text: Approval of products in safety-sensitive areas, such as medical technology,
requires considerable effort. Companies must comply with numerous regulations
for such product approvals. This results in requirements for processes, methods,
tools and organizations throughout the product life cycle. A proven approach to
handling regulatory requirements is the application of product lifecycle management
(PLM) platforms. Applying PLM platforms (e.g. Teamcenter, 3DExperience) poses
challenges in designing compliant processes as well as adapting methods and tools.
For example, in medical technology, ISO 13485 specifies an industry-specific product
engineering process. The exemplary adaptations of requirements engineering methods
and related support – e.g. MBSE including Requirements Diagrams – are not intuitively
apparent. Existing literature primarily regards these regulation-related challenges
as boundary conditions, offering only vague operational solutions. Companies struggle
to align PLM processes with regulatory requirements, yet few methods exist to
support this integration. In this paper, a method is proposed that supports the
application of regulation-centered PLM platforms and reduces effort in product
approvals. The method is developed by applying a five-step approach. Existing
literature on process models for applying PLM platforms is identified (1). The
identified approaches are then analyzed to determine whether and to what extent
they consider regulations in applying PLM platforms (2). Based on identified partial
solutions from literature and findings from industry workshops, a new method is
developed (3). The method comprises strategic level, process level, data level,
pilot level, and operation level. Validation is conducted within a German medical
technology company, containing proof of applicability determined through a pilot
project (4) and proof of concept achieved through interviews (5). The method is
applied to regulation-centered PLM for the use case ‘requirements engineering’.
The concept is confirmed by experts in terms of applicability and transferability.
The method supports engineers in applying regulation-centered PLM platforms, leading
to reduced effort.

speedups in systems with polarization, likewise spin degrees of freedom. By confining
the dynamics to the manifold of angular momentum coherent states, which act as
the classical reference in this case, we compute the speed limit that bounds the
rate of change of the state achievable without generating quantum coherence. A
comparison with the unrestricted quantum speed limit enables the quantitative
identification of speedups arising from polarization nonclassicality. We apply
this framework to the cross-Kerr interaction, demonstrating a persistent speedup

text: Friction spinning is a metal forming process that can be used to manufacture
various shapes by rotating a metallic workpiece relative to a blunt tool. When
used as a hot metal forming process, the relative velocity between workpiece and
tool is increased until substantial heat is generated due to friction. This frictional
heat softens the workpiece and allows it to be more readily shaped. However, the
process's complex interactions between mechanical, frictional and thermal effects
pose significant challenges for numerical modelling. The present study outlines
a numerical model that uses the arbitrary Lagrangian–Eulerian (ALE) formulation
in a rotating frame to simulate the friction spinning process. The key enabler
is an incremental ALE formulation with reference‐velocity‐based remapping that
allows for severe deformation and large rotational motion while preserving path‐dependent
constitutive history variables. Proof‐of‐concept examples demonstrate its ability
to simulate the upsetting of rods and rivets by friction spinning. The potential
of the ALE formulation for modelling friction spinning is thereby confirmed, which
paves the way for further research, model enhancements, parameter identifications
and applications.

text: "Abstract\r\n Density, viscosity,
and self-diffusion coefficients are reported for solutions of sodium chloride
in the mixed solvent of water and polyethylene glycol of 200 g·mol–1 average molar
weight (PEG200), covering temperatures from 298.15 to 358.15 K, sodium chloride
molalities from 0 to 3 mol·kg–1, and PEG200 mass fractions from 0 to 0.4. The
obtained densities and viscosities of aqueous PEG200 and the self-diffusion coefficients
of aqueous sodium chloride solutions are compared to available literature data.
Densities are found to be linearly dependent on wPEG and nearly linearly dependent
on temperature and sodium chloride concentration. The temperature dependence of
the viscosity shows only minor deviations from the Arrhenius law, while for the
self-diffusion of PEG200 as well as water, no deviations from Arrhenius behavior
are discernible. The observable trends in the data suggest that PEG as the bulkiest
system component interferes with the motional freedom of the system, while sodium
chloride does not. Instead, the density data suggest that sodium chloride prefers
to interact with water, while water prefers to interact with itself. However,
the aggregation of PEG molecules, which could conceivably result from these interaction
patterns, is not indicated in the self-diffusion and viscosity data."
