Adams or Simpack, the formulation is adapted to operate directly on the force level. This allows implementation via standard co‐simulation interfaces without modifying the system's differential equations or solvers. In this work, we study two natural questions involving shadows: (1) Given $S$, when can one efficiently verify that $S$ came from a genuine $n$-qubit state? This is called the Classical Shadow Validity (CSV) problem, introduced by Karaiskos, Rudolph, Meyer, Eisert, and Gharibian [ICALP 2026]. (2) Given $S$ that allows one to capture 2-local properties of $ρ$, can one fake or spoof a shadow $S'$ which predicts 3-local properties of some state? For (1), we show CSV is efficiently solvable for permutation-invariant shadows, QMA-hard for real, fermionic, and bosonic shadows, and both coNP-hard and QMA-hard when the observable family consists of all $n$-qubit Pauli strings. A result of independent interest along the way is a new upper bound qc-$Σ_2$ $\\subseteq$ $\\mathrm{P}^{\\mathrm{PP}}$, where qc-$Σ_2$ is a quantum analogue of the second level of the polynomial hierarchy in which the first proof is quantum. For (2), we show intractability: Given the 2-local marginals $S$ of a quantum state $ρ$, estimating the 3-local marginals of $ρ$ is intractable unless QCMA $\\subseteq$ BPP, even if the state $ρ$ is the unique state consistent with $S$."}],"citation":{"ieee":"G. Buhrman et al.~ [BGLGST, PRL 2025] recently broke the natural Grover bound $O^\\ast(2^{n/2})$ for both problems, with the improvement depending on the relative accuracy $\\varepsilon$ and the locality $k$. In this work, we present faster exponential quantum algorithms for these problems, where the binary entropy function governs the runtime exponent. For sufficiently small $\\varepsilon/k$, our algorithms improve the exponent by a factor of $\\log(k/\\varepsilon)$ over [BGLGST, PRL 2025]. Our main technical result is an entropy-governed lower bound on the dimension of the Hamiltonian's low-energy subspace, obtained by depolarizing its ground state. For fixed $k$, this bound is optimal up to constant factors in the exponent. The same framework yields tighter bounds for Heisenberg, $XY$, and Ising models on arbitrary interaction graphs."}],"citation":{"apa":"Gharibian, S., Le Gall, F., Mataraarachchi, R., &#38; Tamaki, S.
