Anwendung.

text:
Flow forming of metastable austenites is an innovative, incremental
metal forming process with special capabilities due to the TRIP effect. However,
the TRIP effect during flow forming is significantly affected by disturbances
and especially batch fluctuations leading to process uncertainty. This aspect
is further analyzed and quantified in this paper to give insights on how to minimize
the impact of uncertainty. For this purpose, semifinished parts and resulting
flow forming workpieces are systemically characterized concerning their properties
and the property uncertainty supported by mathematical methods like correlation
analysis and error propagation. A result is that the most influencing impact factor
on the strain induced α’-martensite volume fraction as a material property are
batch fluctuations, specifically the variations of the chemical composition. Those
especially appear from batch to batch, but also within a batch accompanied by
e.g. temperature effects. To counter this challenge, different methods from control
theory like closed-loop property control and adaptive control can be applied to
flow forming. Thus, uncertainty will be reduced to increase process robustness
and to enable industrial exploitation of the TRIP effect in flow forming of metastable
austenitic steels.

mechatronischen Kreises (Umformprozess, Eigenschaftssensorik, Eigenschaftsregler,

Systemen interagieren.'

Blocks (BB1–BB4). The analytical lens is the Co-Constructive Dual Nature Framework
developed herein, which distinguishes two perspectives on the artifact, Architecture
(how it works) and Relevance (what it is for). Their interplay is examined along
three criteria: a dual-perspective criterion concerning the need to address both
perspectives, a collaborative criterion concerning the co-constructive dynamics
between explainer and explainee, and a cognitive criterion concerning the epistemic
modes of construal that underlie perspective selection. BB1 establishes intonation-phrase
segmentation as a reliable transcription basis for the qualitative coding of utterances
addressing the dual nature in explanation content. BB2 documents a robust Architecture-dominant
pattern in naturalistic explanations, with explainers producing approximately
60–70% Architecture content and communicating it as a prerequisite for Relevance.
BB3 shows that this baseline persists even under systematic co-constructive pressure
from explainees signalling, for example, Relevance interest, though partial adaptation
occurs. BB4 experimentally tests the effect of explanatory approach on recipients’
understanding: Architecture-focused and Relevance-focused explanations produce
equivalent comprehension, but only integrated explanations that connect both yield
significantly higher enabledness with the artifact. The central finding is a tension
between explanatory default and explanatory need: the approach that yields enabledness
and thus produces the deepest understanding demands the integration of both perspectives.
In the naturalistic explanations (BB2), this integration was not reliably produced.
This tension carries consequences for computing and technology education, where
curricula that separate Architecture from Relevance risk failing to sufficiently
foster integrative understanding, and thereby risk falling short of educational
aims such as self-determination. Explainable AI is likewise affected: when, for
instance, feature importances are used to generate counterfactual explanations,
these may support comprehension but not the agency that people who interact with
opaque but consequential systems require.'

text: "
Abstract
\r\n
Although prices
for renewable energy technologies have recently declined, many low-income countries
still face barriers to deployment. The energy supply for their growing economies
largely originates from the burning of fossil fuels. To avoid accelerating global
greenhouse gas emissions, it is crucial that low-income countries enter a low-carbon
growth path through the large-scale deployment of renewable energy. This is particularly
relevant in countries that import fossil energy resources from global markets,
where renewable energy deployment could be a tool for achieving independence and
economic development. It can be beneficial in the short-run, for low-income countries
with limited access to finance to rely on existing energy infrastructure. However,
investment in renewable energy provides a long-run solution to preventing carbon
lock-in by expanding existing infrastructure, such as pipelines or refineries.
Therefore, we develop a theoretical model for long-run economic growth in import-dependent
low-income countries. To produce renewable energy, a country must either attract
international climate finance funds or substitute for other investments in the
domestic economy to build a renewable energy capital stock. The results imply
that sufficient and stable access to climate finance funds to transition to renewable
energy accelerates long-run economic growth and welfare. Conversely, when investments
in the energy transition crowds-out investment from other productive sectors in
the economy, financing the energy transition can lead to income losses between
15 and 20% in the short- to medium-run. However, the energy transition does stimulate
economic growth and welfare with an optimal allocation of capital in the long
run. Furthermore, insufficient access to climate finance leads to rebound effects,
accelerating demand for fossil energy and carbon emissions.
"

des lebenslangen Lernens und damit auch der Erwachsenen- bzw. Weiterbildung (EB/WB);

