  text: '<jats:title>Zusammenfassung</jats:title><jats:p>Eine zentrale Aufgabe fachdidaktischer
    Forschung stellt die Verbesserung schulischen Unterrichts dar. Die freie Bereitstellung
    wirksamer Unterrichtskonzeptionen zur Unterstützung des Selbststudiums von Lehrkräften
    bildet eine Strategie für eine flächendeckende Implementierung fachdidaktischer
    Innovationen. Allerdings etablieren sich zahlreiche, empirisch erfolgreich evaluierte
    Unterrichtskonzeptionen nicht nachhaltig an Schulen. Daher untersucht das vorliegende
    Forschungsvorhaben den Implementationsprozess solcher Materialien unter authentischen
    Bedingungen. Dazu wurde kriteriengeleitet eine evidenzbasierte, fachdidaktisch
    innovative Unterrichtskonzeption ausgewählt: das Münchener Unterrichtskonzept
    zur Quantenmechanik (MILQ). Diese wurde den teilnehmenden Lehrkräften fakultativ
    zur Verfügung gestellt. Mittels Fallstudien wurde die Implementierung von MILQ
    von elf Lehrkräften durch halbstandardisierte Interviews zu Beginn und am Ende
    einer Unterrichtsreihe zur Quantenmechanik sowie zwei Unterrichtsbeobachtungen
    mit je einem anschließenden <jats:italic>stimulated recall </jats:italic>explorativ
    erfasst. Die Probanden setzten sich überwiegend heuristisch mit MILQ auseinander
    und implementierten vor allem Elemente auf Sichtstrukturebene im Unterricht, die
    konform zu ihren bisherigen Vorstellungen waren. Dadurch wurde das fachdidaktische
    Innovationspotential nicht ausgeschöpft. Bezeichnend ist, dass der empirische
    Wirksamkeitsnachweis von MILQ für die Beurteilung der Lehrkräfte nicht relevant
    war, was aus theoretischer Sicht bislang als ein zentrales Argument der Bereitstellungsstrategie
    zur Implementierung fachdidaktischer Innovation angenommen wurde.</jats:p>'

  text: <jats:p>We report on coherent transmission of beyond 100 GBd signaling based
    on plasmonic technology. Using dual-drive plasmonic-organic-hybrid I/Q modulator
    on silicon photonics platform, we demonstrate the successful transmission of 160-GBaud
    QPSK and 140-GBaud 16QAM modulations.</jats:p>

  text: The three-dimensional (3D) distribution of individual atoms on the surface
    of catalyst nanoparticles plays a vital role in their activity and stability.
    Optimising the performance of electrocatalysts requires atomic-scale information,
    but it is difficult to obtain. Here, we use atom probe tomography to elucidate
    the 3D structure of 10 nm sized Co2FeO4 and CoFe2O4 nanoparticles during oxygen
    evolution reaction (OER). We reveal nanoscale spinodal decomposition in pristine
    Co2FeO4. The interfaces of Co-rich and Fe-rich nanodomains of Co2FeO4 become trapping
    sites for hydroxyl groups, contributing to a higher OER activity compared to that
    of CoFe2O4. However, the activity of Co2FeO4 drops considerably due to concurrent
    irreversible transformation towards CoIVO2 and pronounced Fe dissolution. In contrast,
    there is negligible elemental redistribution for CoFe2O4 after OER, except for
    surface structural transformation towards (FeIII, CoIII)2O3. Overall, our study
    provides a unique 3D compositional distribution of mixed Co-Fe spinel oxides,
    which gives atomic-scale insights into active sites and the deactivation of electrocatalysts
    during OER.

