text: "After nearly two decades of research, the question of a quantum PCP theorem\r\nfor
quantum Constraint Satisfaction Problems (CSPs) remains wide open. As a\r\nresult,
proving QMA-hardness of approximation for ground state energy\r\nestimation has
remained elusive. Recently, it was shown [Bittel, Gharibian,\r\nKliesch, CCC 2023]
that a natural problem involving variational quantum\r\ncircuits is QCMA-hard
to approximate within ratio N^(1-eps) for any eps > 0 and\r\nN the input size.
Unfortunately, this problem was not related to quantum CSPs,\r\nleaving the question
of hardness of approximation for quantum CSPs open. In\r\nthis work, we show that
if instead of focusing on ground state energies, one\r\nconsiders computing properties
of the ground space, QCMA-hardness of computing\r\nground space properties can
be shown. In particular, we show that it is (1)\r\nQCMA-complete within ratio
N^(1-eps) to approximate the Ground State\r\nConnectivity problem (GSCON), and
    (2) QCMA-hard within the same ratio to\r\nestimate the amount of entanglement
of a local Hamiltonian's ground state,\r\ndenoted Ground State Entanglement (GSE).
As a bonus, a simplification of our\r\nconstruction yields NP-completeness of
approximation for a natural k-SAT\r\nreconfiguration problem, to be contrasted
with the recent PCP-based PSPACE\r\nhardness of approximation results for a different
definition of k-SAT\r\nreconfiguration [Karthik C.S. and Manurangsi, 2023, and
    Hirahara, Ohsaka, STOC\r\n2024]."

text: "Die Fridays-for-Future-Bewegung (FFF) hat gezeigt, dass Schüler*innen zu
zentralen politischen Akteur*innen werden können. Insbesondere in der Anfangsphase
    der sogenannten Klimastreiks wurde die Bewegung stark von Jugendlichen getragen;
    von Schule und politischer Partizipation im Kontext von FFF ist wenig bekannt;
\r\n\r\nKeywords: Fridays for Future,

  text:
Diffractive neural networks (DNNs) are an emerging approach for the
realization of photonic artificial intelligence, especially due to their suitability
for machine-vision applications and high-dimensional photonic information processing
at lower power consumption. However, incorporating optical nonlinear activation
functions to make DNNs a feasible alternative to their electronic counterpart
remains a challenge. Here, we investigate the inclusion of second-harmonic generation
(SHG), as one of the simplest and most efficient types of optical nonlinearities,
in DNNs. We numerically investigate the impact of SHG on the performance of classification
tasks in an all-optical nonlinear DNN. Specifically, we investigate and discuss
the essential requirements for an effective arrangement of a SHG activation in
single and multilayer DNNs. We find that the performance, in terms of classification
accuracy and class contrast, is affected strongly by the positioning of the SHG
activation. Finally, we discuss and outline the constraints for including SHG
in an experimental realization. Taking these constraints into account, we estimate
the power-related efficiency of the nonlinear DNN system. Overall, our results
provide a path towards implementing nonlinear DNNs using the SHG process.

  text:
We investigated the spectral properties of squeezed light generated
via parametric down-conversion in the high-gain regime, considering both unapodized
and apodized dispersion-engineered waveguides. The gain-dependent evolution of
these states is examined starting from the low-gain regime, which includes both
highly correlated and nearly uncorrelated cases. For the unapodized configuration,
our simulated results show a monotonic increase in spectral purity with gain,
whereas for some of the apodized configuration, they exhibit a nonmonotonic dependence,
initially decreasing and then recovering at higher gain. By combining Schmidt-mode
analysis with a group-velocity-based interpretation, we explain why different
dispersion conditions exhibit distinct gain-dependent behavior, specifically that
rapid purification occurs when the pump group velocity lies between those of the
signal and idler. Our study shows that the evolution of spectral purity is governed
primarily by the underlying dispersion of the waveguide. These results demonstrate
that dispersion engineering and parametric gain can be jointly exploited to tailor
the spectral-mode structure of squeezed-light sources, enabling their optimization
for a broad range of quantum applications.

