text: 'The quadratic sieve (QS) is an irregular, cache-hostile, branch-heavy integer
factorization algorithm; prior GPU work accelerates individual stages of it. We
present \swname{}, a self-initializing quadratic sieve in which \emph{every} stage
--- polynomial initialization, sieving, relation post-processing, large-prime
matching, \GFtwo{} matrix construction, Block Wiedemann linear algebra and the
square root --- executes on the GPU, the CPU restricted to orchestration, setup
and I/O, the sieve window 99.9\% GPU-busy with no device-wide or event synchronization
and no synchronous copy. With it we factored the 512-bit RSA-155 challenge modulus
end to end on GPUs: a 64$\times$H100 sieve feeding a single-H100 \GFtwo{} solve,
700.6~GPU-h and 242~kWh in total, 98.4\% of it sieving. To our knowledge this
is the largest integer factored by the quadratic sieve, exceeding the prior QS
record RSA-150 (Buhrow, YAFU, 2025); all comparable general factorizations since
1996, RSA-155''s own in 1999 included, used the number field sieve. On a single
device we factor RSA-100 in 29.2~s on an H100 and 51.0~s on a consumer RTX~5070~Ti;
in a controlled same-modulus measurement, with energy measured on both sides,
the H100 is faster than the fastest CPU quadratic sieve, YAFU, on 96 cores of
an EPYC~9655 (106--122~s), and than CADO-NFS''s SIQS (292~s) and GNFS (263~s).
Across four discrete GPUs (a 3.7$\times$ range in CUDA cores) RSA-100 throughput
is close to proportional to core count, memory bandwidth being a weaker predictor,
and measured cost over seven benchmark factorizations from RSA-100 to RSA-155
grows as $\LN{1/2}{1}^{1.04}$ ($R^2=0.993$). On RSA-150, the identical modulus
on which the prior QS record was set, we measure 302.9~GPU-h against that run''s
11{,}664 core-hours.'

text: "Schulische digitalisierungsbezogene Bildungsprozesse entfalten in
Deutschland bislang noch nicht in ausreichendem Maße ihre Wirksamkeit. Dies zeigt
sich besonders in der Entwicklung digitaler Kompetenzen von Kindern und Jugendlichen
aus Familien mit niedrigem sozioökonomischen Status.\r\nDiese Publikation setzt
genau an diesem Befund der digitalen Spaltung an. Im Rahmen der vom Bundesministerium
für Bildung, Familie, Senioren, Frauen und Jugend (BMBFSFJ) geförderten ICILS-2023-Transferstudie
werden Schulen in den Blick genommen, denen es trotz herausfordernder sozialer
Ausgangslagen gelingt, überdurchschnittlich hohe digitale Kompetenzen ihrer Schüler*innen
zu erreichen: sogenannte unerwartbar erfolgreiche Schulen.\r\nAuf Basis von Sekundäranalysen
der ICILS-2023-Studie wird untersucht, welche Merkmale diese Schulen von anderen
Schulen in Deutschland bezogen auf fünf zentrale Dimensionen der chancengerechten
digitalisierungsbezogenen Schulentwicklung – Organisationsentwicklung, Unterrichtsentwicklung,
Kooperations- und Kommunikationsentwicklung, Personalentwicklung sowie Technologieentwicklung
– unterscheiden.\r\nAus den empirischen Befunden werden konkrete, theoriegeleitete
und praxisorientierte Impulse abgeleitet. Die Impulse können von Schulen und Akteur*innen
der Schulentwicklung genutzt werden, um in Deutschland digitale Ungleichheiten
gezielt abzubauen und nachhaltige digitalisierungsbezogene Schulentwicklungsprozesse
anzustoßen. Damit bietet diese Publikation eine fundierte Handreichung für Schulleitungen,
Lehrkräfte sowie Akteur*innen der Bildungsadministration und Schulaufsicht, digitale
Schulentwicklung chancengerecht zu gestalten und erfolgreiche Ansätze in eigene
Kontexte zu übertragen."

text: "Data ecosystems offer new opportunities for value creation by enabling companies
to combine and reuse\r\ndata beyond their own boundaries. Coopetition, i.e., simultaneous
cooperation and competition, is an\r\nimportant dynamic within data ecosystems
that must be understood and managed well to leverage the\r\nnon-rivalrous nature
of data. A systematic literature review of 38 peer-reviewed studies on ecosystems\r\nand
coopetition was conducted to clarify how coopetition affects data ecosystems.
Using qualitative\r\ncontent analysis, the study summarizes how coopetition is
calibrated, what results it produces, and what\r\nchallenges are associated with
it. The resulting Data Ecosystem Coopetition (DECo) model specifies\r\nfour management
levers, as well as the associated outcomes and common challenges. In addition,
six\r\ncycles were identified that link levers, challenges, and outcomes. These
cycles provide concise guidance\r\non elements that tend to vary together and
highlight areas that are prone to specific tensions."