  text: Nanostructured manganese oxides have a rich variety of morphologies and crystal
    phases which can undergo transformations during synthesis and application. Although
    these structural features are crucial for their performance, the mechanisms behind
    such transitions are not well understood. Herein, we describe the mechanism of
    transformation from layered 2D δ-MnO2 nanosheets to the scarcely reported γ-MnO2
    nanocone morphology. Despite the common purpose of introducing Fe dopants to enhance
    the conductivity of layered manganese oxides, the Fe galvanic exchange reaction
    was found responsible for such coupled phase/morphology transition. Electrochemical
    characterization confirmed a distinct electrochemical behaviour of the nanocones,
    emphasizing the need to unravel the mechanism of 2D MnO2 transformation. Such
    mechanistic insights were gained by systematic and rigorous electron microscopy
    studies. The effect of the local chemical composition was determined by energy
    dispersive X-ray spectroscopy while electron energy loss spectroscopy unravelled
    the key influence of the oxidation state of Mn ions within nanosheets and nanocones.
    We propose and demonstrate a Mn2+-mediated oxidative mechanism of coupled morphology/phase
    transformation subjected to the equilibrium of Fe and Mn ions during galvanic
    exchange reaction. These findings contribute to the understanding of the growth
    and morphology/phase transformations of manganese oxide nanostructures, providing
    insights for the rational design of nanomaterials.

  text: <jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Many critical codebases are written
    in C, and most of them use preprocessor directives to encode variability, effectively
    encoding software product lines. These preprocessor directives, however, challenge
    any static code analysis. SPLlift, a previously presented approach for analyzing
    software product lines, is limited to Java programs that use a rather simple feature
    encoding and to analysis problems with a finite and ideally small domain. Other
    approaches that allow the analysis of real-world C software product lines use
    special-purpose analyses, preventing the reuse of existing analysis infrastructures
    and ignoring the progress made by the static analysis community. This work presents
    <jats:sc>VarAlyzer</jats:sc>, a novel static analysis approach for software product
    lines. <jats:sc>VarAlyzer</jats:sc> first transforms preprocessor constructs to
    plain C while preserving their variability and semantics. It then solves any given
    distributive analysis problem on transformed product lines in a variability-aware
    manner. <jats:sc>VarAlyzer</jats:sc> ’s analysis results are annotated with feature
    constraints that encode in which configurations each result holds. Our experiments
    with 95 compilation units of OpenSSL show that applying <jats:sc>VarAlyzer</jats:sc>
    enables one to conduct inter-procedural, flow-, field- and context-sensitive data-flow
    analyses on entire product lines for the first time, outperforming the product-based
    approach for highly-configurable systems.</jats:p>

  text: Lithium niobate (LiNbO3), a material frequently used in optical applications,
    hosts different kinds of polarons that significantly affect many of its physical
    properties. In this study, a variety of electron polarons, namely free, bound,
    and bipolarons, are analyzed using first-principles calculations. We perform a
    full structural optimization based on density-functional theory for selected intrinsic
    defects with special attention to the role of symmetry-breaking distortions that
    lower the total energy. The cations hosting the various polarons relax to a different
    degree, with a larger relaxation corresponding to a larger gap between the defect
    level and the conduction-band edge. The projected density of states reveals that
    the polaron states are formerly empty Nb 4d states lowered into the band gap.
    Optical absorption spectra are derived within the independent-particle approximation,
    corrected by the GW approximation that yields a wider band gap and by including
    excitonic effects within the Bethe-Salpeter equation. Comparing the calculated
    spectra with the density of states, we find that the defect peak observed in the
    optical absorption stems from transitions between the defect level and a continuum
    of empty Nb 4d states. Signatures of polarons are further analyzed in the reflectivity
    and other experimentally measurable optical coefficients.

  text: In Germany, dual learning programmes are increasingly offered by higher education
    institutions. These programmes’ main characteristic and greatest challenge is
    their integration of academic and vocational learning. So far, this challenge
    has frequently been stated without specifying its exact nature and consequences
    for learners. The present study addresses this pedagogical research gap and examines
    the extent of variation in the degree of integration among dual study programmes.
    With reference to curriculum theory, the study develops an empirical typology
    of curricular integration in dual programmes. The data sample consists of 152
    programmes at (dual) universities and universities of applied sciences. Data is
    analysed using hierarchical cluster analysis. Results indicate that the currently
    prevailing forms of curricular integration should best be differentiated according
    to five types. The five overlapping types of integration are located on a continuum
    ranging from parallelism through organisational linking to full curricular integration
    targeted immediately at students’ personal integration. The analysis confirms
    that there are problems with complying with integration standards set on the policy
    level. Above all, the study offers new insights on what marks the diverse integration
    landscape of dual study programmes. It proves that approaches to integration are
    more differentiated than previous research has shown.