text: Laser Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB/M) enables significant performance enhancements
in tool and mold making via the integration of complex, conformal cooling channels.
However, high manufacturing costs of monolithic components and material-specific
defect susceptibility still hinder widespread industrial adoption. Within the
collaborative project WerKo3D, the scaling, process qualification, and structural
design of the novel tool steel Printium 13 were successfully investigated to lower
market entry barriers for additive tooling applications. An industrial batch of
50 kg of Printium 13 powder was produced via vacuum inert gas atomization and
thoroughly characterized. Utilizing a Design of Experiments (DoE) approach on
an SLM 280 system, an optimized process window was established, yielding a relative
density of about 99.99%. Subsequent heat treatment parameterizations revealed
a superior mechanical property profile combining high hardness with enhanced impact
toughness compared to conventional AISI H13 tool steel, alongside ultimate tensile
strengths up to 1,600 MPa. To reduce build times and material consumption, a segmented
shell-core tool design was conceptualized and numerically optimized via coupled
CFD and FEM simulations. The functional demonstrator - a sprue insert for aluminum
die casting - was additively manufactured without cracking, heat-treated, and
finish-machined to final dimensions. Furthermore, a two-day training and knowledge-transfer
program was realized to disseminate design guidelines to industry stakeholders.
The findings validate the complete process chain from powder atomization to crack-free
    hybrid tool manufacturing.

probing of strong-field electron dynamics in condensed matter and the development
of compact ultrafast light sources. Whereas most studies have focused on above-bandgap
high-order harmonics, which are usually interpreted through short electron-hole
trajectories that recombine within one optical cycle, the microscopic origin of
low-order emission near the bandgap remains poorly understood. Here, we investigate
near-bandgap harmonic generation in ZnO by combining semiconductor Bloch equations with
a complex-time quantum-trajectory analysis. Our results indicate that these harmonics
are not a continuation of the short trajectory. Rather, they originate from multiple-scattering
trajectories, in which the electron-hole pair undergoes repeated Bragg scattering

text: "We introduce the non-symmetric heat and Poisson semigroups associated with
the Heckman-Opdam Laplacian in the compact setting. Based on the Poisson semigroup,
we study several Littlewood-Paley $g$-functions in the spirit of Stein's work
for compact Lie groups and prove their $L^{p}$-boundedness for $1<p<\\infty$.
As an application, we define associated Riesz transforms and Riesz potentials
and prove their $L^{p}$-continuity for $1<p<\\infty$. \r\n Passing to the average
with respect to the action of the associated reflection group, our framework in
particular covers the Littlewood-Paley-Stein theory for Jacobi polynomial expansions
and corresponding direct product settings as special cases."

text: For an arbitrary reduced root system, we give upper bounds for the Dunkl kernel
with regular spectral parameter and its derivatives, which are uniform in the
spatial variable. These estimates generalize well-known sharp upper bounds for
classical one-variable Bessel functions and for spherical functions of Cartan
motion groups. As a consequence, we prove that the representing measure of Dunkl's
intertwining operator is absolutely continuous with respect to the Lebesgue measure
for multiplicities $k> 1/2$ and generic spectral parameter. This settles a conjecture
posed in [RdJ02] at least for $k>1/2$.

text: Approval of products in safety-sensitive areas, such as medical technology,
requires considerable effort. Companies must comply with numerous regulations
for such product approvals. This results in requirements for processes, methods,
tools and organizations throughout the product life cycle. A proven approach to
handling regulatory requirements is the application of product lifecycle management
(PLM) platforms. Applying PLM platforms (e.g. Teamcenter, 3DExperience) poses
challenges in designing compliant processes as well as adapting methods and tools.
For example, in medical technology, ISO 13485 specifies an industry-specific product
engineering process. The exemplary adaptations of requirements engineering methods
and related support – e.g. MBSE including Requirements Diagrams – are not intuitively
apparent. Existing literature primarily regards these regulation-related challenges
as boundary conditions, offering only vague operational solutions. Companies struggle
to align PLM processes with regulatory requirements, yet few methods exist to
support this integration. In this paper, a method is proposed that supports the
application of regulation-centered PLM platforms and reduces effort in product
approvals. The method is developed by applying a five-step approach. Existing
literature on process models for applying PLM platforms is identified (1). The
identified approaches are then analyzed to determine whether and to what extent
they consider regulations in applying PLM platforms (2). Based on identified partial
solutions from literature and findings from industry workshops, a new method is
developed (3). The method comprises strategic level, process level, data level,
pilot level, and operation level. Validation is conducted within a German medical
technology company, containing proof of applicability determined through a pilot
project (4) and proof of concept achieved through interviews (5). The method is
applied to regulation-centered PLM for the use case ‘requirements engineering’.
The concept is confirmed by experts in terms of applicability and transferability.
The method supports engineers in applying regulation-centered PLM platforms, leading
    to reduced effort.

speedups in systems with polarization, likewise spin degrees of freedom. By confining
the dynamics to the manifold of angular momentum coherent states, which act as
the classical reference in this case, we compute the speed limit that bounds the
rate of change of the state achievable without generating quantum coherence. A
comparison with the unrestricted quantum speed limit enables the quantitative
identification of speedups arising from polarization nonclassicality. We apply
this framework to the cross-Kerr interaction, demonstrating a persistent speedup
