  text: <jats:p>As a possible solution to the demographic change and the resulting
    knowledge loss due to retirements in the Energy sector, this study aimed to develop
    a generic pipeline to implement and evaluate proof-of-concepts (PoCs) for LLM-based
    assistance systems in new domains. Our pipeline contains an LLM-based data generation
    strategy based on documents, a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architecture
    utilizing prompting techniques on existing German LLMs, and an LLM-based automatic
    evaluation strategy. We leverage our pipeline to evaluate five LLMs using data
    from a German DSO. We found that the Llama3 and the Mistral model are appropriately
    aligned for the task. We plan to pilot the RAG architecture in the DSO's infrastructure
    for future research and continuously research improvements using the generated
    human demonstrations.</jats:p>

  text: <jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>AlInP (001) is widely utilized as
    a window layer in optoelectronic devices, including world‐record III‐V multi‐junction
    solar cells and photoelectrochemical (PEC) cells. The chemical and electronic
    properties of AlInP (001) depend on its surface reconstruction, which impacts
    its interaction with electrolytes in PEC applications and passivation layers.
    This study investigates AlInP (001) surface reconstructions using density functional
    theory and experimental methods. Phosphorus‐rich (P‐rich) and indium‐rich (In‐rich)
    AlInP surfaces are prepared with in situ monitoring of the process by reflection
    anisotropy (RA) spectroscopy and confirmed by low‐energy electron diffraction
    and photoemission spectroscopy. The experimental RA spectra closely match the
    theoretical predictions obtained by solving the Bethe–Salpeter equation. It is
    shown that missing hydrogen on P‐rich surfaces and formation of In–In 1D atomic
    chains on In‐rich surfaces introduce mid‐gap surface states that pin the Fermi
    level and induce band bending. Time‐resolved two‐photon photoemission measurements
    reveal ultrafast near‐surface electron dynamics for both P‐rich and In‐rich surfaces,
    demonstrating photoexcited electrons reaching the surface conduction band minimum
    and relaxing to mid‐gap surface states on about hundreds of fs. This work provides
    the most extensive AlInP surface analysis to date, allowing for more targeted
    surface and interface engineering, which is crucial for the optimization and design
    of III‐V heterostructures.</jats:p>

  text: <jats:p>Assessing and communicating software security has become a crucial
    concern in the era of digital transformation. As software systems grow more complex
    and interconnected, it becomes increasingly challenging to effectively evaluate
    and communicate a product's security status to both technical and non-technical
    stakeholders. The Software Product Health Assistant (SPHA) is designed to automatically
    collect and aggregate data from existing expert tools and derive, among other
    scores, a transparent Security Score. SPHA is designed to present and explain
    this Security Score to decision-makers to support their responsibilities. In this
    paper, we demonstrate how to integrate data from SMARAGD (System Modeler for Architectural
    Risk Assessment and Guidance on Defenses), a safety-informed threat modeling tool,
    into SPHA to enhance the existing definition of its Security Score. To achieve
    this, we combine information about known vulnerabilities with architectural and
    threat data to calculate a realistic risk score for the product in question.</jats:p>

    öffentliche und private Leben – davon ist selbstredend auch die Schule und der
    Unterricht betroffen. Zugleich gilt die Lehrkräftekooperation als eine Möglichkeit,
    um gesellschaftlichen Herausforderungen in Schulen begegnen zu können. Davon ausgehend
    untersucht Mario Engemann die digital-kooperativen Arbeitsbeziehungen von Lehrkräften
    – exemplarisch am gymnasialen Schulfach Erziehungswissenschaft. Unter Rückgriff
    auf ein Mixed-Methods-Design beantwortet er die Frage, wie sich die Lehrkräftekooperation
    hinsichtlich der Digitalisierung in Formen, Gestaltung und Rahmenbedingungen darstellt.
    Die empirische Datenbasis der Arbeit bilden ein eigens unter Berücksichtigung
    bestehender Items zur Lehrkräftekooperation konzipierter quantitativer Fragebogen
    sowie Expert*inneninterviews mit Lehrkräften.

  text: <jats:p>This study investigates the occurrence and mitigation of liquid metal
    embrittlement occurring during resistance spot welding in deep-drawn automotive
    components, specifically focusing on an S-Rail made from advanced high-strength
    steel. A simulation-based liquid metal embrittlement risk criterion based on local
    major component stresses was established and used to quantify and compare liquid
    metal embrittlement risks between different tests. Experimental and numerical
    analyses were conducted, revealing that springback significantly impacts liquid
    metal embrittlement formation. Adjustments in electrode geometry and hold time
    post-welding were found to mitigate liquid metal embrittlement risks. The effects
    of stack-up configuration and related parameter settings on liquid metal embrittlement
    occurrence were identified and liquid metal embrittlement was effectively prevented
    across both stack-up configurations. These findings advance the understanding
    of liquid metal embrittlement mechanisms and provide practical approaches to enhance
    the spot weld quality in AHSS-based body-in-whites.</jats:p>

    that, in Bayesian tasks, performance and typical errors in <jats:italic>reading</jats:italic>
    information from filled visualizations depend both on the type of the provided
    visualization and information format. However, apart from reading visualizations,
    students should also be able to create visualizations on their own and successfully
    use them as heuristic tools in modeling tasks. In this paper, we first want to
    broaden the view on Bayesian reasoning to probabilistic tasks with two binary
    events in general and embed the whole process of solving these tasks using probabilistic
    visualizations in a modified modeling framework. Thereby, it becomes apparent
    that most of the steps remained untouched by existing research. Second, in the
    present empirical study, we focused on one part of the largely unexplored creation
    process and examined <jats:italic>entering</jats:italic> statistical information
    into empty visualizations as heuristic tools. <jats:italic>N</jats:italic> = 172
    participants had to enter conditional and joint probabilities or the corresponding
    frequencies into empty visualizations in a paper-and-pencil test. We analyze (a)
    students’ performance when entering information in visualizations and (b) typical
    errors, both dependent on the <jats:italic>information format</jats:italic> (probabilities
    vs. natural frequencies), which <jats:italic>empty visualization structure</jats:italic>
    (2⨯2 table, double tree, net diagram) was provided, and <jats:italic>type of information</jats:italic>
    (conditional vs. joint information). The well-known positive effect of natural
    frequencies on participants’ performance was evident when entering conditional
    information into 2⨯2 tables and net diagrams. However, with respect to joint information,
    no superior effect of frequencies was observed. Furthermore, the theoretical implementation
    of our research in a modeling cycle allows us to identify desiderata for future
    research.</jats:p>"
