<abstract lang="eng">&lt;p&gt;First-principles calculations were combined with scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) measurements to analyze the adsorption of diindenoperylene (DIP) molecules on Cu(111) surfaces.&lt;/p&gt;</abstract>