text: Data-driven business models are transforming industries, yet small and medium-sized
enterprises (SMEs) often lack the resources to participate in emerging data sharing
initiatives. Data spaces provide a federated infrastructure for sovereign data
sharing, but SME participation remains limited due to complex onboarding processes
involving technical, organizational, legal, and economic barriers. Data trustees
have been proposed as intermediaries to facilitate data sharing, but their specific
role in supporting SME onboarding has not been systematically explored. Here we
present a reference process for SME data space onboarding and derive four design
principles, structured along the TELO framework, describing how data trustees
can address these barriers. Our findings reveal that SMEs require comprehensive
support throughout the onboarding journey, with particular emphasis on business
case development. The results offer actionable guidance for data space operators
and policymakers seeking to broaden ecosystem participation as the European Union
advances its data strategy.

text: Data Spaces are establishing themselves as a decentralized alternative for
sovereign data sharing across organizations. However, their adoption faces significant
challenges, particularly the lack of proven business models that encourage participation
and value creation. A data space business model captures value differently than
either traditional business models or platform business models. This paper addresses
this challenge by developing the Data Space Canvas, a structured framework for
designing and aligning business models in data spaces consisting of nine building
blocks. The canvas was developed following the design science research methodology.
The modular and role-specific structure of the Data Space Canvas facilitates shared
understanding and supports business model development across participants. This
research contributes a practical tool that enables organizations to conceptualize,
communicate, and refine their role and business model in data spaces.

text: "Taking pupils’ diverse needs into account is considered a central requirement
of inclusive education (Booth & Ainscow, 2016). These needs are—according to Ainscow’s
(2007) inclusive turn—not primarily ‘special educational needs’, but diverse needs
of all learners. For the rather segregated German educational system, this endeavour
applies especially to primary education, where needs are still developing and
pupils are not yet assigned to different types of schooling according to their
needs and abilities.\r\n\r\nDespite a substantial amount of research on pupils’
basic psychological needs for autonomy, competence and social relatedness (Ryan
et al., 2022), strategies that technology education teachers apply in this regard
are not yet well understood. Besides interventional studies on technology education,
indicating effectiveness of self‑directed and action‑oriented teaching and learning,
there is a dearth of research on how teachers address different needs as a routine.\r\n\r\nThe
purpose of the presented study is therefore to investigate and systematize actions
and strategies teachers apply, and to specify how pupils' needs are considered
when teaching technology education on a given topic.\r\n\r\nThe overall study
used a mixed-methods approach to the question how pupils’ needs are characterized
by themselves and by their teachers, and how they were taken into account in a
lesson adapted and delivered by the teachers. In the sub-study presented here,
participating primary school teachers were interviewed about their consideration
of pupils’ needs whilst planning and conducting a technology education unit on
the functionality of robots.\r\n\r\nThe results gained from qualitative content
analysis of the interviews indicate that although the anticipation of different
needs is considered challenging, teachers possess a substantiate amount of practices
and strategies to take them into account.\r\n\r\nThe paper systematizes the practices
teachers described in structured interviews within strategies and discusses the
contribution of taking basic needs into account for inclusive technology education."

text: "\r\n DNA origami nanostructures (DONs) have promising
applications in biomedicine and biosensing, which often require their efficient
binding to target cells. By immobilizing the glycopeptide antibiotic vancomycin
on DONs, DON binding to Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria can be facilitated.
Here, we investigate how this multivalent binding is affected by the number and
arrangement of the vancomycin modifications on two‐dimensional DONs. We find that
for both Gram‐positive\r\n Bacillus subtilis\r\n
\ and Gram‐negative\r\n Escherichia
coli\r\n , binding increases with the number
of vancomycin modifications per DON. In general, binding to\r\n E.
coli\r\n is stronger than to\r\n B.
subtilis\r\n , which may be attributed to differences
in the architectures of the cell envelopes. Interestingly, for both bacteria,
the total number of vancomycin modifications appears to be more important than
their arrangement, as DONs with 18 vancomycin molecules on one side show similar
binding as DONs with 18 vancomycin molecules distributed over both sides. This
enables the attachment of multiple probe molecules to the vancomycin‐free side
of the DONs for enhancing detection efficiency without compromising binding affinity.
These results may thus provide guidelines for the design and synthesis of vancomycin‐modified
DONs for antimicrobial drug delivery and pathogen detection.\r\n "

text: The two-qubit controlled-not (C-NOT) gate is an essential component for gate-based
quantum circuits. In fact, its operation, combined with single qubit rotations
allows to realise any quantum circuit. Several strategies have been adopted in
order to build quantum gates. Among them, photonics offers the dual advantage
of excellent isolation from the environment and ease of manipulation at the single
qubit level. Here we adopt a scalable time-multiplexed approach in order to build
a fully reconfigurable architecture capable of implementing a post-selected C-NOT
gate with a fidelity of (93.8 ± 1.4)%. We then show how our time-multiplexed platform
can be employed to combine a C-NOT and a single qubit gate in order to generate
the four Bell states.
