This has given rise to the concept of Social XAI. However, ontological modelling of the Social XAI framework remains limited. In particular, there is a lack of models that capture the progressivity of explanation processes in terms of the changes that occur. This paper introduces the Social XAI Ontology, a BFO-based reference ontology. The ontology models a variety of entities involved in the process of explanation. First, it provides a model of the participants in explanatory dialogues, such as artificial explainers and human explainees, and the roles they may take. Then, it introduces a rich set of explanatory moves that explainers and explainees perform. The paper further presents ontological accounts of four types of context that are central to real-world Social XAI projects. Furthermore, it provides an ontological account of different dimensions of adaptivity, which is considered to be an essential prerequisite for realizing Social XAI systems. Finally, the paper revisits two existing models of understanding in Social XAI by applying a recent theory of change. Conventional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems rely on numerous air outlet temperature sensors, which add significant costs at scale. This study introduces a hybrid virtual sensor concept that combines physics-based mathematical modeling with data-driven methods to address this challenge. A detailed physical model predicts air outlet temperatures, while neural networks capture unmodeled heat exchanges and environmental disturbances. Two hybrid strategies are explored: one augments the physical model with a neural network to learn residual heat flows, and the other employs an adiabatic physical model enhanced by a neural network that maps the total environmental heat exchange, supported by a disturbance observer for accurate heat flow estimation. Using service-dominant logic (SDL) as a theoretical lens, we review the distinctive properties of these concepts, introduce the agent concept into SDL, and analyze GenAI’s precise role in service exchange processes. We employ a two-phase research approach: First, we conduct a systematic literature review to derive defining properties of resources, actors, beneficiaries, and agents. We then assess eight contemporary GenAI systems against these properties. Our evidence indicates that GenAI is best understood as an operant resource and, depending on design and context, as an actor and agent. Conversely, GenAI does not qualify as a beneficiary, as it is neither individually capable of phenomenologically experiencing and determining value nor a social system of individuals with such capacities. In Nordrhein-Westfalen (NRW) bestehen bislang keine einheitlich formulierten Anforderungen an Mentor*innen, was Handlungsspielräume er‍ öffnet und für die konkrete Gestaltung der Arbeitsbeziehung viel Spielraum lässt. Der Beitrag widmet sich diesem Themenfeld, indem er Einblicke in ein Dissertationsvorhaben gibt, das die Wahrnehmung der Mentoring-Bezie‍ hung aus beiden Perspektiven (LAA und Mentor*innen) untersucht. Ziel ist es, zentrale Merkmale der Arbeitsbeziehungen zu identifizieren und damit Grundlagen für eine gezielte Unterstützung von Mentoring-Prozessen zu lie‍ fern. Ein möglicher Ansatz, um Bauteilfälschungen z.B. in der Luft- und Raumfahrtindustrie sowie im Automotive-Bereich künftig zu verhindern, besteht darin, einen unverwechselbaren, unumkehrbaren „Identifier“ in das Originalbauteil zu integrieren. Dies könnte beispielsweise ein unsichtbarer magnetischer Bar- oder QR-Code sein, der während der Fertigung direkt in das Bauteil integriert wird. Die gezielte Beeinflussung der magnetischen Eigenschaften während des Fertigungsprozesses von Bauteilen durch die Umformtechnik stellt nach aktuellem Stand der Technik eine anspruchsvolle Herausforderung dar. Ein vielversprechender Forschungsansatz zur Lösung dieses Problems ist das Konzept der sogenannten Eigenschaftsregelung. Bei diesem Konzept werden die Bauteileigenschaften mittels intelligenter Sensoren direkt während der Fertigung gemessen und durch die Maschinenaktorik in den Prozess zurückgekoppelt. Dies ermöglicht eine dynamische Anpassung der Fertigungsparameter, um die gewünschten Eigenschaften des Bauteils zu erreichen. Dieser Beitrag beleuchtet am Beispiel des Drückwalzprozesses für metastabil-austenitischer Edelstähle, wie mit einer solchen Eigenschaftsregelung definierte und gradierte Eigenschaftsstrukturen z.B. zur Verhinderung von Produktfälschungen hergestellt werden können. Eine Hauptherausforderung bei der Entwicklung der Eigenschaftsregelung für das Drückwalzen metastabil-austenitischer Edelstähle ist insbesondere die Online-Messbarkeit des Gefüges in-situ im Prozess. Hierzu ist innerhalb der Eigenschaftsregelung eine indirekte, zerstörungsfreie Messung mittels einer neuartigen, intelligenten Softsensorik unabdingbar. Diese Sensorik besitzt eine charakteristische Dynamik und Ortsauflösung, welche mittelbar die Auflösung der geregelt erzeugten Gradierungen beeinflusst, d.h. die Schärfe der Abgrenzung zwischen martensitischen und nicht-martensitischen Bereichen. Dieser Aspekt wird Rahmen des vorliegenden Beitrags im Rahmen einer Simulationsstudie näher beleuchtet und ein Quervergleich zwischen Sensordynamik, Regelungsbandbreite und resultierenden und der erreichbaren Gradierungsauflösung gezogen. However, the TRIP effect during flow forming is significantly affected by disturbances and especially batch fluctuations leading to process uncertainty. This aspect is further analyzed and quantified in this paper to give insights on how to minimize the impact of uncertainty. For this purpose, semifinished parts and resulting flow forming workpieces are systemically characterized concerning their properties and the property uncertainty supported by mathematical methods like correlation analysis and error propagation. A result is that the most influencing impact factor on the strain induced α’-martensite volume fraction as a material property are batch fluctuations, specifically the variations of the chemical composition. Those especially appear from batch to batch, but also within a batch accompanied by e.g. temperature effects. To counter this challenge, different methods from control theory like closed-loop property control and adaptive control can be applied to flow forming. This article focuses on discursive strategies, aiming to link the individual and structural level by investigating counter-narratives as a means to mitigate hostile behavioral intentions. Specifically, it examines the relationship between anti-Muslim hostility and two dimensions of counter-narratives: empathy and differentiation. The findings indicate that, in general, both empathy and differentiation are significantly associated with reduced anti-Muslim hostility. This association is particularly strong among those on the political left. Significant correlations pointing to the same direction are also observed in the political center. However, within the political right spectrum, only the affective component of counter-narratives, empathy, is linked to reduced hostility, while the cognitive dimension of counter-narratives, differentiation, does not show a significant relationship with anti-Muslim hostility. These findings suggest that greater emphasis should be placed and focused on counter-narratives and their potential to reduce hostility, both within the scientific community and in other knowledge production systems. Additionally, these findings have implications for effective prevention work, indicating that the affective component could be particularly effective in addressing the hostility of the highly relevant, most hostile target group of those who identify as politically right.","lang":"eng"}],"publication":"Anti-Muslim Attitudes and Racism.