text: The decarbonisation of industrial heat supply requires a realistic assessment
of how waste heat can contribute to factory-level energy systems and where applicable,
to external heat networks. This paper analyses temperature-specific waste heat
potentials in automotive factories, distinguishing between vehicle assembly and
component production. Waste heat sources are classified according to their integration
feasibility, differentiating between directly usable heat and lower-temperature
heat requiring upgrading via heat pumps. Using real-world operational data from
eight automotive factories, waste heat potentials are quantified relative to site-specific
heat demand. The results show that vehicle assembly factories exhibit relatively
homogeneous shares of directly usable waste heat, while indirectly usable potentials
vary strongly across sites, particularly in component manufacturing. To capture
temporal utilisation constraints, a time-resolved case study is conducted for
one vehicle assembly factory, combining hourly waste heat availability, internal
heat demand and the load of an external district heating network. The dynamic
analysis indicates that a substantial share of available waste heat can be utilised
internally over the year, including periods of full internal heat coverage, while
only limited surpluses remain available for external use. Overall, the findings
underline the importance of factory-level, time-resolved analyses for identifying
realistically utilisable waste heat shares and for supporting site-specific planning
of waste heat integration under realistic constraints, thereby supporting the
decarbonisation of industrial and urban thermal energy systems.

text:

text: Despite the pivotal role of tax legislation for the economy and society, empirical
research on how interest groups influence German tax legislation remains scarce.
This study addresses this gap by examining international corporate tax policy.
Based on 94 statements from eleven legislative procedures (2013- 2023), it analyzes
the factors determining whether demands from various interest groups during expert
hearings in the Finance Committee are adopted into final legislation. Methodologically,
the paper combines qualitative content analysis with a quantitative probit regression.
While descriptive data and initial analyses suggest varying success rates among
expert groups, these differences disappear when controlling for the specific direction
of the proposed changes. No significant group influence remains. The findings
suggest that in the later stages of the legislative process, lawmakers select
external expertise primarily based on substantive, technical criteria rather than
systematically favoring specific actors. Thus, the study contributes to the political
economy of taxation by highlighting the importance of technical content over pure
actor power.

impacts cardiovascular disease risk, but the association across diabetes subtypes
is unclear. We thus aimed to assess the association between dietary factors and
estimated 10-year cardiovascular disease risk across diabetes subtypes in the
German Diabetes Study (GDS). Participants with recent-onset diabetes and from
the 5-year follow-up examination were combined (n=635, mean age 47.5±12.9 years,
60% male) and classified into diabetes subtypes. Subtypes with prevalence >10%
were included in cross-sectional analyses: severe autoimmune diabetes (39%), mild
obesity-related diabetes (31%), and mild age-related diabetes (30%). Carbohydrate
quality parameters and adherence to dietary patterns were assessed from food frequency
questionnaires. Differences in associations between these dietary factors and
10-year cardiovascular risk estimated by SCORE2-Diabetes across subtypes were
examined using multivariable-adjusted linear regression models including an interaction
term. In people with severe autoimmune diabetes, the overall and the healthful
plant-based diet index were associated with lower estimated 10-year cardiovascular
risk (ß [95% CI] -6.8 [-12.1; -1.2] and -8.8% [-14.0; -3.2] per 1-standard deviation
increases, respectively), while these associations were not evident among the
remaining two subtypes (p-value for interaction between subtypes <0.05). Our

text: "Despite recent progress in Large Language Model (LLM) research, LLMs remain
sensitive to prompt paraphrases,\r\ne.g., due to sycophancy, framing, or negation
blindness, yielding surprising and contradictory outputs. This paper\r\ninvestigates
whether such vulnerabilities can be exploited to construct adversarial attacks
against LLMs. Using\r\na DeepSeek-V4-Flash model, we automatically rephrase an
input prompt using sycophancy, framing, and/or\r\nnegations to leave it semantically
unchanged but elicit a contradicting output of a victim LLM, in this case a\r\nLlama-3.1-8B-Instruct
model. On 49 controversial topics, we show that negation attacks can flip the
model’s\r\noriginal stance in roughly 80% of cases, whereas sycophancy and framing
yield moderate success rates around\r\n25% and 40%, respectively. The attacker
LLM was also quite accurate in determining attack success (91.3%\r\naccuracy compared
to annotations of two independent human annotators). Overall, the results suggest
that\r\nhuman-interpretable paraphrase attacks, such as negations, may be a viable
method to illustrate the vulnerabilities\r\nof LLMs."
